“Chuck Norris once bet NASA he could survive re-entry without a spacesuit. On July 19th, 1999, a naked Chuck Norris re-entered the earth’s atmosphere, streaking over 14 states and reaching a temperature of 3000 degrees. An embarrassed NASA publicly claimed it was a meteor, but everybody knows they owe him a beer.”
Mankind never changes.
Note that every attempt by Man to create a dominant religion has been the priesthood and government in collusion to convince the people to behave themselves by claiming their god was ALWAYS watching and would know when they sinned.
Publicly draw and quarter all of the Flock founders, sicko-phants, investors, approving police officials, approving politicians, … the list is too long. But MANY positives would result.
Got tired of Red Light Cameras so they went Red Light 2.0. Like those super-intellectuals that invented stop/start on the newer cars. Like I see on that non existent Nine Line t shirt Advert, ” The threat of aggression can no longer be tolerated” With a nice picture of GORT. (Or Jeff or Jo? Ha Ha ).
And there are some parts of town where you don’t want to be sitting at a red light with a dead engine.

Which is the idea..starters aren’t cheap and dealers don’t make money selling cars, they make money fixing them, and guaranteed you won’t find a compatible one in a scrapyard or online.
According to the Brits, who have some experience with speed cameras, one way to defeat such is to apply some matte finish clear coat spray (available in most auto parts stores) to the lens. Fuzzes up the resolution sufficiently so that it can’t read a license plate. Best part: a cursory examination of the camera reveals nothing wrong.
The trick becomes shinnying up the poles. I see a market for a new type of paintball.
No need to shinny up a flock pole … one can buy a pole that can have a spray paint can installed on one end and the trigger that activates the spray is located down at the handle. The ‘tree surgeons*’ around here use these poles to paint black pruning sealer on branch stubs after cutting off a limb (usually a tree limb).

On the positive side, our local police seem to nab daily a number of folks driving with suspended or cancelled licenses along the stretch of highway where the only cameras are stationed… oh yeah, and more than a few drug transport busts as well. It is the only way in and out of town by road. You can watch live any camera you want live too.
That and 20+ year old ‘students’ assaulting teachers or making false claims they were ‘touched’ to get back at them for bad grades.
For some things, surveillance is useful, but not everything everywhere all the time

Jim in Alaska
I, of course fully support our gracious overlords’ efforts to protect us from ourselves with the one flock camera installed in Alaska.
I’m told that the one Alaska camera was placed pointing into the forest by research scientists. Funded by a U.S. Government grant, they are trying to gather evidence to confirm that bears in fact really do shit in the woods………

Does that make Flock Cameras our new deity?
Flock cameras only record license plates and model/color of car. Sez so onna label.
Have been instances where police responded to something they thought was in the car, like a firearm. Sez so onna subguns forum. 🙂
It was on the internet so it must be true.
No, it makes them the Thought Police TELEVISORS from 1984!

Nawp. You can see touch and cut down a Flock Camera.
and they’ve already been nailed to a stick
Flock- – – – -“Target-rich environment!”

Beat the Flockers? 😉

Saw a test in a car magazine that showed that Start/Stop only gives you 0.1mpg extra… and burns out your starter motor super-fast.

Any way to track where the signal from that camera goes?
I know some guys that specialize in finding small things under murky water. The swimmin’ hole’s clear water would be a luxury!

“…kinetic action…taken by humans.”
There are several things that will not be remedied until this happens.

Flock = OUTDOOR PRISON CAMERAS
Chuck Norris (the very best.)
The Camel`s nose is already under the
tent, Flock cameras just insinuate it
further.
They`ll never give up until they have
us under total subjugation.
I forgot to add R.I.P.
Once they have us under ‘total subjugation’, then the party really starts. Invitations may not be refused.

It is the only way in and out of town by road. You can watch live any camera you want live too.
If only such cameras were mandatory in our public schools.
Teachers should be under at least as much scrutiny as LE.
