They should do that…and then I’m sure they would also “out” all their “sources” re FakeRussianNews, etc…right? No? Well, they better re-think that little threat then.

Much worse is an institution which fights tooth and nail for at least one Constitutional amendment; 1A, as a hide-behind for the unfettered spread of Fake News…would actually try to shut down DT’s Twitter? Irony, thy name is FNN.

Regarding CNN’s blackmail: Do they really expect us to believe they had a conservative Trump supporter, who posted the anti-CNN gif, multiple posts against blacks, Jews, women and other “minorities” but the short hairs, and just because he took everything down, closed the account and won’t ever, ever do it again; they refused to “out” him to keep him safe? WTF?!?! Do you really think we believe that Bravo Sierra? CNN has NEVER shown this level of forgiveness towards anybody unless they had “D” after their names, registered dumbocraps or certified libtard’s.
More than likely the poster is really someone who could damage CNN tremendously if “outed”: An underage (15 year old) individual, who if he or his family was injured, could end up owning CNN after the lawsuit. Come on CNN, do you really think average Americans are that stupi…aww crap, we are talking about CNN aren’t we? Stupid question. Yes they do.
Don’t worry, someone at CNN will leak this information soon. If really a “middle aged” man, sometime next week. If an underaged individual it will be released by anonymous means that hopefully (by CNN) won’t lead back to them.
This isn’t blackmail, it’s CYA at its finest.

I imagine the smoldering boulders at CNN looked at the fact that it was a 15-year old and started slavering. No money, no knowledge of legal recourse to their attack, and went full speed ahead.
Reality only hit them after the storm they started began, and they had to realize that no matter how little he knew their are plenty of others ready to inform him of just how thoroughly those fools had stepped in it.

It seems to not be a minor. (More internet rumoring.)
However, it is terribly fun to see a major leftist organization screaming, “HE’S NOT UNDERAGE!”

(Picture someone being led out in handcuffs, yelling “but she can’t be underage! I saw her driver’s license!” Then put a CNN logo over their face. It will make you smile.)

In my particular riding, the Conservative candidate was almost as moronic as the Liberal, NDP, Marxist-Leninist, Green and Libertarian (we do not have a two party system), so instead of casting my vote, since “none of the above” was not an option available and there is no write-in candidate, I registered my indignation by drawing a large, flaccid penis on my ballot.

      – ” could end up owning CNN after the lawsuit. ” –
I am reminded of another destruction of assets. CNN is destroying its value similarly to the way it destroys news. fake News into Fake Assets. What value eill CNN have besides an insurance payout?
Zimbabwe has discovered after confiscating assets that when they no longer are producing, they have no value. Liquidity plummets. That huge farm or gold mine is not an asset if it is not producing food or gold. Liquidity disappears. The new owner finds that the assets worth millions just a short time ago will not buy them the BMW’s and trips to Switzerland and bling that they expected. The new asset no longer pays for itself, nor even its upkeep.
Such will be CNN. It no longer produces news reports. Fake gold does not have the same value as real gold. So fake news does not have the value of real news. So the real news sites grow. Those are the alternate news sites that produce the real news.
Reality is a harsh bitch as CNN is finding out.

( I wish I had learned how to do those memes with my placing ‘Pepe the Frog’ body slamming CNN and FNN. Being basically a Luddite can be a like having a harsh mistress.)

      • July 6, 2017 at 1:12 pm

Right there with you on the defacto Luddite thing; just got wifey and I new iPhone 7+ phone upgrades at daughter’s insistence, can’t do much with it but make calls, voice-text, and take pics (and it does take awesome pics for online jewelry sales etc).

That’s why I put out the call earlier for more tech-oriented types to deluge the twitter with FNN bubblehead memes; sometimes as you say being stuck in a low-tech mindset is frustrating, but other times it can be quite a good thing.

There is a difference in FNN’s favor on the gold metaphor though…while the yella metal has to stand the acid test or be worthless, fake news has a fungibility among the sheeple who are too feeble-minded or too far gone on the poison kool-ade to question or challenge it…FNN and the other MSM’s have made a living off of that for decades, and kept their leftist cohorts at the controls. But now someone is yanking back the curtain on them to expose what is really pulling the levers of their smoke-and-mirrors machine and proving that there is no “there” there…

They are rightfully terrified that their monopoly on the supply train of information and days of lies and obfuscation are numbered…

Run off the rails to crash and burn by a new train…the T-Train.

And as for FNN’s “doxing” of the person who supposedly created the Trump WWE gif…….FNN may have attempted to blackmail the wrong person. I read this (somewhere – can’t re-find it now) but some astute viewers noted that the Trump posted gif versus the one on the HAS Reddit site were different…….audio vs no audio, different aspect ratios (4:3 vs 16:9).

      • July 6, 2017 at 1:09 pm

Will try to make a small contribution after payday. Things have been tight $-wise lately. I was going to make a comment about the direction of DBD over the past year or so. Most of it I’m happy with (especially this current topic) ;-). But one aspect at times tends to leave a sour taste in my mouth. Best that I just keep it to myself.

