Still, even if you can say it which I can because I don’t give a fuck, doesn’t mean it’s correct, which the opening quote in the ‘toon is not.
White men may have built the structure, but they wouldn’t/couldn’t have if not for their white women. However, women motivate men to surpass themselves (both ways).
Yes sir, the figures are there. But what was it somebody said below about gov data sourcing? That does give pause.
Even more so the “derived” part that Sam mentions…I don’t doubt the hard numbers but I am always skeptical of selective inclusions and omissions to support a preconceived point or worse, an agenda.
All data is not objective fact, and all books are by definition subjective presentations of it…even much of the Bible as recorded by man. None of the great builders of civilisations would have lived without women and most would not have survived without them, whether or not credit is given where due.
In rejecting and refuting history as twisted, gerrymandered, and revised by the left we shouldn’t and don’t need to adopt their tactics, the proof of men building the world is all around us to see. And the proof of the contribution of women is those men themselves.

But when facts, reality, and science tell them they’re wrong about something, they resort to mysticism and “I say it, therefore it is so” faster than the average Cheyenne medicine chief.
Progressives as a whole are mired in superstitions they largely create themselves. “Man-made climate change” and “deep ecology” being just two examples of same.
Progressives latched on to primitivist, tribalist belief systems because Western science, plus Christianity and Judaism kept telling them “You know, you’re doing it wrong, that’s why it keeps failing to work”.
Rather than admit they’re wrong, they keep insisting that if they are given more power, and then total power, and then absolute power, they can make the world work the way they want it to- once everybody else stops opposing them.
Somebody else thought his Will would Triumph, about eighty years ago. Funny thing, he didn’t much like Western science, Christians or Jews either.

I love expanding liberal minds.
I was doing so earlier tonight at a gathering.
I even scratched the surface with a ‘liberal’ as to why I was so happy that Hillary did not win. She was a supporter. Then I suggested she read a book she had never heard of nor its author. I suggested she read Saul Alinsky’s ‘Rules for Radicals’ that he was writing when Hillary visited him and maybe he was one of her squeezes while Bill and her were in separate locations for a while. Hillary later wrote and asked him about how the book was coming as she looked forward to reading it having been exposed to it while he was writing it.
I did not mention this quite in his acknowledgments concerning Lucifer:
Lest we forget at least an over-the-shoulder acknowledgment to the very

Burning books for heat is now, the UK and elsewhere. Fuel poverty is real, with “carbon taxes”and green initiatives making heating fuels very expensive. So pensioners hit up the charity shops for those cheap books you can get for a dime or so, cheaper than wood or coal. From what the CDC was doing with gun crime numbers before stopped, to the pre-WWII US eugenics movement, to seeing in the climate wars how long-term temperature records of individual US stations that show no significant change to actual cooling are routinely “adjusted” to show “unprecedented” warming, I’m not sure that by itself is a good position to fight from.

This has nothing to do with today’s column, but I’m harking back to the strip’s comically-acronymed “Texans United” Antifa cell.
I just read a press release about a lawsuit involving a progressive campus organization called “Feminists United on Campus.”
Hmmmm…. that is very interesting. The FUC wants parental protection for them as legal adults because they get their feelings hurt.
The Title IX claim may or may not stand up.
However, the real question is this: when these overgrown children ub adult bodies reach the world of employment, do they realize that this kind of thing does not carry over into the corporate world? And that no employer gives a crap what words ‘trigger’ you? And that if you cause a lot of trouble at work with your post-adolescent self righteousness, you are more likely than not to be seen as a liability instead of an asset and sent to unemployment?
That should be interesting. They can throw fits and scream obscenities at other people but don’t want it done to them. There’s a catch to this. It may be a trip they weren’t expecting.
I love this quote:
“In other words, what is being jettisoned is likely not just history as we once understood it but rather de facto poorly taught “-studies” courses — which sadly become snapshots of particular (and often small) eras of history — designed to offer enough historical proof of preconceived theories about contemporary modern society. The students then are assumed by the course’s end to be outraged, persuaded, galvanized, and shocked in politically acceptable ways. Usually they are just bored, as supposedly with-it professors endlessly regurgitate the esoterica picked up in graduate schools.”
And VDH always has a strong finish
“Yet if one walks through the local Barnes & Noble bookstore, reviews the non-fiction best-seller lists, scans Amazon’s most-read categories, or looks through book ads in popular magazines, one is struck how well biographies of Churchill and Grant sell, and how histories of war and peace, exploration, and political careers capture the public interest — reminding us that the fault of declining college interest in the liberal arts may be not in the stars of vocationalism or the wrong values of students but rather deep within the university faculty and administration themselves.”
I have both the new Grant and Churchill bios and they are great…
Unfortunately these snowflakes aren’t being taught shit…or are being filled with shit..

