Oh dear. I take it there is no place to conceal carry unless it’s flesh…

    • epilitimus

If they are showing enough they could strap on a bazooka and no guy would notice. Of course since it is Texas and it is a BBQ joint I can think of several uniform options which would accommodate both maximum skin and being fully armed. A drop leg holster can be quite fetching under the right circumstances.

    • H_B

I don’t think it’s an issue. In that environment, have someone mistreat one of the girls and they would be instantly incapacitated (to whatever degree warranted) from a dozen different directions of outrage at once.

Think of it as “off-body carry”.

  • Grunt GI

    ๐Ÿ™‚

Love where this is going…..of course my imagination really only has one destination….

    • H_B

I still hold out hope for open-shelf…

Micro-Daisy Dukes and low-cut knotted halter-shirt tops? (RRRooowwww)

      Zar Belk!

  • JTC

When I named this joint, the DD in DDQ was a double meaning with exactly this prospective uniforming in mind. We call that “marketing”. And “fun”. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Grunt GI

ANNNDDD, we thank you sir…hopefully we will have visual sighting of those prospective uniforms…

      • JTC

How ’bout this, Grunt…today Chris asked me to make my patron suggestion for a ‘toon topic. So I (rather boldly and presumptuously) asked for JTC to be an honorary invitee at the DDQ “unveiling” ifyaknowwhatimeanandIthinkyoudo. He probably won’t because who would want my ugly mug amongst such beauty, but one can have a virtual dream, can’t one? And if so I’ll tell you how all that DBD T&A looks upcloseandpersonal…just remember, avatar JTC, look but don’t touch. ๐Ÿ˜‰

        • That would be an awesome ‘toon… ๐Ÿ™‚
          or
you could just ask the DBD ladies to give us a fashion show of their new outfits…you know like one of those Vickie’s Secret’s runway shows!

BTW…love your blogpost title…HEALTHCARE.GOV, the post office of the medical field…
          ๐Ÿ™‚

          • JTC

Thank you Sir. That old blog has been mostly dormant for these last seven-plus years. A combination of needing to go back active in biz, and despondency over what has happened in the world since then, I guess.

And I like your idea of an alternative ‘toon topic, if I can’t be there, how about a runway show, DBD style? You listenin’ Chris?

        Macker & eon,
Thanks to Google translate I know what your offerings say. Seems a tad “subdued” to me.

    • janejs

Why do you keep showing off you language skills and not translating for the rest of us? It’s getting old, frankly.

      • Tom Z

        Google translate will handle it.

      • JTC

Ease up on our resident brainiac, jane. I for one rather enjoy his sometimes obsure, often historical, and always interesting references and comments.

  • B Woodman

No, no, no. Sam is nothing like Angela Merkel. First of all, Sam is MUCH better looking, and was not raised in Communist East Germany.
Second, Sam is giving the citizens of Texas something they truly want — good, sweet, rich, tasty, succulent BBQ.
Unlike Merkel, who is giving the Deutch serfs just the opposite — nasty, smelly, poverty, ignorant, halal Quoranderthals.

    • WayneM

Also Sam had children… and Sam believe in freedom…

    • NotYetInACamp

Power and control may be wielded for good or evil.

I think O B Don may succeed in helping us. The force for good is strong with him and Sam.

Meanwhile Angela Merkel is at the wheel of the ship of state driving it hard upon highly visible rocks while the EU chorus sings of her greatness and of the greatness of the people she brings to exterminate the people of Europe. They speak of how there are no rocks in front of the ship, only open sea, and how all who see rocks are delusional and must be arrested for their own protection and the protection of the state. Such is how fools die horribly.
using the car motif, Angela Merkel is driving off a highly visible cliff while telling the screaming passengers that they are driving onto a bridge.

    • PaulS

Glad you added “BBQ” at the end there, my mind was headed in another direction. ๐Ÿ˜‰

      • B Woodman

Glad you were able to steer your mind away from the rocky shoals of self destruction.

More exactly, both share the default progressive hatred of Western Civilization and will do anything to destroy it. Merkel in the belief that she is creating a Post-Modern Utopia of Mystical Peace and Understanding, and Hillary because she dreams of being the Queen of Hearts from Through the Looking Glass, and What Alice Found There.

If Hillary had her way, every NRA member, registered Republican, nuclear-power engineer, and poster here would be labeled “Public Enemy Number One” and subject to summary execution. Ditto the entire state of Israel.

Merkel, by comparison, is a minor player. She just suffers from a delusion-based inability to see the reality right in front of her nose. She also believes that Germany’s sins of 1933-45 can be expiated by its self-immolation today. A not-uncommon attitude on the German left, from the 1960s to the present. (Look up the Baader-Meinhof Gang, sometime.)

BTW, the German left, especially the Greens, are opposing The One’s trade treaty. Because there’s a provision in it (which The One opposed) restricting the government’s ability to take private property by eminent domain, and they don’t want private property to exist, period.

Merkel has been conspicuously silent on this subject. I’m guessing Hillary sides with The One, and thus the German Greens, on this issue.

Merkel is the lead lemming. We’ll see how many follow her over the cliff. So many are lined up behind her now, rushing to oblivion, that any attempt to stop short might just result in gridlock and internecine war. So much damage has already been done, so much “other” culture has infused, that it might be too late; the entire continent could collapse.

