Funny I never heard of animals contracting Covid before. Any cattlemen on the site want to chime in and clue us to he number of steers you lost in the last 5 years?
Strange part is all of the numerical code pads can be reprogrammed with your personal choice of code, so unless there is some kind of mas override (in which case we are way the fuck down the commie hole), the factory supplied code is worthless…in fact most new safes come with instructions to change the stock code which is usally all ones or numbers in succession…like I said, strange.
That said, Liberty safes might be the biggest selling because they are relatively cheap and many people with guns etc have been flocking to buy them. I would never buy a dedicated “gun safe” which are typically just several laminated sheets of thin steel over a concrete-like filling. A good prybar and drill and you’re in. Since I have always dealt with not just guns but gold, and coins, and jewelry and kept a substantial cash kitty, I came to use old jewelry safes which are UL rated like TL15 or TL30 to qualify for 1 or 2 million in ins coverage respectively. These TL30’s, the big ones like a refrigerator, are very heavy, like 4000 lbs plus, and expensive as hell new, around $2 per lb. But when jewelers shut down they usually do not want to deal with moving these monsters and will sell them for cheap, leaving it up to the buyer to arrange transportation, which will usually run $500 plus. But you will then have real security unless you are hit by safe pros (which the fibbers are not) for a total investment of maybe the same $2K you would pay for one of these crappy but pretty sporting goods store models. That’s just me, worked out pretty well for 40+ years.
But yeah, let’s hope Liberty Safes gets blacklisted from all the gun sites.
