Right. Take a traditional marque like Jaguar, known for luxury and high performance cars, go all electric, price it like an Aston Martin, then market it to artsy-fartsy types that live on their friend’s couch.

I’m pretty sure that ad wouldn’t get someone who drives his Roller or his Aston to the Hamptons to buy a Jag, and I’m pretty sure the freaks they showed on the commercial take the bus wherever they go. I have a feeling that Jag won’t be around much longer and parts for mine are going to get harder to find.
Before retiring, I was the senior chauffeur at our limo/transportation company. The owners leased a ‘Jaguar SUV’ (two words that should NEVER be used together)…..I drove it once for a 10hr gig and the driver’s seat was without a doubt THE single most uncomfortable automotive seat I’ve ever encountered….and I’ve driven quite a few earlier model Jags that were the epitome of luxury! I have no idea what’s happened to their QC as of late, but they’re in trouble….and this EV just might be the death knell for a once fantastic car company! 🙁
