Day By Day

  • Grunt GI

Yea. There’s no such thing as a liberal Democrat anymore.

They’re all “progressives” which just means they’re too cowardly to just call themselves “Marxists” which is what they really are.

Or anarchists. There’s lots of those too.

Soooo. Chris. Ready to launch Holy Terra?

    • Chris Muir

Actually, Tera’s delayed to Jan 1st. I developed an all new drawing style and I’m drawing up all the characters.

      • Grunt GI

Like the placeholder on the new website or something else?

        • Chris Muir

          Similar, but better.

          • Grunt GI

            Looking forward to it!

          • Oldarmourer

A style with a bit less green, maybe ?

          • Wulfenite

I like the drawing style you have now. That sample was like a step back toward the old style. Yes, it will be easier to draw, but the at the cost of your current style, too much will be lost. The realism of most of your current work gives it life. A cartoon does not need to be cartoonish. Please don’t change.

        • Dastardly Dan

Can I get a link to this new website?

      • Old Codger

Waiting with bated breath. Something good to look forward to for next year which, if the Dims have their way next Tuesday, may not have all that much TO look forward to.

DemonKKKRats – turning good things to shite for everyone.

        • MasterDiver

          Looks DAMN good!

          Zar Belk!

    • Punta Gorda

“Yea. There’s no such thing as a liberal Democrat anymore.”

      But liberally democrat?

    • pyrodice

There are no anarchists in a government-worshipping cult.

  • Liberals, there are a few…. just not in DC. The REAL endangered species is the moderate Democrat, which only exists in the rural hinterlands, in tiny flocks – and they are nearly extinct…

  • DogByte6RER

Remember when liberals would say … “I don’t agree with you, but I defend your right to free speech.”

They don’t say that anymore. Now they tend to say “Shut up and pay your taxes” while doxing dissenters, engaging in cancel culture, ruining people’s lives, causing job loss and forcing people into hiding. Oh … and of course, there is also the looting, the rioting, the arson, the violence, and the terrorism.

More recently I read someone saying in effect … “Inside of each and every liberal is a totalitarian just screaming to get out.”

Skye should be a museum exhibit … the Last American Liberal.

    • Old Codger

True liberals STILL say that. Today’s so-called liberals are the most ILliberal folks around. It’s progressives who are closet (and not all that far IN the closet at that) totalitarians. For one thing they feel (they seldom ever THINK) they know better how we ought to be living our lives than WE do ourselves. For another thing they perceive all the ills of the modern world stem from an over abundance of liberty and feel called by the God in which they no longer believe to correct that. In short they are zealots. Zealots cannot be reasoned with. Nor can they simply be endured – at least not for very long. Ultimately they must, as Jefferson put it, provide fertilizer for the tree of liberty.

  • JavaMan

Hubert Humphrey would have been to the right of some of the Repubs these days.

    And that’s saying something.

    • Lucius Severus Pertinax

Grover Cleveland would have been to the Right of ALL of them!

    • Old Codger

I suspect that part of the reason he lost was because nobody could stand the thought of his bland smiling face beaming down at them from the walls of Post Offices and Federal Buildings across the republic.

      • John D. Egbert

True. The quintessential nebbish in appearance. However, I vividly remember experiencing his address to the Jaycees National Convention at Cobo Hall, Detroit, in 1977 (IIRC). Reminded me of nothing less than film of a speech by a certain Fuhrer in the Reichstag in 1935 (both in presentation and content). Draw your own conclusions . . .

  • PaulS

    America TRUMPS the world!
Get used to it you friggin treasonous bastages, you’re next!

  • steveb919

Dems used to be liberal but now they are insane communist.

    • Old Codger

Not sure they ever were – at least in the classical (think Jefferson) sense. I KNOW they haven’t been since at least Wilson. Nope. They are rightly referred to as “progressives”. Progressives are defined by two qualities. 1) They revere (worship almost) change (remember O’Bozo’s bywords – “hope” and “change”?) and 2) they consider any/all change to be “progress”. Add to that their core belief that all the ills of the modern world stem from an overabundance of liberty and you have the makings of a really nasty place to live.

  • Halley

Firsthand experience – the “liberals” who’ve remained in the Democrat voter base throughout the Trump presidency and especially 2020 are rabid, 110% unreachable, and so cross-wired in their brains that it’s only a matter of time (days?) before the fuses totally blow. The “liberals” who’ve let themselves listen to whatever conscience they’ve had left, they’ve been silently moving away and are now either 2020’s version of Reagan Democrats or are all-out Team MAGA. I’ve seen both kinds (mostly the former), but the drainage of “decent liberals” from the now Certifiably Insane Evil Democrat Organized Crime Syndicate will be big, and decisive on Tuesday.

