The new racism transcends politics, and history. Be careful y’all.

I watched Dennis Prager’s “Fireside Chat” yesterday and he made an interesting comment. He said to ask anyone who casts aspersions about racism whether they believe you have more in common with a black conservative or a white leftist.

He expanded to say things like… I would rather have my daughter marry a black conservative than a white leftist…. I would rather have dinner with a conservative atheist lesbian person of colour than a leftist hetero Caucasian male…

Basically he is making the point the real racists are those who are obsessed & make everything about identity politics. Since the leftists can’t win the battle of ideas, they’re trying to change the rules.

My point exactly about the weaponizing of racism and other isms to achieve their true goals. The warning about being careful relates to the effectiveness of their shaming of even conservative blacks into buying into their shit…as Damon is exhibiting a bit right now.

But I can speak personally and with complete agreement to the accuracy of the daughter’s marriage thing; my eldest at 47 is finally happily married to a good hardworking redneck family man who is black and who replaced the wackjob whitish leftist she had poorly chosen before.

It’s not about race or any of the other herrings of any color red or otherwise as they claim. Son-in law and Damon are both too smart to be their slave; they see the truth and will figure it out.

Does Sam’s shirt cover too much, or does it say enough just as it is? Let the polling begin.

Personally, though, I’d change it to “Send THEM Back”. But that’s just me.

Somali was a slaver nation for over a millennium.
      The elite Somali’s ran it.
The black Africans were the slaves. There were slaver rules.
      Omar’s family were slavers.
Omar’s father is said to be an ally to a murderous dictator in Somalia.
Omar is said to have falsified who she was to be admitted as an Omar. She is actually part of the elite that are upset at the West for ending slavery and the Somali elite’s good life as a nexus of the slave trade across the world.
There is more. She is “complicated.”
But, I, personally, were what is said is true and it was my judgement, would revoke her citizenship and expel her.
Additionally, her following Sharia is likely sufficient under the law of our nation. yet people refuse to accept that right now, no matter how true it is.

Not to be too negative but I’ve noticed that quoting movies has become the height of sophistication in modern times. TV shows like Suits, Moonlighting (I’m dating myself), and any fast action buddy sitcom has people trading quips from movies. A long time ago it was Shakespeare and Dickens. I don’t know if that’s sad or evolution. Maybe the latter as in the old days Shakespeare and Dickens were popular culture but still I remember the TV’s Batman and Wild, Wild West’s James West trading Shakespearean quotes to emphasize a point. I’m getting old.

Calvin, I think Pamela summed it up perfectly a few weeks ago when she quoted Heinlein to the effect of …stealing “Romeo and Juliet,” filling off the serial number, dropping a nuclear power plant in it, and making a fortune.

Scripture, fables, myths, literature, theater, music, movies, the media may change, but Truth is eternal.

Or, as Kipling wrote: “The Gods of the Copybook Headings with terror and slaughter return!

        They promised Perpetual Peace
If only we gave up our Weapons.
The Wars of the Tribes would cease
But when we Disarmed, they Sold us,
And delivered us Bound to the Foe.
And the Gods of the Copybook Headings,
said, “Stick to the Devil you Know.”

I think TT is right; the messenger may change to suit what is current in culture, but the message has remained fairly constant.

Would we have thought that the music from 50 years ago as was the focus yesterday, would be the quotable and prescient wisdom of today? And yet it is, as is the script from even more recent media like some from teeter.

Can’t forget that it is the creators and writers that put the words and scenarios into play, and would we say that there is less genius in their minds than of earlier poets, or is it just the delivery that has changed? I love me some classics, among them the Bard, and Kipling, and Hemingway, for an eclectic sampling of narrators of the world condition and man’s. But just as much, some like Asimov, and L. David, and even Hendrix.

The only constant is in the works of the Creator and the words of His Son…everything else is a contemporary for its day acknowledgement and restatement. IMO.

      • July 26, 2019 at 10:07 am

WTF is a teeter? Don’t know, but I guess autocorrect does. I meant teevee.

      • July 26, 2019 at 12:25 pm
        kadaka

Teeter is a regional variation of Potater, as used when talking about teeter totters, which just about every kid can agree are fun when they’re warm and yet not that bad when cold.

I’ve heard about teevees, companies used to make them long ago. Now everyone makes monitors, right now with my PC I’m using a great cheap 32″ model with built-in stereo speakers, for technical reasons it works better on VGA than HDMI. Nice remote too. Like many modern monitors it has an emergency digital tuner that probably won’t work without close proximity to a broadcaster and a special antenna. Sometimes I use it with the cable box.

I’m thinking of putting it on a wall mount, which should work for me as I use a $15 wireless mini-keyboard that looks kinda like a game controller but has everything. I can walk around holding it and not have to sit down, and Lord knows I need more reasons to move more and sit less.

Since I mentioned Churchill, I think we can put this sign post in the ground concerning the Special Counsel Investigation and the fight with the Deep State:

“Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.”

There is much work to be done to recapture the culture that made the shining city on the hill. Educate the current generation as to what their inherited legacy really is. Tell the truth, warts and all, it’s the only long term disinfectant. The opposition relies on rebranding history to vilify those who made it. Watch the march through the institutions (Boy Scouts accept girls and gays) and stop it. Do not let them own history, read your child’s text book and get in the face of your school board.

Now is the time to get your hands dirty.

ANOTHER WIN! SCOTUS rules President Trump CAN use $2.5 billion in military funds to BUILD THE WALL

So the ACLU has vowed to fight on “…to halt the irreversible and imminent damage from Trump’s border wall.” And House Intelligence Committee (heh heh) chair Jerry Nadler says he’s “in effect” running an impeachment inquiry while demanding the nigh-unprecedented release of the Grand Jury testimony so they can sieve through the slop looking for the horrible treasonous crimes they always knew were in there.

Well Congress has just left on their European-style six week vacation so the TDS will now die down for a bit.
