It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

In the “we live in interesting times” meaning.

We, as a people, do not want to emulate the second half of that ancient Chinese proverb: “. . . and attract the attention of powerful and influential people.”

Too bad New Mexico doesn’t have a harbor with a shipload of tea to mess around with! Maybe a bunch of NM patriots could burn an 18 wheeler load of Poblano peppers at the state capitol instead?

The Rio Grande flows through Albuquerque, their largest city. That might count as a “port.”

And I believe there were *NO* reports of gun violence all through the Demonstration…

Whenever a progressive says “we” or “ours”, it’s hard to tell if they mean all of “us” as Americans or just themselves employing the royal first person plural.

If nobody follows her order then she hasn’t any authority to give the order. By obeying the order people give her the authority. Everyone thinks that “somebody” aught to do “something”. Well, everyone IS SOMEBODY!

US Code 18 Section 241 states:

“If two or more persons conspire to injure, oppress, threaten, or intimidate any person in any State, Territory, Commonwealth, Possession, or District in the free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege secured to him by the Constitution or laws of the United States, or because of his having so exercised the same; or
If two or more persons go in disguise on the highway, or on the premises of another, with intent to prevent or hinder his free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege so secured—
They shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and if death results from the acts committed in violation of this section or if such acts include kidnapping or an attempt to kidnap, aggravated sexual abuse or an attempt to commit aggravated sexual abuse, or an attempt to kill, they shall be fined under this title or imprisoned for any term of years or for life, or both, or may be sentenced to death.”

If we had a federal government that was actually interested in its job (protecting the rights of its citizens) the governor, along with anyone on her staff that assisted in drafting or promulgating this blatantly unconstitutional executive order, would be rounded up, imprisoned, tried, and convicted under this code. If anyone were to be arrested and jailed under this ukase this could then be considered kidnapping, and the death penalty would be on the table.

If anyone here on this site honestly believes that our current SwampState will do literally ANYTHING about this, I’ve got a large bridge for sale in Brooklyn; cash only, small non-consecutive bills, please.

You could use that Section to lock up any and all ‘progressive’ politicians and most of the swamp rats they appointed to do their bidding.
All it takes is one successful conviction and the rest will finish themselves off with apoplectic fits.
Start with killary, pelousy and the *resident for conspiring to prevent citizens from enjoying their right to vote freely and fairly and have their votes counted equally.
Politicians keep coming up with new laws because they’re afraid of the old ones.

My Cherokee ancestors were the victims of that mindset, which resulted in the Trail of Tears, but it goes to show just how much effect an unpopular executive order, or even a SCOTUS decision is capable of accomplishing. Eventually, “We the People” decide how much official tyranny we are willing to tolerate! The Tree of Liberty is getting very thirsty.