  • My Way Or --->

The screaming ‘look at me/I hate you for being you’ “liberals aren’t liberals. They are spoiled brats whose mommies told them “use your best judgment” on everything and the result, when you say that to a 3-YO kid is a spoiled brat. Some of the videos of these people (I use that term loosely, I really think they are space aliens) like to scream bloody murder about ANYTHING in their cars, which – as you may know – can cause really, really bad accidents…..

They want everything handed to them without having to work for it. They know nothing but think they know everything. They have less maturity than a frozen popsicle.

    • John

I can’t wait for Joe Biden to cite this as fact in a speech.
Although he may add about three zeros again.

    • NotYetInACamp

They identify as Americans, and Bill Ayers and the Democrats feel that it would be voter suppression worse than rejecting your dear dead Fido leDog’s absentee ballot. Rejecting all of those people outside our border who yearn to breath free and to get all of our stuff for free just because they are not citizens and because they are not subject to the jurisdiction of the USA is as bad as demanding Borders, Trump, and a USA like that rag vellum with ancient words on it demands. Even Obama said the US Constitution was an old rag not relevant in today’s society. It is so progressive to give every entitled foreigner, which is every foreigner, the vote in the USA. That is so diverse and inclusive. . Hope and Change and fundamental transportation continues. Ayers and the SDS (Now called Geezers for a Democratic Society or GDS) can filter out the bad ones later in the usual manner of French style Jacobean Revolutions. See the Bee for the latest news like it’s seen nowhere else.

  • Jerry Heyman

When “liberal” became a dirty word – think after Dukakis, and the 1990s, Dems tried to hide their liberalness by the word progressive. Ronald Reagan’s quote still holds true – “I didn’t leave the Democratic Party, they *left* me!”

  • PaulS

    Happy Birthday Chris. 🙂

  • Michael A Crawford

There is certainly a crowd of them – they had to come from somewhere that taught them how and what to think – maybe a school system taken over by Socialist principles? Needs to be brought back to a reasonable form of education!

  • Old Codger

Been reading Section 4 of the 25th Amendment trying to mentally prepare myself for what may be the outcome of next Tuesday. Given that Roberts and the others have given the Dims an extra week (okay, 3 days for the mail-ballots to be fabricated, “mailed”, received and stamped received plus time to actually hand-count those ballots) but postmarks and receipt stamps would be trivial to fake and I figure it’ll take AT LEAST a week before the real results are known. What I am convinced of is that the DemonKKKRats will pull out every stop; leave no dirty trick unplayed and leave no chat hanging to win – by hook AND by crook – next week.

Anyhow, I can visualize it now. Some time in March Pelosi, backed by Schumer and the rest of the usual suspects including Grassley (President Pro-Tem of the Senate) steps up to the microphone – on a live cut-in on all networks – to inform us that it is “with a heavy heart” she must inform us that, “persuant to Amendment 25 Section 4, the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive department have transmitted to myself and the President Pro Tempore of the Senate, Mr Grassley a declaration that our beloved President, Joe Biden (although she may use his full, legal name) is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office and accordingly, the Vice President will immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President. With us today is the Honorable John G. Roberts, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court to administer to Vice-President Harris the oath of office.”

    Whatcha think? Am I close?

Oh, and, Happy Birthday Mr. Muir and many more plus many happy returns of the day!

  • Charlie Foxtrot

Still think we conservatives missed an opportunity by not differentiating between the classical liberals and the progressives that have taken over the Democrat party. We had an opportunity to drive a wedge between those dissimilar groups, and perhaps encourage the Liberals to make common cause with the small-L libertarian conservatives, by pointing out they were much closer to the Liberal beliefs than the Progressives.

Perhaps that’s too nuanced an argument in these times of sound-bite hate.

Happy Birthday, Chris! See you at the Indian River County Public Shooting Range?

    • Halley

I think the fatal mistake has been the Right’s absolute refusal to call out the evil Marxist roots of the Democrat party (since at least FDR). The Right refuses because so very many GOPers buy into the ”helping people” socialist schemes of the Left. Complicity blocks clarity. If PDT can fix this, he will have saved the world.

  • Blasternaz

Congratulations on another successful trip around the local solar prominence! Many more, Sir, many, productive (I enjoy your ”work”) more years!

  • JTC

Another B-Day? Ugh. But good wishes.

OC up there had some good and perceptive things to say. Yes many of today’s I’s like me are yesterday’s D’s after their Saul moment brought about by Reagan.

Seeing the truth about both D’s and R’s I can’t call myself either, but I do call myself a Deplorable and supporter of our CEO Trump. Can’t call myself a Trumper I guess as that is just too transient regardless of this election outcome. So what I wrote on the “about” page of the Okd Dead Blog is call myself a fulltime “Independent Constitutionalist libertarian Pragmatist“…I’m a defacto registered ICLP searching for a party.

