  • “Reporter”? Riiiiiiiiiiiiight.

    • Swansonic

He reports his own delusions as facts. Sadly, to him they are facts…..

      • interventor

Jim’s a puppet. He’d jump down the memory hole, if ordered. The only question is which kind, string operated from above, or a hand up his rear?

        • Tom Stockton

There’s an old joke (well, to me anyway):

Q: If a hand puppet could talk, what’s the first thing it would say?

A: HEY! Get your hand out of my ASS!!

          Hahahahahaha…

          • JTC

I don’t think that would apply to a person of Jimmy’s persuasion. More like rearrange the letters of your laughter: “Ahhhhhhhhhhh…”

Accompanied by a glassy stare…no wait that’s his regular look.

  • Alfred North

OMG, Chris — there has not been anything as beautiful as your opening panel since the opening credits of “Lost in Translation”!

  • Delilah T

NYT: Judge Kelly declined to say whether the denial of the White House press pass had amounted to a First Amendment issue.

“I want to emphasize the very limited nature of this ruling,” he said, saying that it was not meant to enshrine journalists’ right to access. “I have not determined that the First Amendment was violated here.”

“JIM” is an ill-mannered buffoon spoiling for a fight. That has nothing to do with the 1st Amendment. But it does have a lot to do with being a guest in someone else’s House.

Likewise, the White House is under no obligation to hold press conferences at all. It’s a courtesy, not an obligation, so-o-o-o-o….

And the confab with Chuckie and Nanny P in front of the press, because they lie like moldy bread after those things – well, that was priceless.

    • John

There is no 1st Amendment issue here. CNN had alternate personnel to deploy. Declaring one idiot to be Persona Non Grata does not a violation make.

  • Pamela

Why do I see the Bad Guys/Libs/Progs/Dems/Socs making Red Flag claims, then robbing/raping/murdering the People who were Red Flagged.

    • interventor

Lesson, always keep at least one weapon well hidden and hard to find the seller. At the extreme, a percussion cap revolver and several cylinders,

      • PaulS

If anyone lets it get to that point, it’s already over for them.
Something about “All enemies…” comes to mind.

      • John M.

Over the course of three-quarters of a century, I’ve lived at a lot of different addresses, and I’ve purchased a number of firearms – many of them before the Form 4473 and NICS was a “thing.” Any that I have purchased since I moved to this address are stored neatly in a floor safe conveniently located near the front door. The rest of them? I ain’t saying. Maybe I sold them, or I might have given them to my kids or grandkids… Oh! That one pistol that I reported stolen and was recovered and returned by the Sheriff’s Department? Yeah, it’s there in the safe.

    • ExNuke

Pamela, you can save some typing if you just group “Bad Guys/Libs/Progs/Dems/Socs” as Repressives or Regressives. If they aren’t obsessed with controlling every thought, word and act of everyone below them (in their minds) they want to be controlled like children so nothing is ever their own fault.

      • Deplorable B Woodman

        ExNuke,
        I like “Libtards” .

        • JTC

Nothing paints the picture like “Proglodytes”.

          • Henry

I’m still stumping for “totalitarians.” Because it’s a genuine dictionary word and everybody knows what it means.

          • JTC

More coldly accuratc I guess, though most people’s eyes just glaze over when that and the N word most common in ideological mudslinging and they tune out.

There is just something so satisfyingly and appropriately cartoonish and cavemanish about proglodyte, while leaving no doubt about it’s implications.

And to me at least there is nothing in life more pleasing than the creative and even inventive use and/or coining of language and words; certainly that is being employed on a mass scale from their side, this is an offset, obviously the opposite.

No, not that n-word, I mean nazi…talk about a leftist confiscation language.

          • John

As far as I am concerned any reference to the Intersectionalists is not worthy of the word Progressive.
Real Progressives believe in the advancement of society.
The Intersectionalists are truly dedicated to the destruction of Western Culture and Regressive is almost too mild a term for them.

        • Old Codger

I’m kinda partial to “libtards” m’self.

