Shit stirrer is right. She’s on the road but she ain’t there yet. Never ever patronize a place where you and your rights are not welcome, and never EVER carry or especially OC just to stir some shit.

She’ll get the gremlins out eventually, you too Chris.

Given that it is Texas, the local Starbucks is probably embarassed by corporate policy, and would prefer to not follow it.

      • June 6, 2017 at 12:49 am

Actually, some particular imbeciles of the group OC Texas did serious harm to the progress and perception of legal carry a few years back doing just the stupid dangerous shit-stirring Skye advocates as a fun activity, don’t remember exactly but I think they got their silly asses reined in before crippling damage was done.

Also, not sure about the SB local to DBD but TX is flat infested with bastions of radical leftism as much or more than most places, fortunately it’s big enough to stay far away from them.

But in any case it’s SB corporate that made that policy (partly in response to idiots like I mentioned above IIRC), and it’s corporate that gets your cash ($4 for a cup of burnt coffee?) Fuck that and fuck them.

Texas is an openly admitted target by the left to turn from the republican column in the presidential races by any means necessary. there has been a campaign to have people emigrate to Texas to conquer it (A leftist hijrah.) That has included USA citizen Americans and other Americans who become not legally present military colonists in the USA. Invaders. That the vote can be close in some matters shows how their long term lans have been showing some success. Austin texas is a jewel in the leftist globalist crown of long term planned cities that have been conquered by the globalists.
I have stirred much of that stuff, but only when necessary for a valuable victory.
OK! I admit that I dabble sometime in impromptu stirring when the opportunity presents itself. As a 16 year old showing the weasel Bill Ayers to be evil was an early fun one.
Progressives, and evil ones best of all, are just too easy as tempting targets of opportunity.

So you knew BA at 16 and let him grow up? So it’s your fault. 😉

The evil weasel (my reaction at the time) BA showed up at my university and I saw a flyer that the SDS was meeting at Room xxx in the Engineering Building. I went to the meeting four hours after seeing the flyer. I had never seen him before in my life and his name was not on the flyer. He made his argument for the need for violence as the only way to change America. When other’s opinions were asked, I rose and then destroyed his arguments. My statement that slowly but surely using truth to change the knowledge of the people and thus the nation was the best and strongest way to build our nation from where it was. I used a non violence argument using Gandhi and his strong movement that was built. Unfortunately, even though many of his comrades were killed by their own bombs they were preparing for an Army NCO dance, BA was not there, nor his wife Dorne. BA was never convicted as the FBI had abused BA’s right in the investigation, a court ruled. BA did listen, I believe. When BA reappeared as a retired pensioned college professor weighing in on the Black Lives Matter Group at a “protest” in Chicago, his little speech contained too many of the elements of my little speech to make me comfortable. BA and the progressives took much of that slow tack and added the teaching of lies and hate. they used the methods that Gruber made famous when lecturing at a univerity about how they easily fooled the dumb Democrat voters. By any means necessary is still their method.
As to fault, I may bear some for letting loose iodeas that he seems to have later adopted in a liar sort of way. As to offing the weasel at the age of 16 and college freshman, that would not have been cricket, nor proper, at the time considering my non violence arguments that had won the day. I had controlled an overwhelming desire to simply go up and strike him for the treason that he had espoused. I held it and put the energy into the arguments.
Besides, I was a 16 year old kid in a large filled classroom with many large people. I was also 4 inches shorter and 40 pounds below my later optimum weight (that I only wish for now). I did not at that time have all of the facts that later became known about BA. It was not apparent at that time that there would be such a fault considered possible.
I may have made up for it in my actions taken before and during this recent election cycle. My experience says that I did do some spectacular things as an individual acting on my beliefs, knowledge and interpretation. I may have more than made up for that possible transgression you posit. I believe that I did.

And that’s how you rouse some rabble and stir some shit, with knowledge, reason, and in-your-face debate and rhetoric.

Not by engaging in activity that does the anti’s job for them, reinforcing their claim that gun rights advocates are wild eyed wackjobs endanger the innocent people around them in public places.

The people open carrying rifles a while back in Texas were protesting the repressive CCW laws there. Texas isn’t as gun friendly as the press likes to protray the state. Open Carry of a handgun was totally illegal and even with a “permission slip” you could be arrested if a trained observer could detect your concealed weapon. have you ever been in south or central Texas? In August?

Actually Texas has Open Carry since Jan 1 2016.

      • June 6, 2017 at 10:57 am

Front-strapped AK’s carried by some that look they would be more at home at an antifa rally? Yeah, scare the fuck out of the blue people, that’ll help your cause. Not that they cared, some stated the whole exercise was just for fun and to stir some shit just as Skye misguidedly desired…responding to Mothers Demand Action (Bloomberg in drag) stupidity with worse stupidity.

        From an article in 2014:

“It would be an understatement to say that the tactics of gun rights activists have been backfiring of late. The showdown has taken place foremost in Texas, where in recent months groups such as Open Carry Texas have conducted provocative demonstrations in which armed men exercise their right under state law to carry semi-automatic rifles in public. No fewer than five national food and beverage chains have now told them to get rid of their guns or get lost, including Starbucks, Wendy’s, Applebees, Jack in the Box, and Chipotle. And now Chili’s Grill & Bar and Sonic have effectively joined the list.”

        But then:

“Open Carry Texas and other gun groups, whose common goal is legalizing the open carrying of handguns in their state, evidently have concluded that none of this is helping their cause. On Friday, four of the groups released a joint statement asking supporters to retreat from such tactics. “We have decided the prudent path, to further our goals, is to immediately cease taking long guns into corporate businesses unless invited,” the statement said.
For open carrying going forward, their new “unified protocol and general policy” advises supporters to avoid corporate businesses altogether, and not to post pictures if they do get permission and decide to go in. “If at all possible,” it says, “keep to local small businesses that are 2A friendly.”

