You think it ‘s bad down there ? try it with a three party system when it goes to four for a while. Several good chances to form a Conservative gov’t have been thwarted by vote-splitting, the only good thing is it looks like it’s going to go the other way this time, which is why sockboy wants ‘ranked voting’ like they have in Alaska, ensuring perpetual leftist rule with the minority of the vote.
I think MP’s uo here and Congressmen down there should be based the same as your Senate, with each Province/State getting an equal number so that two provinces or a handful of States can’t decide the election all by themselves leaving the majority empty handed. Sockboy ended up PM with less than 20% of the popular vote. Winning 100% of the votes in a Riding doesn’t get you any more seats than ‘just enough to win +1’
My day just won’t start right until I read “Day by Day”. I tried to look back and I believe it is well in excess of 15 yrs now, Back when our heroes were both just ordinary (or extrodinary) engineers and a marketing chick.
