“Quidquid latine dictum sit, altum videtur.”

Anything said in Latin sounds profound.

  • Too Tall

Thanks, Chris. I’m not sure whether “Amazon Prime” or “That’s How We Roll, Dawg,” caused me to laugh harder, or was more profound.

  • JTC

    “That’s how they rolled dawg.”

Fixed it for you Zed, past tense.

    They made dawgs different then.

Like the Ole Messican Philosopher, Manuel Labor says, “I theenk, therefore I yam…

    I theenk.”

as Marcus Aurelius says – “Falsus praeses factionis criminalis electionem subripuit et cum dementia insanit, WTF?” or this from Cicero: “Pessima pestis in historia humana est covid19 quae omnes occidit et numquam finietur”

    • cb

My volume of Marcus is in English and I can’t find that anyplace : )
“A false president of the party of criminal choice subripuit with dementia crazy, WTF” &
“The worst plague in human history is the covid19 which all sets and never will be finished”

    • James McEnanly

I ran that last one through Google Translate, and got a note to check the latest information on Covid -19. At least they didn’t do anything abt the first one

Jerkus Bidenica Surrenderus … perhaps a Latin term for the Surrenderer-in-Chief occupying the White House, reminiscent of those Road Runner cartoons.

BTW … Australia was created and founded as a prison colony. The American colonies were created and founded as religious colonies. Oz is just reverting back to what is already inherent within their political DNA … inmates all.

Botany Bay became necessary when the Brits Georgia as a penal colony. Although they seem to be reverting to type, as well.

        … Brits lost Georgia …

I prefer Nolite Illegitimos Conterre Vos loosely translates to Don’t let the bastards get you down.

    • Blasternaz

“Nils Illigitimi Carborundum” translates to “Don’t let the bastards grind you down.” Not as nice as yours, but I think the end result is very similar.

      • Thor Odinsson

I always heard it as “Illigitimi Non Carborundum”, Don’t let the bastards wear you down! Either way, we need to take it to heart! Thanks Chris for such a free board of intelligent commentary!

and there’s a lot of things that need correcting right about now.

Speaking again of people taking care of their own backyard, areas of operation, and where and who you know, I heard a retired Major General speaking about people should get together with people they know and like minded people tp loosely coordinate to protect their counties. He suggested following the law and, of possible, working with cooperating law enforcement, especially sheriffs. He suggested armed, and possibly becoming deputized if that is ever called for. Cooperating with Constitution following military and LEO’s and supporting them as needed or called for were concepts. Such things as that. No websites. No memberships. Like minded people, or such like that. Defend the county against enemies and bad actors when needed.

    Ut Quam Nos Volumen, Canis.

Being even vaguely organized would probably attract swamp leos galore. Getting deputized might help avoid the worst of that… maybe