Adult reason and behavior prevailed, look where we are now…CHL (concealed handgun license) was replaced in 2016 with LTC (license to carry) allowing legal concealed or open carry, and last I heard Constitutional Carry is on track for 2017. Want to go backward instead? Go ahead and flaunt your gun by flouting the policy of regressive corporate locations…or do as advised above; patronize and support the businesses and people that support you and your rights.

        Maj Arkay

Law has been changed. Open carry is legal, if one has a concealed carry license. That’s completely stupid, since those who want to carry concealed don’t need to be identified by open carrying, but at least it’s a step forward. If someone sees a concealed weapon, it’s not a crime anymore.

      • June 6, 2017 at 5:17 pm

Gregory, yes as outlined and timelined previously. But not because of the retarded (term used advisedly) behavior of the referenced “activists” but because cooler adult heads within OTC employing logic and reason prevailed.

Maj Arkay, it is no longer a concealed carry permit (CHL) but a license to carry (LTC) open or concealed. And yes that makes more sense, although OC usually doesn’t in most contexts. Just because something is legal doesn’t mean it is always advisable.

And with the spread of Constitutional Carry (15 states and counting) a gov LTC (permission slip) too will become anachronistic, as it should for free Americans that haven’t otherwise disqualified themselves. That bears some scrutiny though as long guns are often excluded from ConCarry by jurisdiction; we have to be careful that what we wish for is what we get and not some “tweaked” version of it.

And of course no matter the rights of any person or the laws of any state, the possession and employment of the means of deadly defense is always subject to the laws of personal responsibility, common sense, and human morality.

I don’t know. One of the ones here in San Antonio dropped a dime on a guy sitting out front with a rifle slung over his back. I can’t say for certain (having never set foot inside a Starbucks and having no desire whatsoever to do so) but I suspect that the folks who work at Starbucks are pretty much down with corporate’s policy vis a vis firearms. BTW, the cop who responded arrested the poor guy and he spent a night in jail before the charges were dropped and he was released. I’m not sure if he ever got the rifle back. Guns have been known to disappear from impound. I had a little brush with a FLEA and it took months to get my FNAR back and even then both of the nice flip-up lense caps on my scope were busted. I was aggravated but was mostly happy to get the rifle back. Had a shitload of money sunk in that thing.

Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen of the Allied Expeditionary Force!

You are about to embark upon the Great Crusade, toward which we have
striven these many months. The eyes of the world are upon you. The
hopes and prayers of liberty-loving people everywhere march with you.
In company with our brave Allies and brothers-in-arms on
other Fronts, you will bring about the destruction of the German war
machine, the elimination of Nazi tyranny over the oppressed peoples of
Europe, and security for ourselves in a free world.

Your task will not be an easy one. Your enemy is well trained, well
equipped and battle hardened. He will fight savagely.

But this is the year 1944! Much has happened since the Nazi triumphs of
1940-41. The United Nations have inflicted upon the Germans great defeats,
in open battle, man-to-man. Our air offensive has seriously reduced their
strength in the air and their capacity to wage war on the ground. Our Home
Fronts have given us an overwhelming superiority in weapons and munitions
of war, and placed at our disposal great reserves of trained fighting men.
The tide has turned! The free men of the world are marching together to
    Victory!

I have full confidence in your courage and devotion to duty and skill in
battle. We will accept nothing less than full Victory!

Good luck! And let us beseech the blessing of Almighty God upon this great
    and noble undertaking.

      Uncle Ronnie said it best….

“The men of Normandy had faith that what they were doing was right, faith that they fought for all humanity, faith that a just God would grant them mercy on this beachhead or on the next. It was the deep knowledge — and pray God we have not lost it — that there is a profound, moral difference between the use of force for liberation and the use of force for conquest. You were here to liberate, not to conquer, and so you and those others did not doubt your cause. And you were right not to doubt.”

Fraudulent? Yes. Illegal? The Media has a wide option to lie in the news, especially regarding political news.
That anyone would ever believe anything CNN puts forth is due to a problem of the viewer.

Remember the Gulf War where CNN’s rich heir/heiress CIA supported newscaster was not where he claimed to be. His nose dissapeared due to the green screen problem they had, all during a live CNN telecast supposedly from the war zone, but really from a CNN studio.

    “Starbucks can’t refuse us.” Unfortunately.

No, I’m 100% in favor of a) open carry & b) concealed carry; & 100% opposed to *any* form of gun registration _unless_ military grade (.i.e., M16A1 (*fully* automatic), M203, etc.).

I’m for all that because **private property rights** are inviolate individual rights. And that applies to businesses. Just because one *invites* in the public does not make a business public property (common carrier, etc.) *in any fashion.*

Thus the right to refuse service, to limited firearms, etc., are also inviolate.

Capitalism is a social system in which all property is privately owned and property rights, including individual rights, are inviolate.

A somber day for rememberance of those who saved the world from a much worse future than the one we’re dealing withn right now.

I spent some time on Sunday visiting my great-uncle who served during WW2. He’s now in hospice care after serving his community from the war until less than ten years ago.

Then attended the visitation for my godfather who served aboard the USS Coral Sea and also helped out a lot in his community. What a large turnout in such a small community for his visitation. Brought back memories of my father’s funeral where the church was packed to overflowing. My brothers and I were somewhat stunned to see just how much of an impact our father had made just by showing up and helping people.

Now I try to do the same by helping other people out and trying to pass these lessons on to my kids. It’s how the future will be won, I believe.
