No, Biden probably thinks it’s an early Easter decoration, but he’s wondering where the cross bars are…

On a side note – sometimes late at night when the medications are kicking in pretty good, I wonder what would have happened if the Romans would have hanged Christ instead of crucifying him? Would everyone wear nooses around their necks?

For one thing, it would have been “The last word of Christ” instead of “The seven last words of Christ.”

The Romans wanted something that took a while. It was as much torture as execution.

Or as was explained later: “For the encouragement of others.”

Hanging, strangling, beheading and stoning were the generally ‘kosher’ forms of execution at the time.
Nailing people up was a mostly Roman practice to ‘give them time to reflect on the error of their ways’

The posts were very often permanent fixtures with the crossbars sitting on a mortise/tenon arrangement at the top for quick use and rapid reloads.

A tasteful arrangement of suitably shaped posts would serve well as reminders to politicians as to who they’re supposed to be working for, with a prepared crossbeam propped in the corner of each gov’t office, for both the elected and unelected as applicable.

Might be time to set a few memorial gardens up in Washington, Ottawa, London and Berlin (for starters) just to get the hint across, not that they’d take it or that anyone could afford the lumber nowadays.

If stoning had been used instead of crucifiction, as it would have been if the Jews had actually done the deed as frequently claimed, would good xtians beat themselves all over with their fists instead of crossing themselves ?

Well Idaho is joining a few other states to off their bad guys by firing squad,,,I always favored that for obvious reasons; so synbolic, so efficient. Not so artsy for Sam’s sculpture I guess, but a pockmarked marble wall and a dark stained floor underneath has a certain charm and effect…

      Hey JTC & Kafiroon,

A couple of friends of mine just had surgery and got the multi-lenses – the lens did not live up to the hype. When I had RK surgery 25+ years ago my right ended up normal and my left was slightly far-sighted. Worked very well for me. No I need cataract surgery on my left eye and I think I’ll try for the same result and deal with readers.

Kafiroon – thanks for your info.

JTC – I hope it goes well for you.

See how it goes, I read an inordinate amount so I needs my eyeballs for that, and I might have to get back into some long range shooting, ex-cop buddy has 20 acres that he sold fill from and had them leave a gorgeous backdrop ledge, looks like a big wave curling to crash on shore, even bad shooters will khave their projectiles stopped there, used to be pretty tight on the 3″ at 200 yds, now I can’t even find it with a 4X, and I would like to hit 6″ at 300 which is as far as his land can take, we will see, first gotta see what we can see.

Doc said outcomes range from success to partial blindness to blindness to death…he’s pretty plain-spoken, I like that. Told him not blindness, if it goes that way to be sure I croak, he said okey dokey. 😀

I had cataracts removed in both eyes — one at a time — 10 yrs+- ago. Didn’t realize just how yellow everything was with the old one.. I had distance-adjusted installed so I have to wear lens to drive/read but that’s fine. Now I have to get rid of the blue-blocker lenses they put in. They tell me the everything-yellow things are to “save my 80 yr-old eyes from long term blindness”. Yeah, right.

All I had was a pretty good “you will relax and enjoy this procedure.” they really do Not want you wiggling around. Saw pretty lights and didn’t feel a thing during the operation. I am very happy with my two slightly different lenses for distance. Be really glad you are getting this instead of your wife.
You would then find yourself painting the whole house inside and out. Plus curtains, flooring, furniture, etc. “Because it all looks ‘Dingy'”

Only thing bugging me is doc says they -really- hate the effects of tamsulosin (flomax), which apparently makes the iris dance around and they have to stick a peg in it to hold it still for the procedure, then yank them back out. Fun.

Good luck finding .22’s, any larger calibre would be an unnecessary waste of money.
A volley of .22LR’s to the guilty cranium would be more than sufficient, ‘greener’, and the noise wouldn’t wake the rest of the population 😉

Don’t I recall that 6-man squads would have their rifles randomly passed out and loaded with blanks but one so they wouldn’t know who did the killin’?

Anymore with this group though, have to load up everybody to keep them from fighting about who gets the live one…

And .223 is still way cheaper than setting up and manning the gallows.

        ULTRA-MAGA TOP DAWG JTC

Or was it one blank and five hot? Makes more sense to be sure the job gets done and gives them all the thought they might not have shot the guy. But again, most who would be on that squad would want to be in on the killin’ and would certainly have the justification and the Grace of God on their side.

      • March 27, 2023 at 11:20 am
        Oldarmourer

If I recall correctly without looking it up, it was three live and two blanks ? Likely different between countries and eras anyway.
Of course if you can’t tell the difference between firing a blank and a ball cartridge from a bolt action rifle you probably shouldn’t be on the squad to begin with.
There probably isn’t a lot of recoil difference between a .22LR and a heavy loaded .22 blank like a ramset cartridge, another reason for going cheap 😉

Yes, legend has it that a death sentence was pronounced, but no execution date.
The condemned prisoners went about their lives day-to-day and one day as they were escorted through a doorway, someone on the other side stepped up behind them and put one behind their ear, much as like what happened to Joe Pesci’s character in “Goodfellas”.

Someone once remarked to me that the 9mm Makarov “wasn’t much of a pistol.” I asked them how much pistol you needed to shoot someone tied to a chair.

A Russian friend of the family moved with his family from Russia to China after the Russia fell to communism. He was in business and in Nanking when the Japanese committed their that extreme unpleasantness.
Our friend was captured by the Japanese and interrogated. He would not give them information he knew because of who he was and the business that he was in. The Japanese every day for over four months, maybe many more, took him into a courtyard to be shot along with about ten other people. Every day they shot all of the others, who dropped dead next to him in front of the wall. He was led back to his cell.
Eventually they stopped doing it. The information was no longer needed, or the Russian or another nation’s ambassador made a request that was finally granted. I don’t recall which, or another reason. That was a unique form of torture few have experienced. that was personally related t me and other members of my family and his family.
He moved to Cuba to get away from the Chines communists. He came to the USA to get away from the Cuban Communists. No one can tell me they have not been on a march across the world.

Words and thoughts are most definitely the most dangerous and violent things in the word.
The Coup and other tyrants have known that through history. Opposition must be destroyed by these in power and ideas words and thoughts controlled.

Watch and notice where censorship shows its head as new areas are felt to need censorship by the Coup cabal, NWO, whatever, as they see the need to protect themselves from the most dangerous threat in the world to them. That is ideas and free speech.

    This makes me feel better.

Th he necktie is not related to a noose if you look at your history. The Croatian or Hravat army, fighting Muslims as much of Europe was, discovered that a well knotted piece of heavy silk worn at the neck made it difficult for the Muslims to slit their Christian throats,…the Hravat became the cravat which in more peaceful times became the necktie.
