Nah, piano wire requires a lot of cleanup after use. Rope doesn’t and can be used for other purposes later.

Actually, that quote came from Nikita Kruschev in conversation with Pearl Mesta while touring the Mesta Tool works at her behest in Pennsylvania. She was the US Ambassador to Luxembourg and the inspiration for the musical Call me Madam. She was of the Skirvin hotel family of Oklahoma City and a world famous socialite. I don’t know where Nikita gor the quote from.

I wonder how many BLM and such will actually hang themselves? How many intentionally? Or Un…?

If they win their Marxist war, they soon will be destined for such as this. Sad. A waste of good machinery.

I know who;s buying the rope and what I think will be done with it. Don’t disturb me. I’m on a roll.
There may be something those Kenosha ….. …. … . characters are trying to avoid by tearing down every lamppost in their areas of (temporary) control. They hang horse thieves and horse murderers, don’t they? They are modern horse thieves and killers. Doan cha know. And when do the blue ruled towns run out of food except for long pig?

I asked this on this blog, many weeks ago. Either nobody know, or the brick companies are owned by influential dhimocrapts. We still don’t know who is “supplying all the bricks. Good question. Don’t let t he dhims bury the answer.

NYIAC, That picture represents the fate of tens of thousands of meat animals – cattle, hogs, turkeys, chickens, etc. – in this country this past spring and early summer. In their neverending vendetta against the EVIL ORNAGE MAN the never-to-be-sufficiently-damned Democrats forcibly shut down the meat processing/packing plants nation wide. Meat animals are only marketable for a certain window of time after which they are worthless. With no place to sell their animals farmers were forced to slaughter/bury stock. Additionally, they had to stop the generation of more animals. Thus the current shortages of beef, pork, turkey and chicken we’re experiencing today with concomitant SIGNIFICANT price increases.

BUT WAIT! It gets better! Even poultry require time (months) to go from a freshly laid egg to a marketable animal. For cattle and hogs, IIRC, it takes YEARS! So we’re looking at YEARS before the market returns to even a semblance of its former state. And who actually believes prices will ever go back? One local Bar-B-Q restaurant chain had to raise their prices for brisket over FOUR DOLLARS PER POUND!

You are so correct on reestablishing a supply chain, or increasing a supply chain, of cattle or other live animals. There are long delays inherent in the life cycle of the animals.

This is all part of the asymmetric war I have been talking about, that is being waged against the USA and the Western World.

The ‘Evil Orange Man’ is simply the current stand in for the evil that the Progressives, etc, will always say is destroying the nation and the world. Those Progressives, etc, have always been at war with East Asian.
They did not understand that American would vote for a hard talking, brash, aggressive, winning New Yorker who understands who the enemy is.

Bill Ayers and the Weather Underground (best colleges, advanced degrees, technocratic type people) were reported by an FBI informant to have expected to put 50,000,000 of the then USA population into reeducation camps (Think Hillary Fun Camps / Specialized FEMA Camps) from which they expecting to kill 25,000,000 as unrepentant capitalists.
Shades of George Bernard Shaw and the Fabian Socialist and Progressive policy of killing those who could not regularly show their worth to society.

They see an opportunity to both “virtue signal” and get “in with the In Crowd”. Down the road, they look at MS and Google now and see a future in which they replace national governments.

What they don’t realize is that in the future BLM, Antifa and the progressives generally visualize, there will be no “companies”, or “government”. Just themselves, ruling by fiat (whim).

And their whims consist of Rob, Rape, Loot, Kill, Burn.

Companies need workers. Can you visualize any of this crowd actually working?

To borrow from John Ringo (see The Last Centurion), they’re grasshoppers. “Summertime, and the livin’ is easy.” They want an eternal summer in which everything just falls into their laps in between bouts of Rob, Rape, Loot, Kill, and Burn.

The thing is, a grasshopper is first cousin to a locust. And locusts never do anything but destroy. Ask the Mormons about that.

You cannot tame or reach a modus vivendi with locusts.

