AfterTwitter CEO Jack Dorsey’s perjury and lying through his teeth performance in front of the Senate today, President Trump needs to end the Section 230 protections for ALL social media platforms. Treat them like publishers and not utilities. Strip them of their legal protections for slander, libel, false advertising, discrimination and censorship.

    • WayneM

My understanding is Big Tech is leveraging Sec 230 protections which are only inferred, not specific… By their censorship & manipulation, they’ve already disqualified themselves from shielding.

The problem is they’re rich & massive enough to afford to buy protection in the form of lawfare. Ergo it’s up to government to push a regulatory solution…

One good which came from all this talk of the Big Tech monopoly is the reminder of how predatory & underhanded Bill Gates was when the government went after Microsoft for their monopoly.

In recent years, Gates pretends philanthropy and his fellow globalists have carefully cultivated this image. I recently watched a video clip of Gates arguing with a Senate subcommittee over the definition of words which would make Dorsey et al look callow.

  • caved1ver01

Sam’s sister is no different than all the idiot, over privileged suburban women-child who have decided upon personality alone that “Orange Man” is bad. Pathetic.

  • Pamela

How about making them go away like they never existed.

  • Swansonic

OT, but I had the thought that if the left is so keen on expanding the Supreme Court why don’t we agree and make it 13 instead of 9. Watch them implode when President Trump gets four more SCOTUS picks…..

    • steveb919

I watched it twice and found it to be not only funny but spot on about democrat’s.

  • Bill G

And this net is forever. Not that access to it will be; the left will curtail that if it can.

  • Bill G is correct. Information and facts are deleterious to the left. It blows away their talking points.

  • Dread

    Peek a boo!

    • WayneM

      Peek-a-boob!! (\)(o)

  • shooter 2.5

You can’t stop the signal, Mal.

    • Oldarmourer

      Unfortunately, they can…
Up here the liebral left gov’t intends to decide what can be posted
Unlike the Supreme Court in the US, our ‘judges’ are appointed…
By the PM directly, no vetting allowed.
iran, china, many other countries all control access to the net
sometimes you can get around it but it isn’t easy in all places
When your isp is owned by the same people who own cnn et al
Your access will be limited…once the FCC is stacked.
Nov 4th is going to bring changes, pray that they’re for the better…

    • MasterDiver

      “We Must Boost the Signal!”

      Zar Belk!

  • Kafiroon

    It is a net.
And they keep getting caught in it.

  • Halley

Seems to me that Twitter and Facebook and Google (not to mention myriad MSM henchmen) just got caught red-handed tampering with a US election. Aren’t there laws about that?

    • John

      Yes, laws aplenty.
But they have to be enforced and the mechanism we have in place to do that is what we call The Swamp, and as they see it, it is in their best interests to _do nothing_ and just collect the benefits.
Doing nothing is in the best interests of the Political Class who oversee The Swamp. This is how the likes of Biden Incorporated gets to collect millions for influence pedaling without fear of being caught.
We have relied on the honor of dishonorable men to get into this fix. Joe Biden should have gone to Leavenworth decades ago.
The alternative is something that is terribly inefficient but seems now to be called for, that is redundant internal investigations done by both independent agencies and the separate branches of government carried out on each other in secret. As things stand the Inspectors General only act on command not on initiative. Only the fear of being fired for incompetence is going to set things right.

      • Oldarmourer

What Trump got wrong, is thinking like a businessman…
He assumed people were appointed for their competency…
He should have followed ‘bama’s example and purged the swamp
        Right down to the acting-assistant-associate-deputy-minister..
See how cnn held up a 20-odd year old nobody as a ‘senior advisor’
Hopefully on the 4th he’ll be touring the facility and taking names
Followed by a long round of “you’re fired” Oval Office visits

        • NotYetInACamp

Everybody in DC, and elsewhere just about, is considered to be on someones loyalty list and expected to follow someone’s agenda.
There still are patriots despite that.
Many suffer the consequences. There are still more of us than the evil ones. Use Biden’s specifically promised open borders and the end will come. Kamala and friends will have all the allies they want to continue their planned consolidation of the fundamental destructive transformation of America. That is something I would, and have, fought against. That must put me on Kamala’s promised hunt and punish list. They will likely take down those that got them in power first. Then continue on to those they think or believe might threaten them.

Check out the link that Halley put up …. It is so truthful and funny in a sad way….

  • DogByte6RER

Here’s a great column about the need of a reckoning for the Left should DJT and the GOP win …

“ … the Left blights everything it touches and inevitably culminates in misery, oppression, violence, and destitution. It should not be tolerated. Freedom is under no obligation to annihilate itself in the name of freedom.”

  • A major problem is that we all are subject to ‘normalcy bias’, to some extent… people will believe that things will continue more or less as they always have – until it doesn’t. A prime example would be the German WW I veterans, with their medals and citations for bravery, thinking “I BLED for the Fatherland, served honorably, the Govt will NEVER turn on me and my family, because we’re Jewish!” Then Hitler was elected in 1934, and “normal” — CHANGED FOREVER… I hope my brothers and sisters here at DBD are prepared, ready, and aware..
Buckle up, folks, we could be in for a bumpy ride.

