The latest thing that snuck in under the radar this week was FDA approval of mRNA-based flu vaccine.
Great! Acute transverse myelitis anyone? How about myocarditis?
It’s not just in COVID vaccines any more!
I think I’d rather take my chances with the flu.
I had exactly the same experience. Everybody was freaked in 1976 about the swine flu and herded everybody into the clinics to get the shot. I was so sick, and I never took another flu shot since. I’ve also never had the flu again.

AGREED……Whenever I go to the VA for whatever reason and they ask me if I had/want a flu shot…or any other “immunization” for that matter….say never again as after COVID, I no longer trust “Big Pharma!”
All but 2 of the medical personnel have agreed with me, and those 2 just kinda gave me the ‘stink-eye’ and nothing more.
And speaking of COVID……I NEVER GOT SO MUCH AS THE SNIFFLES all during the entire ‘sham/scamdemic’!!

Same thing in ‘74 – when the Navy got the bright idea to make flushot day on payday, with paychecks at the far end of the shot line. Sick as a dog for two weeks. Haven’t had one since; haven’t had the flu (or much of anything else) since.
Been doing that for years (decades?) now. I used to get the “annual flu shot”. But then I would get just as sick over the weekend that I’d get the shot.
Plus I’d read that the strain that TPTB would select for that year’s shot (from the dozens around the world) was nothing more than a SWAG.
Sooooo….no more flu shots.
The only time that I’ve gotten the flu after that was 2019? 2020? the scamdemic. I know it was the coof because I was functional but felt woozy, and my small and taste was “off” (by 15 degrees).
Anything now that proudly announces itself as “mRNA”, I stay as far away from that as I can.
I’ve taken a few flu shots — not on a regular basis. I took my last one in 2016 since I was on chemo for breast cancer. Didn’t get the flu, but I could say the same in 2020 when I didn’t get a flu shot. My daughter and son-in-law, who lived with us at the time, both brought home the covid virus. Husband and I were both thoroughly exposed and never got sick.
I’ve been watching the push for mrna vaccines ever since with great suspicion and after some consideration I decided I will never have another vaccine of any sort since Big Pharma can’t be trusted not to slip some mrna into them for our own good.

I have never had a flu shot. Tetanus and Hep A/B are about it since my childhood, oh so long ago. Those only because I work in the Water/Wastewater treatment industry. Only the pipes know what nasties come along in that waste stream, and I’m grateful that, even after radiation treatments (high voltage x-ray, non-nuclear) for prostate cancer – get checked, fellas, please – my immune system is reasonably robust. Now, if only my bones and muscle would bounce back as quickly from a variety of accidents, mostly motorcycle related…have yourselves a safe-ish day!
My one and only flu shot was taken on Okinawa when the USAF threatened to put me in jail if I refused. Got the worst case of flu I’ve ever had. After that, I dared the scumbags to act on their threats. It turns out they were just a bunch of hot air!
Medicaid recipients are now being quietly “moved” to Medicare part B. As such, prescriptions that previously were provided free under Medicaid now require cash co-pay.
This was written into the Affordable Care Act when it was passed, but only activated this year. Another of Pelosi’s famous “You have to pass it to find out what’s in it” measures.
The objective is twofold. One, to make healthcare so prohibitively expensive for seniors on fixed incomes so as to put pressure on future administrations to simply throw in the towel and approve the Democrat wet-dream of “Medicare for All”, i.e. government-run medicine which can be used to cull “non-productive” old and sick people from the populace. Eugenics with a smiley face.
Two, let HMOs dip into seniors’ assets they previously could not touch. Even garnishing SSI, SSDI, and etc. to get cash co-pays. They want that sweet, sweet cash money- and so does the Democratic Party, via kickbacks. They need a revenue stream to at least partly replace the grift they lost when USAID went down. This is it.
It goes back to the basic question of government;
Who protects the public from crime when the government are the criminals?
Odd that the year ‘covid’ was created there was an announcement that the flu shot for that year based on the strain predicted was for the wrong one after all and people needed another one…shortly thereafter the foolishness started, never been so glad I skipped the second shot and haven’t had one since. Sometimes I wonder if the shats are designed to build on one another and end up giving you something like ‘covid’ when the time is right..right around 2028 I’d warrant.
Had many ‘mandatory’ flu shots up til early 80s thanks to Uncle Sam. Tried to get excused every year, would finally give in and say, ‘See you in two weeks’, knowing I’d be sick abed for a couple weeks. No shots since and no ‘flu’.
Had the 2016 election gone the other way, and Covid came along in President Clinton’s administration, it would have been a bad flu season, not the Worst Pandemic Ever. Convince me otherwise.
I had covid in the first week of Jan 2020. For me it was like a bit more than a mild case of the flu. Then when they came out with the shots, my thought was no need. Homebrewed immunity.
