Amen. Thanks Chris
(weeps for thanks)
“HEY! YO! Lemme outta here.”
Translates to “Alive and well, if slightly dented.”
Thank you, CM.
Not to be morbid, but what next?
I have a hundred questions (well, almost, closer to 50), but I deleted them all for now.
Kiko. A widow before she’s even married.
And Zed. I’m sure he’s going to do what he does very very well.
Following the old nursery rhyme, “Bye baby bunting, daddy’s gone a’hunting, to get a little rabbit skin, to wrap his baby bunting in”.
How many “rabbit skins”, and from which side of the border?
Let’s get Kiko home and on the mend, before her father goes on a vengeance trail… family first, guys. She doesn’t even know about Jack yet, or his Mom…Lotta grief to work through.
So true. I suspect she will have a difficult time sorting through all that has happened, but it sounds like she is certainly ‘all there’ and that’s a darn big plus in my book.
Joy, happiness, and relief on the faces of mom and dad. And soon comes the most difficult conversation they have ever had.
The only better response would be, “Hey, where can I get a Whataburger?”
Oh, heck no! Green chili double is the only way to fly.
I LOVE Jalapeno’s on my burger (although some restaurants cheat and use those that have minimum heat. I mean what’s the point) I have 5 different kinds of hot sauce at home.
I don’t shy away from heat myself, but the best jalapeños I ever had were some I discovered in Taos. They were so mild I almost had to ask if they weren’t something else, but the flavor was to die for.
I’ve never come across anything like them again, so I have to assume they were local produce.
I throughly dislike the taste of most chili peppers, I do put curry powder on my hamburgers though
I’ll eat a curry or biryani that glows in the dark then go looking for more and I know curry does have hot peppers in it but the taste is completely different 😉
I LOVE Jalepenos, but prefer mild one. I like LOTS of them. I can take ridiculous heat, but I don’t enjoy it, so why should I?
Make mine a number #2 (double)!
She is well on the mend when that is her first response
Under too much information: There is this thing called a Purewick. You just go. But for men, Ol Nurse Grab and Stab is could be the response.
Where is the ring?
Vengeance comes after Kiko is back on her feet, and the baby delivered. Because Kiko is going to be doing the Vengeance Trail too. I imagine she is going to make like Chington, and go all ‘Nits make Lice’ on MS-13…
Chivington. Tried to find the originator, a Frontiersman from the French and Indian War, but google is fixated on the Civil War today…
Sand Creek massacre was an attack on peaceful Cheyenne & Arapaho village in Colorado during US Civil War. The troops lead by Chivington were even killing little kids, and Chivington has been alleged to have made that statement, either during the killing of later during justification. He was a politician.
Somebody said the other day that Oakland was a safe and secure city now, delivered from the evil grip of BLM etc and into the hands of what MS13?
Regardless, doing away with the popo certainly has its effect doesn’t it? Thug culture now running screaming and crying for protection. Careful what you wish for…
They’ll be getting reinforcements, Alaskans want to send their homeless south to warmer climes in the name of safety and since commiefornia apparently has it all figured out, otherwise they wouldn’t have so many.
No!!!! Keep the homeless in Alaska.
After all, bears gotta eat too.
Nuttin’ better than “fresh quick frozen” for a predator.
And then think of all the money saved by NOT buying plane tickets to the Lower 48.
FOR BEHOLD MY FIELD OF FUCKS, FOR IT IS BARREN AND EMPTY, AND I HAVE NONE TO GIVE.
I’d like to file this under “The Immutable Law of Unintended Consequences”, but anyone with more than one brain cell to rub together could see what would happen when a municipality defunds the local po-po.
Kinda long-time reader, possibly never commented before.
This current development hurts so much!
I’m still waiting for the strip where this all turns out to be a dream sequence, and Jack and Kiko are fine. It’s only comics; nobody really dies. Right? Right?
From the “Why can’t we have that here ?” file…
The Niger minister of finance has be given 48hrs by the military, after a coup overthrow, to explain the country’s missing finances or face execution by firing squad.
Should politicians in the US and elsewhere face the same?
Homeless are an expensive thrill. Previously, CATO (Crazy, Addicted, Tramp, Other). There are better ways to assist the “Other”, who have had a run of bad luck. If the situation changes, the “Tramps” will just move on to a more tolerant location. The Crazy and Addicts may require (expensive) long term care lest they move to “self medication” with street drugs. No one is likely to trust the “authorities” with an institutionalization decision, since political disagreement is typically considered “crazy” or “criminal”. That is how the Soviet system worked.
I don’t know of a decent solution.
Tramp is a misunderstood word. The group you’re referring to are bums. Tramps are willing to work at odd or temp jobs before moving on.
Bums is bums. Or the Brooklyn Dodgers . . . hey, did I just date myself?
Can neither confirm nor deny. Particularly since I recognized the saying.
Minnesota buses the homeless to LA for the winter, and then LA buses them back to MN for the summer