Exactly! In the end, the one man who was definitely old enough to know better sacrificed himself for the love of a woman. His mother, actually. He was mortally wounded, but lived (you have to read it to understand).

Baltimore Woman Says She Will Use Gun Buyback Cash To Purchase Bigger Gun
You all can trust your grandkids not to trade your old .22 Ruger pistol or .300 BLK AR for some money for a video game or sneakers or candy, yes?

Data. Plural of datum is data.

T.M. Glad you mentioned it, and not me.
BeijaFlor
But more than one “geodetic datum” does not equal “geodetic data.”

Charles Murray’s entry at the Southern Poverty Lie Center is a lib-head exploding laugh-riot. Whew; boy are those folks thin-skinned. Everyone might consider gifting a book this Christmas, even a small one, in the things we get for others. Doesn’t need to have a political bent. Think of them as intellectual IED’s. 🙂
Old Codger
I thought it was the Southern Preposterous Liars Center.
Norm
“Datum” is a single point. “Data” is the plural.

Innate knowledge is dying with the millennials. They can’t find their way out of a paper bag, even with a map, a compass and a tour guide. Lost without their tablets. They don’t understand the real world because they’ve been deprived of it. It scares them.
Such a shame, too, to miss out on such a wealth of information and wonderful things, because their silly religion has melted their brains and turned them to jell=0.
eon
By the same token, millennials like Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez aka Ms. Crazy Eyes would last about six seconds in the primitive Eden they dream of.
I seriously doubt she knows how to build a shelter, treat a snakebite, or for that matter even cook in anything but a microwave.
“But..but- I’m supposed to have things done for me!”
Guess again, Ms. I’m Smarter Than Everybody Else. And to paraphrase The Stranger, if you try to force others to do your bidding, you’re going to look awfully silly walking around with that whip sticking out of your ass.

Ah, Miss Delilah, you do realize, don’t you, that your final statement was a mortal insult – to jello?!?!
Delilah T
Hah! Jell-o is flexible. Have you ever seen that mold that turns out a brain-shaped Jell-o? It looks real if the gelatin is red and is mixed with a some kind of creamy substance, or maybe use pureed tuna or salmon – same coloring. 🙂 Used to be a common dish at Hallowe’en parties a while back.

However, I am not under any obligation to do a detailed chemical and biological analysis before declaring the brown soft stuff the other side has presented is what it looks and smells like. No, I will not “at least” taste it either.

Democrats Ran Russian Bot ‘False Flag’ Operation In Alabama — And Media Fell For It
The media and Democrats (huge overlap there) are so consumed with vociferous worrying about “Russian interference” that local Democrat operatives made it look like the Russians were secretly supporting Roy Moore then let the media set up the backlash against Moore. Fake News used to make Fake News, details never at 11.

For all their efforts, Jones won by only 1.5 percent. Makes one wonder if the entire Russian collusion meme was really a Democrat effort flying under false colors. Steele’s dossier was financed by a Democrat, after all.

Sounds like Skye is Back-sliding a little towards Libtardism again. Maybe needs another spanking from Zed… 😉

Heh, so if you haven’t read this article
https://www.nationalreview.com/2018/12/liberal-arts-education-politicized-humanities/
You really should.

I have an original copy of the two-volume autobiography of U.S. Grant, which my great-grandfather bought after the Civil War was over and he and his brothers went home.
Out of Pres. Grant’s own mouth – priceless. I’m thinking that maybe I should keep it instead of just buying someone else’s opinion of him.
He made a lot of mistakes after that War was over and he had left office, but he owned up to them – unlike some current politicians.
