    Funniest one I saw somewhe, hopefully not here…

    Anyway a double screenshot of bullet points, one an official list of omicron symptoms;

    headache, sore throat, stuffy nose, sniffles, cough…

    And the other a bottle of NyQuil with the symptoms it relieves on the label;

    headache, sore throat, stuffy nose, sniffles, cough…

    And the tag line, “Fixed it!”

        The unfortunately all-too-common inability to admit he was wrong.

        It’s better to admit you had bad data, and correct the error, than continue to insist that you “did the right thing”. That is the way engineering works, and the way science generally is supposed to work.

        (Did you know we used the wrong figure for the specific gravity of fluorine for seventy-three years? Moissan measured it as 1.51 in 1886; Callery Chemical determined that it was actually 1.108 in 1959. There’s a phase shift at cryogenic temps that screwed everything up.)

        But politicians are not engineers or scientists. They just think they are.

        This probably explains why they often act more like the high priests of a cult.

        The problem is that right now, the “cult” has the reins of power. And that never ends well.

        We need more ‘gorebull warming’ to fight the fakeflu 😉

        All 25 researchers were fully vaccinated and one had a booster shot. Before leaving for the station, they underwent a PCR test in Belgium two hours before flying to South Africa…In South Africa, they quarantined for 10 days and took another PCR test. A further test was needed when leaving Cape Town for Antarctica and a final one five days after that.”

        After they reached Antarctica…

        Two-thirds of the researchers have tested positive.

        “(Did you know we used the wrong figure for the specific gravity of fluorine for seventy-three years?”

        And the “official” human chromosome count was wrong for years as well — despite all the other scientists “confirming” it.

        And then there was that Pluto embarrassment.

        Don’t get me started on the “food pyramid.”

        As to DJT , while in my view he has been awol from the primary cause since mid-‘20, -said absence only explainable for the darkest of reasons- he is an old man dealing with personal fear for his personal well-being and has jumped on every potion since he had the crap while still in office…and he has that right like everybody else, and is more afraid of being “intubated” than of long-term effects of the vax, as he knows there is probably no long-term for him.

        He does NOT have the right to push that fear onto the people. He should make his own choice for his own self and stfu about it.

        We shouldn’t be surprised at DJT’s behavior. He is a notorious germ phobe and has been for a long long time.
        So was Howard Hughes, and look what happened to him.
        Phobias are by definition irrational. They may or may not otherwise affect the victim’s judgment, but we must be wary of the fact that they often escalate with age.
        It would be doubly tragic if we followed one dotard with another in the White House.
        Our best insurance is to Primary the whole lot, clear away the deadwood, parasites, and the Deep State, and so restore Constitutional government.
        Fire them all and let God sort us out.

      I wouldn’t want to lay this purely at the feet of strokes, clots, and other adverse Vax reactions.

      Invisibly factored in here are deaths from folks who missed chemo appointments, delayed surgeries, and any number of other ‘elective’ medical procedures because our medical leadership chained themselves to a singular approach and their pharma/political cronies insisted that all bend the knee and accept their prescription.

      The butchers bill will climb higher as the medical community has placed their reputations on this pyre and trust of one’s physician has become some quaint, old-fashioned notion. When I go see the reflector-heads, all I ever get is the party line; take the jab, sign up for a lifetime of statins, and don’t you read any of the research material or consult actuarial tabes as you are horribly unqualified and will certainly misunderstand it.

    The wife and I escaped from the Peoples’ Republic of Vermont seven years ago. I maintain communications with a clandestine Conservative radio station and resistance groups. Things have continued to go downhill since we went over the wire. The first panel is an excellent portrayal of Chittenden County. Vermont is one of the most vaxxed states, yet it has the highest number of cases.

    Daughter sent a link that I can’t get to copy here…from The Patriot Chris about all theaters everywhere showing only one movie on Jan 7 and 8 “The 355”..and also apparently corresponding to a Trump press conference on the 8th…

        Weird, Yet Regal theaters in Sarasota and Bradenton are also The 355 only while AMC Sarasota 12 has a full slate through Thursday and nothing on Fri and Sat., got to be something political going on with that…

        Checked a couple of the theaters near me in the Austin, TX area. They are showing “The 355” on thr 7th, but it’s not the *only* movie being shown on the 7th…

        Could just be that the theaters you’re looking at haven’t yet decided which movies currently on their roster this week are going to get held over for another week’s run (the “week” for theaters runs Friday through the following Thursday for scheduling purposes), so they’re only showing listing(s) for the *new* film(s) which are starting on Friday the 7th.

    I had omicron. I also was vaccinated. Omicron was really boring. I took an advil, had a sniffle for a couple of days, drank tea and chicken soup, and took a nap that first afternoon. That was my entire COVID experience. Probably, the vaccination reduced the severity, but also probably, omicron COVID is as mild as they say it is.

    And we killed civilization for that?

      No, jabless me had it too (either that or an uncharacteristic cold)…as shown in the NyQuil joke at the top, those are the typical symptoms. And a healthy adult with a decent immune system is a lot more critical to it being only that than a jab, the effects of which could come home to roost years from now.
