People are not allowed to speak the truth in socialist America.

    • JSStryker

You are right those that speak the truth, the powers that be attempt to crush them.

      • MasterDiver

We DO have freedom of speech. Freedom AFTER speech, however…

    Of course not.

Perhaps it needed someone new to her. Or it could be that it’s just that she’s finally ready to hear the truth. In another circumstance, it’s said that if you’re not ready, no words are enough; but if you are, any words will do.

  • Bill G

“But that’s NOT how they sell it” …
No, they have many sales pitches; Social Justice is just a recent one, although it’s getting a lot of traction. “It’s for the children!” has been a long favorite. “Public Interest Research Groups” research socialist sides of any issue. And the opposition is derided. We are Bitter Clingers or Deplorables. Personally, I’m holding out to be the dregs of society.

  • Jim Smith

Very insightful sentiments, Chris. Spot on. Socialism IS “the rule of the few over the many,” but is billed as the opposite (everything coming from the Left is based upon lies, after all). And “sloth” is the “easy sell” that the Left promises while it delivers grinding poverty and ultimately death, which are the prices of sloth. And then there’s “envy,” the fundamental flaw in human nature that provides the engine of Leftism. Good panel.

  • MasterDiver

“Sloth is an easy sell” . Yes, so is “More free stuff”, “Free College”. “Free Medical Care”. “Free Housing”, “Free WiFi”, “Free TV”…just remember what happened to the little boys who went to Toyland where no one works and everything is free…

Donkey fever was part of the original 1883 Italian children’s novel “Adventures of Pinocchio” and although I don’t expect the author intended any link to the Democratic Jackass spirit animal, it does seem rather apropos…

….and obama proved that Envy is a voting class.

    • Don’t forget resentment. In addition to promoting sloth, avarice and envy, the left appeals to collectors of grievances, race baiting being a prime example and Obama being a skilled practitioner.

Sloth is an easy sell, just pay the masses to shut them up, no need to mention the whole rule by the few thing, the superior ones just do it. Somebody has to take from the beavers to give to the sloths, and might as well keep a nice cut…

But truth to tell, I wish it was about envy as that would indicate that they recognize and admire the superiority of the capitalist system and aspire to it? Yeah right, the one constant of socialism is its inherent belief in its eventual success. Plus yeah, there’s the whole Rulers of the Many thing, not a bad gig while it lasts.

        Same formula.

  • CuriousB

In watching this pathetic display of a convention put on by the Democrats, a point of history came to mind where a popular president was running for a second term, and the apposing party put up the former vice-president from the previous administration, and he picks a woman as a running mate. The apposing candidate proclaimed that he would raise taxes. It was a 49 state electoral landslide for the incumbent: Ronald Reagan vs Walter Mondale 1984. A euphoric feeling swelled in me.

Skimmed thru the Senate Intelligence Report V, two items stood out. Should not have hired Manafort, even for the four months, in case of a contested convention, The man was a gun for hire, but only looked after himself. The reason the DNC didn’t allow the FBI to examine their Russian hacked computers. Such would have revealed their monetary support for Steele and his dossier via Perkins Coie.

  • Norm015

Pam, (& anyone else on this forum) are any of us surprised that folks are beyond fed up with the the govt’s “response”? This sort of statement is indeed a warning, like the rattler on the Gadsden Flag. “You’re stepping on me, and that doesn’t end well for either of us.” I pray that things stop getting any worse & start getting better. I think what happens to folks who make public declarations like this, which are a legitimate warning; will be the weather vane for the near future.