And I do think and have said here many times that many like Skye who have clung to the old Democrat ideals have come to realize the lies and that their party is now the defacto socialist party which uses the guise of concern and advocacy for their constituency to feather their own nest and buy their continuing residency in it.

Come on down you last-minute ICLP’s…since there is no part per se for us yet, we need you to be (truly not as a signaler of virtue) woke to the truth and to hold your nose and vote R to prevent the continuation and completion of the destruction at the hands of the Dims/Communists of what you and me and our daddy’s and granddaddy’s love the most; family, freedom, and our American Republic.

  • David

    Isn’t Jan still a liberal?

  • Pamela

    Just Voted In Person!

    • PaulS

      You go, girl!
Anything interesting to report about attendance?

      • Pamela

People were ready to vote. The Drop off Ballots were collected by a Poll Worker and were being delivered to wherever the count was to take place with a guard.

        • JTC

“The drop-off ballots were collected by a poll worker and were being delivered to wherever…”

No drop-offs for me, I’ll stand in line, make my marks, and feed it in myself…still not guaranteed fiddle-free but as close as I can get.

Yeah I’m paranoid…I might be in a solid red place now, but I’m originally from South Fla., and have seen shit that will turn you (and the state) blue.

    • JTC

They don’t follow the crumbs far enough…

It ain’t the camel they want,
      It’s the chimp.

      • NotYetInACamp

This male chimp is already on their side.

Hm? Do you mean that other one?

Kamalarxixt. Will she survive getting in by the 25? Good for the gander and all of that.

        Gentle Uncle Joe Stalin, oops,Biden.
This is so serious that I can’t even joke about all of their characters.
I mean former PresidentActual Valerie Jarrett du Iranis is still camped several miles away from her former white house in The Choom Bunker of the Obamas Choom House. Mike’s there, also.
        They are all dangerous.

They are all scary horrors and fright shows.

        • JTC

There are many worker chimps. But we are speaking here about the chimp queen and it’s dark entourage to include the drone, the veejay, and the entire FBI.

Biden is a tool to steal the election, Camel-a is a tool to assume his seat vacated immediately by the 25th or otherwise and to then without any vetting or discussion or hearings unilaterally appoint her successor for 2024 if not sooner.

And the takeover will be complete.

    • NotYetInACamp

Are these actual ballots that can be mailed in by a legitimate voter?

This appears to be a step beyond the “palm cards” containing all of the suggested votes for candidates that have been given out at polling places for centuries(s). If they are ballots that can be sent in as they are, or as the replacement for the insert in an absentee ballot already sent them, then this is a quantum increase in what has been done previously, and may be an election law violation.

I recall the story of the then Miami Dade County Democratic Party Chairman being chased across the ground floor of the Miami Dade County Building, a high rise, by a group of Carpetbagger Republicans attempting to poach one of my Democrats because they had seen his show someone a sample pack of dummy practice punch card ballots while the Dem Chairman was explaining how they worked. Dam carpetbaggers. They were poaching on my Democrats.
I happened to understand the Florida ballot system at the time and I was aware of its weaknesses and it accuracy and inherent weaknesses and inaccuracies. I said what I knew. Any more ballot recounts would not result in a fair er or more accurate count of the vote due to the fact that the system itself, made up of various voting machine types and especially how the accuracy of punch cards decreased every time they were run through the machines. I told the Republican Party Chairman and she told others and I explained it to them. That may have been the logic used, but I have been mistaken before. No recount of any kind would have produced a count that was more fair than the flawed count that existed.
Both the Republican Party Chair and the Democrat Party Chair were friends of mine. The Republican Party Chair asked me to do things for her occasionally. But those are different stories. My election BS stories were legion at one time. Some of my suggestions were followed, but not all. There are many areas for voter fraud and vote fraud that still exist. A close eye on the actual ballots and how they are transported and recounted must be maintained. That includes the computer systems and actual memory devices that are used.
We have a better system, but I am still worried. I don’t even know who are the respective County Party Chairs these days.
I had to make a meager living so I couldn’t be there all the time. My decades of life in the political and voting trenches gave me great knowledge 0f how the actual system worked, both people and machines. My basic high measured intelligence and a degree from a major university and a doctorate level from a different university, plus running and rebuilding a business, and my large civic and church activities gave me the ability to understand what I had seen and experienced. Now I am out of the loops, except mostly what I gain on the net. The now censored net.
I am worried, but I have hope for a good fair election and tabulation of votes. I will have to look at what news comes out afterward. i can add no more input now. I hope people are watching that are responsible and that can have the legal authority to act.
I have mostly been a grey man in recent years. I hope that I do not feel a need to say anything because enough went right. We the people need a good and fair election. The country needs it.