They must be destroyed. Before they destroy everything else.

As I alluded yesterday “Corporate” is a faceless committee focused on one thing; avoiding immolation by the activists, the media, and their own.

Corporate knows those forces can and will destroy it if it doesn’t assimilate, in spite of the fact that none of them are its customer base. Who is? We are. But they know we won’t destroy them for ignoring us while they are busily bowing to the dark overlords. Or will we?

Lenin meant our productivity will provide those who would destroy us with the tools of our destruction. But he could never have guessed that the tools we will use to prevent it are sold out too. And they don’t sell them at the Home Depot.

Don’t let yourself get caught in a situation like this where you have to shoot to protect yur life.
Avoid getting culled from your herd / group where this can happen.
Don’t do this alone. Though I have in a different situation when in my building during riots and looting events protecting my own and other buildings. Thank God I did not have to shoot. Carefully and successfully transferring the knowledge to the enemy of my superior defensive position and my available firepower did the job in those particular situations.

If the government refuses to protect you from the mob, your first recourse is to pay off the mob. See Chicago, New York, etc. Of course if the mob refuses to stay paid off, then the citizens must resort to forming an ad hoc government (vigilantes) to protect themselves.

We need to quit being nice and split some heads. You break the law, you reach for a weapon and you get hurt by a duly authorized LEO, doom on you. You riot because some criminal reached for a weapon to be used against a LEO and they get hurt in the process, doom on you too. What the hell is wrong with people? Who tolerates this behavior without second and third order consequences? Again, time to start splitting heads. Baseball bats and batons, .22 rim fire at groins and thighs…That ends the riot.

I’ve seen numerous calls to action here, but as I see it patience is the key to victory.
The Woke/BLM think themselves morally superior while trashing the lives of others in the hope of “normalizing” their predations. What they are doing will never be seen as “normal” by people who invest their lives into their prosperity, unlike the overindulged snowflakes who never worked a day in their lives.
But the real challenge here is to wake up the 99.99% who, as a matter of principle, tolerate others in order to be tolerated and get on with their lives in pursuit of the American Dream. Presently they don’t understand their otherwise laudable attitude is part of the problem.
Let the morons have their way until they expose the full extent of their perfidy and the Swamp, that is to say the rot that created them such as the Teacher’s Unions, so we can do a thorough job of mucking it all out.

As an aside, I always thought it ironic that Lenin made the reference to buying rope.
In the end Communism failed because it couldn’t _make_ its own rope (or a whole lot of other stuff for that matter).

If they’re wishing that they could somehow rule the rest of us, they should be careful what they wish for. Stalin executed ++300 senior Red Army officers after making them dig their own graves. That isn’t all he did to the Red Army and the rest of the populace.
And then there was Robespierre: got booted out of “control” of the new French government, tried to retake control and was sent to Madame La Guillotine, the very same sharp blade that executed so many, many people who had no real connections to the French royals.

Be careful what you wish for. You might get it. And you likely won’t like it.

Mob rule is such an ugly thing.

If the US dollar goes the way of the 1930’s German papiermark; anything that we currently take for granted, that has a decent shelf life; will be of increased value. Aspirin & analgesics in general, toothpaste/brushes, vitamin supplements, especially Vitamin C if the power grid goes. Anything that helps purify/preserve water/food.

Salt will be a big one, sure it seems plentiful now, but when refrigeration goes. . Knowledge, knowledge is going to be more valuable if we slide that far. How to trap, skin, butcher & preserve. How to avoid chimney fires, set a bone, drain an abscess. Dentists and Doctors are & will continue to be good friends to have. Boolits have their uses, but many a well-defended home is a week to a month away from being untenable without reliable water source.

Jerry Pournelle often said that the definition of a real dark age wasn’t that we’d forget how to do a thing; but that we forgot the reasons ‘why’ we did that thing at all. That’s the important knowledge that seems to escape the burn-loot-murder crowd. Rest assured their puppet masters haven’t forgotten it.