    • NotYetInACamp

My Great Uncle, awarded with the Iron Cross in World War One found out how they would punish those who spoke against them. He avoided arrest in Germany and returned to the USA with his wife. Then his sister died in prison after Nazis arrested her in Germany after he spoke the truth to a 5000 plus members of the German American Bund at a meeting in Madison Square Garden in NYC. His mother survived and was released after intercession by the German Ambassador to the USA, who he knew and was friendly with. His mother did not survive WW2.
There are costs to the truth and to doing right. There are worst costs to not following the truth and right.

  • JTC

Here in Flarduh we catch and kill giant swamp snakes with our bare hands and get a bounty from the conservative gov.

Should be easy to eradicate the ones caught in the net, but this toxic invasive species is slippery…might need to bang-stick ‘em. And the bounty? Yuge!

    • JTC

Meanwhile, other Flarduh Man types do shit like steal a bulldozer and crush a bunch of Biden signs including one painted on a concrete wall.

Maybe somebody will post the link. Not helpful of course but funny as hell. Winter Haven is less than an hour from me and I was there today for a dr appt. Like here in Sebring it’s conservative there in general apparently including some of the resident nutballs.

      • Punta Gorda

        Other end of Florida.

We have our own contestants. Shortly after the Miami Zombie, we had a guy in the process of being arrested in Santa Rosa county start gnawing on the patrol car.

  • I just had a bad experience on Facebook with a Trump hater. She’s the daughter of a service buddy of mine and he died suddenly a few years back from a heart attack. I would share war stories about her dad and I. I knew she’s a lefty and did not post to her political threads. A few weeks back, she attacked me on my FB timeline on one of my posts that was political. She accused Trump of being a Nazi and that anybody supporting and voting for Trump is a Nazi supporter! She was totally unhinged and there was no reasoning with her! She’s no longer my friend and I blocked her as she was DMing me with the same garbage. This was an example on how harboring intense hatred will drive people to go off totally unhinged/crazy on others simply for having a different political view of things. The left owns this!

    • WayneM

The Left don’t believe in property rights so they “own” nothing. They spend all their time & energy trying to avoid owning consequences of their irrational thinking. When Government is God, all is forgiven freely.

Thank you for your service and I’m sorry your service buddy’s daughter turned into a monster.

      • NotYetInACamp

People identify and steal accumulated capital and value that others have worked for, or created, They are called thieves. Democrats, Marxists, and others are subsets of those thieves.

  • Thanks Wayne! Yeah, it was disturbing that she went off on me like that after all that I did in sharing with her about her father! I’m not sure what her motivation was to go off on my like this except to shame me into not voting for Trump and that’s NOT happening. I live in Colorado and dropped my ballot into a ballot box and it was confirmed “accepted” by text message and email to me and my vote is for Trump/Pence and Cory Gardner for Senator!

    • WayneM

The motivation on social media is almost always virtue signalling… showing their fellow leftists that they are very stunning & brave (aka stunned & brainless) by attacking anyone who dares disagree with the ever-changing goalposts of their progressive ideology.

My Texan wife and I are currently in Canada, getting ready for the long drive back to Texas so she can vote for Trump…

    • Oldarmourer

Or it was when you dropped it into the box….
It’s not who votes, it’s who counts the votes…
Or rejects the ones they don’t like…
‘X’ too big, ‘X’ too small, ‘X’ in the wrong box…..

  • Halley

I’ve just detected a 33.1% growth in Desperate Democrat Derangement…

    • Charlie Foxtrot

Will Murphy put them in the Nursing Homes?

    • cb

      Pam – aka antifa reinforcements

  • Charlie Foxtrot

Wonder what the Deep State would do on Nov 4th if Trump wins?

Their backs would be against the wall, and you know what they say about cornered rats…

  • Punta Gorda

Loose the romper Skye… loose the romper.

  • John M.

Is that a romper? the top and bottom look like different colors to me – blouse and shorts maybe? The “nip-slip” is adorable! (or is that “inevitable”)

    • Chris Muir

      Probably inevitable…I got this condition…

      • NotYetInACamp

Great condition. It seems that many here applaud your affliction.

  • NotYetInACamp

The ease of the net being rewritten is offset by the signal often being forever.
And once an idea is spread, it cannot be permanently ended.
Like so many oppressors who desire to limit the information others have access to for thinking, the net can only limit information temporarily. Censorship of the net can extend tyranny and make it more difficult and costly to uproot that tyranny.
Then we have people who don’t complain so long as they get what they want. They are unconcerned about injustice and bullying, so long as it happens to others.
And half the people are below normal intelligence or emotional intelligence.
But that last comment, though on the face of it true, is what will be automatically attacked because whatever. As Rosanadana Dana always said. “It’s always something.”
