“Thug” actually comes to us from the Hindi language, and (so far) they haven’t been pulling out their hair and rending their garments over “CULTURAL APPROPRIATION” (whatever the hell that means).
This old fogy took it to be Skye’s acknowledgement that the party she had believed in was a bunch of robbing hoodlums. Per the Online Etymology Dictionary (Etymonlinedotcom) that derivation of ‘hood’ is: “gangster,” 1930, American English, shortened form of hoodlum. And is now another forbidden word.

Too many people believe that Robin Hood “took from the rich to give to the poor”.
He didn’t, he took taxmoney from the governing body and returned it to the people who had paid it…the rich…the poor didn’t pay that sort of tax directly the government, no mater what disney says.
and Robin of Loxley was one of the ‘elite’ class,so helping himself to a refund on his taxes was just an extra benefit. I swear, disney did more to screw up history befire they got ‘woke’ than after

Robbin’ “hoods” I think might mean they’re pilfering from the workin’ class neighbor”hoods”. At least that’s my interpretation.
Being facetious of course, some elite pos pol was raising hell for the poor innocent invader who pummeled a cop in NYC being called a thug…