And for the record, I think “vagalante” is superior to “vaginalante”. it is shorter and I think it has more punch. Also, a good portmanteau has enough of each of the parent words to make the meaning reasonably clear without including all of either. “Vagalante” maintains the syllable count of both parent words while maintaining the scansion of the latter. But that is just one sick old fart’s opinion and you know what they say about opinions. 😉

          • JTC

Sorry OC there’s no recognition without the ina which is the whole description of the word really

    • The Nth Doctor

If someone wants to take your guns away from you, it’s because they want to do something to you that they couldn’t do if you still had them.

    • John M.

I hadn’t thought of it until now, but this Red Flag crap could be the new method of “Swatting” someone!

  • JTC

    Another two-fer. Excellent.

Giving Jim and his ilk the benefit of the doubt here…that truth to lie score is correct on the former, a big goose egg, but the latter is spinning so fast it’s just a blur and a dull roar…

Back to that top panel though, once I get past marvelling that is one fine rear view for a woman having just birthed a bouncing boy, on Zed’s topic that package of grabber laws one would think can and will be reversed once the new gov and SCOFL appointees take their seats in January.

  • Deplorable B Woodman

    “Sir, as a reporter….”
    ” 0-4! Amazing! Unbelievable! ”

CM, who’s your comedy writer? You ain’t paying them enough.
    Priceless! Astounding!
I choked when I read that punch line! Once again, comedy makes the point.

  • Halley

There are times and places that are appropriate for redhot redheads to wear clothing. I wish this weren’t one of them…

  • Punta Gorda

I thought there was a leash law… where’s Acosta’s owner? Bastard is shitting all over the place.

    • MAJ Arkay

PG, I am more than grateful not to have been drinking my morning tea when I read that. Appreciate the morning guffaw.

  • Bill G

0-4 is just the start for him.

  • GWB

The problem with ‘red flag’ laws is their lack of due process. Well, that and the lack of actually doing anything about people that really are threats. (E.g., The Sandy Hook perpetrator had his weapon taken away (by mom), but she didn’t do anything about him, so he acquired one anyway – by killing her.) It ain’t the tool, it’s the user.

    • eon

Disarming actual criminals would remove them as an excuse for disarming future victims- of criminals and government both.

“Gun control” has only and ever been about keeping government safe from adverse consequences when it abuses its power. It has never been about the safety and security of law-abiding citizens, whom an unfortunately large number of government types and other self-defined “enlightened ones” define as sheep to be sheared as they please- and made into mutton when they no longer produce an adequate quota of “wool”.

      clear ether

      eon

  • Henry

OK, I’m confused. Going by the balloon color, the three claims in the third panel should be from Trump. And they all look accurate. So where are Jim’s three false claims?

  • Peet

    Henry (Dec 14 2018 at 7:36 am)

… So where are Jim’s three false claims?

Henry, that would be what he said during the press conference that culminated with Accosta laying hands on the W/H intern. He “schooled” Trump that the caravan wasn’t a threat, they were NOT going to rush the border, etc.

If you go back and watch his “performance” you’ll see wha I mean…

  • Tagg

    Beautiful. Just beautiful. Dayumn beautiful!

  • WayneM

Remind us who care about your wellbeing why you remain a resident of Florida, Chris?

    • JTC

Dude, you’re a Canuck. Right now there’s more of y’all here than there.

Don’t know if you missed it but the fla just hired a wannabe Trump* who in turn is about to hire THREE state supreme court justices to replace the THREE libs who just term limited out. At least for another twenty years at least some sanity will prevail even if the pockets of wackjob progs succeed in four or eight years in installing something like the flaming racist crooked commie that damn near squeaked it out this time. We got a reprieve and no doubt this stupid overreach on gun rights will be addressed. Otherwise I’d already be gone from here after sixty years.

*(there’s a lot of those here and as discussed yesterday just south of our border and also south of mexico’s border, even some in the eurotrash zone! Most are a pale impression but yuuuugely better than the alternative)

      • JTC

BTW, those “pockets of wackjob progs” include quite a few of your great white brethren, keep those old socialist mother fuckers to yourself wouldjaplease?
