I’m pretty sure the paper shredder is listening in…every time anyone mentions anything when it’s turned on, ads for that start showing up…and who the hell needs a fridge with an internet hookup ?
I said that to the wife and she laughed, the toaster laughed, I shot the toaster…
Priceless, as a connoisseur of fine song parodies I’m not even going to ask where you got that from, because if it was from your own mind that’d be scary 🙂

Wifi needs a little more resolution. 😉
There was an article not too long ago about ‘roombas’…seems they send covert signals back to china to map out everywhere they’ve been, even giving a rough floorplan of some secure areas.
Mine have turned into Joe Biden. They get five feet off the pedestal, dead stop, think a bit, twirl around, then return to the pedestal, cleaning NOTHING. I’m about ready to take them out to the back 40 and put them down. If this means I’m disorienting one of their “weather balloons” maybe it’s worth it.
Between our phone tracking us 24/7, our phone map app knows where we have been and when, our wifi and bluetooth are seen by anyone that has the will. In Britain, ANPR’s are on every major road, are Flock cameras any worse?
Can’t steal what’s already stolen, I found it online anyway 🙂

Petraeus was speaking at an In-Q-Tel gathering, March 2012, about the emerging “Internet of Things” — network-connected appliances and household devices. “Spies will no longer have to break into a home to plant electronic ‘bugs’ because … people will ‘bug’ their own homes.”
That’s assuming you know where they put them…best to just suspect everything that plugs in or runs on batteries…and some things that don’t, or are in your neighbour’s yard, or attached to the pole outside the house.

Harold Finch: Hester’s living off the grid – no photos online and nothing on the social networking sites.
John Reese: I never understood why people put all their information on those sites. Used to make our job a lot easier at the CIA.
Harold Finch: Of course. That’s why I created them.
John Reese: You’re telling me you invented online social networking, Finch?
Harold Finch: The Machine needed more information. People’s social graph, their associations. The government had been trying to figure it out for years. Turns out most people were happy to volunteer it.

That’s why I keep the cameras turned off/covered and the microphones disabled.

No worries, Javier is working on a very special Ghillie Suit, right Chris?
I favor the Urban Ghillie. Near impossible to detect, and costs next to nothing.
