Army surplus C rats, or garbage cans, like Venezuelans, or 11 ounces a day like Norks?

Don’t forget today is the USPS food drive. And I was somewhat surprised by how many of my “emergency backup” canned and “non-perishable” things have technically expired. I have had food to use up for so long I can’t even give it away now. By worldwide socialist standards I am fabulously wealthy.

I have the same “first world problem”. Last year I threw out a couple hundred pounds of (8? 10? years old) flour that had most likely gone rancid. (My wife used to do a lot of semi-commercial baking, and then she stopped)
I’m rotating through my other food stocks, eating more, replacing less. Including a hundred pounds of rice.
Hopefully I can work on making jelly from the grape juice I squoze five years ago. I
I don’t think it would hurt any of us to miss a meal or two from time to time.
(sigh…….) First world food problems. Q

I break my bulk goods down into usable sizes and vacuum seal it with an O2 absorber, then add a date.

Go down to the border and distribute those cans to the poor people there. Particularly all the military-age males. It’s not quite as accurate as rifle fire, but with a good slingshot you might hit a few.

Hellary’s idea of “three hots in a cot” would be different from mine.
Ohhhhhhh……..you said “three hots AND a cot”. Totally different. My bad.

Not a matter of time running out but of active hatred and obstruction of anything family and religiously oriented; who’da thunk in Texas? The immigration problem there is not just from the southern border but from the west coast.

A while back a lot of “exits” were pondered…Calexit etc., but that’s been on the back burner for a while due to the Deplorable preference cascade and the Trump years, but it still may end up being a viable strategy…Calexit (where the entire state away from the coast is Red country), Texit, and one of my favorites due to its double meaning and because I’m here…”flexit”. And there are numerous other places where the patriot citizens far outnumber the imports and other leftist minions who might join up with the cause. A pretty powerful and productive Confederacy could come from that, based not so much on regionalism but on most of the other principles of the first one (of which slavery was an almost entirely fabricated one btw).

I do hope the self-destruction of the left and the continued awakening and growth of Constitutional Conservatism through at least 2024 makes that unnecessary, but it’s worth pondering and planning ahead for…always have a plan.

What I really like about Calexit is how none of them consider the implications for FEMA funding vis-a-vis forest fire season. It’s as if they can have their cake and eat it too.

Next “self defence” will be “hateful” or “racist” since it threatens the survival of deviant Democrats. If there was no provision for “self defence”, they could still vote from prison, even if they were prosecuted.

Like Pravda…laser like focus on …..OH LOOK ! A SQUIRREL!
And what’s wrong with eating out of cans?
(Pro tips: Crack a vent hole before setting them near the fire.
Plastic/wooden spoons won’t scratch off the interior coating. )

Back in the day, I took surplus C-rations out on Missile Alert. Tasted great, and they were a lot better than Foil Packs. (You gotta be an old Missile Man to remember those!)

Poor Skye. Have pity of some kind on her. Idealism is difficult to give up. Think of the ecohippies and how hard it will be on them to realize that when there is still snow on their sidewalks in June, they will still have to shovel it… and that may not be the only thing they’d have to shovel. Just speculatin’.

It’s been 100 years since the Bolsheviks “won” and kept Russia in a ruined state. It wasn’t until Stalin’s stroke and Krushchev assuming the “thing” that things began to change, and now, they still haven’t climbed out of the pre-industrial era. China is forging ahead while Putin’s Russia languishes and weakens further.

Maybe some day, poor Skye will understand that what she takes for granted requires hard work, not checks from Mommy and bad behavior. Do I sound cranky today? Sorry about that.

Anyway, Happy Mother’s Day to all those parent something, even if it’s not a 2-legger.

      “Think of the ecohippies”

As had been long foreseen, all-electric vehicle users are being asked to foot the bill for the road maintenance that would have been paid for with fuel taxes. Illinois is proposing a $1000. car registration, up from $17.50. Owners who took advantage of $7500 federal incentives and $4000 state incentives to purchase their green virtue signalers are complaining about the unfairness.

I hereby surmise there shall be many new “hybrids” qualifying for normal registration that are all-electric except for a small onboard gasoline generator that could recharge the vehicle in a day or two, with the small tank only needing about 20 refills.
