Well, “payback” is the title and “1776 redux” is the category so…

We might expect tea to be tossed or lead to fly, but I would prefer to just serve notice that I no longer recognize their right to control me or their right to tax me as a citizen of the new sovereign Constitutional Republic of America. No play, no pay.

I assume the yellow balloon in panel 2 is a taxpayer. Not sure why a taxpayer would have Lois Lerners at his end.

I often have trouble figuring out who is saying what on DBD. Doubly difficult in a panel like today’s, where there is only one character featured, and NONE of the dialogue belongs to him. Pointy balloons are my friend.

Oh, I know who Lois Lerner WAS. I just don’t understand why a patriot taxpayer would be “light on Lois Lerners here.”

You have a better case than the crimigrants (spell check suggesting “crime grants”) that this is being considered for. They should not be given anything, they SHOULD be billed for the expenses incurred in dealing with their criminal actions.

Yeah! My try did not include breaking the law, or illegally being in our nation, or being part of an asymmetric invading enemy army. US Case law excludes such people (and more) from citizenship and excludes their entourages and excludes their children born here.
If they can reward lawbreakers, they can reward someone who contributed to this nation. If anyone should get some of our accumulated resources, it should be citizens (and maybe legally present green card holders. Wong v US (1898) US Supreme court.

    FIREARMS REFRESHER COURSE

“Those who hammer their guns into plows will plow for those who do not.”
    ~ Thomas Jefferson

    1. An armed man is a citizen. An unarmed man is a subject.
    2. A gun in the hand is better than a cop on the phone.
    3. Colt: The original point and click interface.
    4. Gun control is not about guns; it’s about control.
    5. If guns are outlawed, can we use swords?
    6. If guns cause crime, then pencils cause misspelled words.
    7. Free men do not ask permission to bear arms.
    8. If you don’t know your rights, you don’t have any.
    9. Those who trade liberty for security have neither.
    10. The United States Constitution (c)1791. All Rights Reserved.
    11. What part of “shall not be infringed” do you not understand?
    12. The Second Amendment is in place in case the politicians ignore the others.
    13. 64,999,987 firearms owners killed no one yesterday.
    14. Guns only have two enemies; rust and politicians.
    15. Know guns, know peace, know safety. No guns, no peace, no safety.
    16. You don’t shoot to kill; you shoot to stay alive.
    17. 911: Government sponsored Dial-a-Prayer.
    18. Assault is a behavior, not a device.
    19. Criminals love gun control; it makes their jobs safer.
    20. If guns cause crime, then matches cause arson.
    21. Only a government that is afraid of its citizens tries to control them.
    22. You have only the rights you are willing to fight for.
    23. Enforce the gun control laws we ALREADY have; don’t make more.
    24. When you remove the people’s right to bear arms, you create slaves.
    25. The American Revolution would never have happened with gun control.

I really can’t think of a gun control law that does one damn bit of good, probably better to Sunset them all and see what happens then. I’d bet on a move in the right direction.

“enforce the ones you have is good”

Damn if I can think of one single good gun law. Brent? Anybody?

“reduce the number you have is better.”

Yup. Like reduce to zero. Much like other “laws” that seek to modify and/or ignore the Constitution. Like somebody said, clean slate.

Then we will see what spartan framework is assembled by the signatories and founders of the Constitutional Republic of America. My belief is that laws pertaining to 2A can be completely supplanted by 2A itself. Anything criminal involving guns is just that; criminal, and should be dealt with the same as any other criminal or crime.

Much of legislative output can be treated the same, laws guided verbatim or nearly so by an Originalist read of the Constitution. But I do single out the Second for special attention due to its vesting of inherent and exclusive power to the Citizens to protect and defend themselves and the rest of it’s provisions.

Growing up in the backwoods of Maine where doors were never locked and guns could often be found in every room, ‘gun control’ would have been considered ordinary firearm safety. Times they do change.

Nah. All the Dams were full in 2020 and now they are empty.
Instead of fixing the sewer treatment plants, the water was allowed to run out to the ocean. Plus the State wouldn’t allow additional water storage to be built. Took the $$$$ for it, but it doesn’t get built.

For the last 40+ years Khalistan, to my knowledge, has had water issues. It cannot tap anymore rivers— they are fully tapped already. Major rivers (that actually reach the ocean) now have tides-they are turning salty…not good for farmers. Everything that can be dammed has been dammed—repeatedly. It has 800 +- miles of coastline yet refuses to
de-salinate the water because “It tastes bad”. I wrote that state off for good in’88. I am now, by the Grace of God, a hardcore Tennessean.

The Boston Massacre was a sign that the Americans needed guns, organization, and planning for the years ahead. The colonists had discussed matters in correspondence, then decided on actions, especially after Britain acted worse. No tax without representation. Of only we had such low taxes now.