No, Merkel is not a minor player. She is and is leading a microcosm of what we are about 90% certain to do to ourselves under the rule of the crazed Hillzabitch. All of the Eurozone being essentially conquered and eaten from the inside by the parasite that has infiltrated and is being voluntarily fatted by the likes of her bodes very poorly for us, and all of Western civilization is at risk.

The only thing between us and that is the 350 million firearms in private hands. And what has the bitch said will be her very. first. priority? Or maybe a semi-sane presidential hopeful what at least says he will not let it happen.

          • B Woodman

Baader-Meinhof Gang. Now THAT brings up interesting memories. I was stationed in Germany at the time they were running around blowing up stuff, shooting, kidnapping, and ransoming. Yes, interesting times there, indeed.

Well, ah dunno about their Gummints, but the PEOPLE of Europe may rediscover how fast
They can go from 0 to Jack-boot again, when pushed hard enough…..

    • NotYetInACamp

It is not Jack-boots (even if they are wearing them. Yo mama wears jack boots) when they are used against a hijrah conquering invasion force. That invasion method has been used to conquer over half of Sharia law ruled territory during the history of that war force. That is a social justice (their SJ) conquering force that requires social justice against it. Individuals can hide or not even be part of the killers, yet, they are part of the whole which sustains the killing of all not Islam. They see themselves as all part of the umwah (?), the body of Islam.
The people of Europe are shifting political strength so that opposition will happen. Austria now had the pro Austria party take the largest vote percentage in the presidential race. The two ruling parties since 1945 do not even make the presidential runoffs. So it continues.
0 to full on self defense applied harshly against a very harsh enemy.

      • H_B

“Ummah”, within the House of Islam (dar al Islam); which is opposed to everyone else living in the House of War (dar al Harb).

      • GWB

The Euros have a history of enjoying wearing the jackboots. If they do put them on to resist the jihad, plenty of other folks are likely to get stomped, too.
Personally, I think they’re too afraid of that to ever truly stand up. Dang, 2,000 years of european civilization sure was a nice run.

        • NotYetInACamp

Eastern Europe is telling the muslims to get out. No way. Hungary says their constitution demands they repel the invasion. Hungary has been fighting the Muslims for over a thousand years.
It is the perversion of the culture by the non producing language using thieves that has brought us all where we are now. Those non producers believe their psychotic created language they use to steal (take) from the producers, think that their imagined reality will contain everyone. Not so much.

We’re in a mild recession. The Fed (Yellen the Yapper) may or may not announce a rate hike. We may see prices rise a little, but for every person who thinks ’tis better to drive an electric car or a Prius than a car like mine, bless your little hearts! You keep the price of gas down. Or prices may go down even more. I see them dropping now, but then, I cook and you guys all eat frozen foods, right?

The Saudis have finally figured out that oil shale is NOT the ‘fad’ thing they thought it was. It’s all over the planet, thanks to the Carboniferous and prior epochs. They are losing control of the oil market. They can’t get an agreement on pricing among OPEC and non-OPEC producers. Suddenly, things are not quite as clear as they thought they would be.

How many shuttered wells does Wade have on those back acres, Chris? Just curious. Something besides people confused about their anatomy is starting to blow in the wind. I see a storm coming. Maybe a breath of fresh air blowing up someone’s skirt.

    • John Greer

There’s so much gas in the ground I’m surprised Ukraine is not contracting our idle rigs to give them a home grown strategic reserve against the Russians.
(Or maybe they are and are keeping it on the QT.)
True, it would be expensive, relatively speaking, but it would insulate them from Putin’s blackmail.

    • Delilah T.

Well, you see, I’m just thinking that no matter who gets elected next Fall, if this recession gets worse – and it could – it means that whoever does get that job will get blamed for every single thing that goes wrong with our economy, in spades and permanently.

Think how awful it would be for the democraps if either the Bernout or Shrillary got the proverbial smackdown for something like that. Neither of them has the brains or competence to figure out how to avoid tanking it and making things worse. It would literally be as bad as Nixon and Watergate – what a payback! – and they would NEVER live it down. EVER.

You couldn’t pay me enough to take that job and watch things go to pieces right in front of me.

    • B Woodman

And somewhere along the line I have read/heard that the world’s oil and gas are NOT the finite reserves that the “end of oil” doom-and-gloomers keep having fainting spells about every 10 years or so. If I understand correctly, it’s much like diamonds, something about pressure and organic molecules (not necessarily the remains of the ancient plants etc from the dinosaur age).
So while the earth continues to produce goodness for us, we still need to be careful and wise stewards.

    • Delilah T.

Yeah, ‘peak’ oil time came and went and no one paid any attention. The Saudis are seeing their chokehold slipping right through their fingers. Who knew this would happen to them? Being king of the sand dune is fine, as long as it doesn’t slip right out from under you.

And if Putin was as smart as he thinks he is, he’d be mining the tundra in Siberia for methane and using the empty caverns for storage or some such thing, ๐Ÿ™‚ instead of thumbing his nose at the USA and trying to make nice with Syria.

Like I said, something is coming down the road at a slow but steady pace. If we’re paying attention, we’ll be fine and the screaming mobs will be left wondering ‘what was that?’