      • July 6, 2017 at 1:40 pm

        “Who writes this stuff?”
“Readers, patrons, Muir…not necessarily in that order.”

Trubador, your input on that “one aspect” might be of benefit to the author, and is of piqued interest to others. Please reconsider sharing your input?

      • July 6, 2017 at 2:21 pm

It’s a touchy subject, but… the sometimes blatant lauding and elevating of the current resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue (or the excusing or overlooking of some of the obvious poor judgement, character or decisions) just doesn’t sit well.

Praise when doing things are done right or good decisions are made is one thing. But there are plenty of flaws, mistakes, bad or disjointed decisions, and even outright contradictions or reversals that just doesn’t warrant the genuflection. This isn’t a rehashing of the election. It’s just a request for the removal of the rose-colored glasses.

For every “Gorsuch” there’re a half dozen things said or done or tweeted that betray a real need for real presidential leadership and a constitutional direction for this nation. There’s as much “fake news” at times in a WH tweet as there are a CNN headline. I know I’ll probably get some backlash on this, but I just need to say it.

Trubador, I’m with ya. I mean Trump ain’t perfect, but, as the old saying goes, you go to war with the army you got, not the army you want.

I wish Trump would stay laser focused on his agenda and not get diverted by all the trash from his opponents, but…he just ain’t built that way. He’s from New York and knows how to fight back against the press. And he seems to relish it, which I think surprises and angers them most of all…HE LIKES YANKING THEIR CHAIN….

My liberal “friends” on FB give me a YUGE ration of crap for “defending” him and “standing by” his outrageous tweets.

I just tell ’em no, he ain’t my favorite, but he damn sure ain’t Hillary and that’s enough for me.

What does crack me up is Trump made no bones about his personality, views, or temperament…and he still won. The voters who voted for him should have known exactly what they were getting. They weren’t voting for a guru or preacher…they wanted a President who would consider America first and foremost in all things.

As Ronald Reagan said–The person who agrees with you 80 percent of the time is a friend and an ally – not a 20 percent traitor.

I give Trump an 80% easy…the other 20% ….well, I’ll call that the Twitter allowance.

      • July 6, 2017 at 4:12 pm

Thank you Trubador…thoughtful and well-spoken concerns that I at one time shared…still not sure that what you have said is not true.

But anymore I have come to believe that DT’s actions and behaviors are intentional, diabolically planned and choreographed…and most importantly well and purely intentioned. That he’s not only playing the progs like a fiddle, but that he’s a lot smarter than them…or me.

Prayers to God that is the real news and truth.

Trubador, I agree as well that some of the tweets can be very annoying and embarrassing but I believe that President Trump is making them in a very strategic manner and – as we are seeing – making the Presstitute class freak out almost every day.

Kinda like making people ‘dance’ in the old west….

He wasn’t my 1st-2nd-3rd choice for POTUS but I like a lot of what he has gotten done almost behind the scenes. I will not expect him to be ‘Presidential’ in the classic sense because I knew he wouldn’t be. He’ll make us proud more often than you think and then go back to hammering the opposition in ways they should expect but won’t. They expect him to act ‘Presidential’ now that he’s POTUS but he’ll never stop being ‘The Donald.’

Gotta make more popcorn – the G20 summit should be interesting…..

Hopefully, somehow he hears word of, and knows, how much his efforts (as disjointed as they seem to be) are appreciated by us, his base.

“They (twitters) take next to no effort.”

That, and being forced to expend its energy ($$$) to respond is what REALLY gets to them. Which is why as I mentioned upthread they are campaigning to kick him off (how dare he use THEIR tools against them?). And don’t bet against that; there is precedent for FNN’s leftist cohort Twits doing some decidedly political censorship.

Two things I wish would happen; any and all who are able and like-minded to put that FNN bubblehead on all manner of hilarious and leftist bumblers in a barrage of tweets; let them try to boot them all off. And if they should succeed at all in getting the POTUS access to this deadly weapon restricted? Well, you know what to do then.

Jack, what water bill? The DD is too far out to be on city water. Nope, that’s ice-cold well water… WHOOHOO!

My folks are from east central Nebraska, and we made the trek from Oklahoma every summer to my Mom’s family farm. My uncle had polio as a teen, so the farm had a huge swimming pool so he could exercise. They filled it from the irrigations well and it was like ICE! …even after a month or so. It was the only pool for miles around, so the whole neighborhood would come to swim and hang out.

Uncle George Ferris had arms as big as most men’s thighs, and he ran that farm on crutches with only one hired man to help him, except for his wife and two daughters. He adapted his tractors, pickup truck, and his car with hand controls. Inventiveness runs in the family; we are related to George W. G. Ferris, who invented the Ferris wheel.

I just discovered the Google doodle celebrating George Ferris’ 154th birthday, which is also St. Valentine’s day. Check it out, it’s really cute (click on the heart button): https://www.google.com/doodles/valentines-day-and-george-ferris-154th-birthday
