A short, simple civil ceremony is all that’s necessary.
No big expensive wedding needed.
Keep it Texas BBQ simple.
Family and neighbors.
Roast (cow/pig(s)) with the fixin’s.
And there are enough civil/state ordained ministers out there (pagan, Druid, Odin, whatever) if you don’t want to go all high-falutin’ religious (twenty flavors of Christian, Buddhist, etc). And many are friends enough that don’t mind getting paid in gas and a hearty meal.
So……don’t have to spend five-figures plus for a memorable wedding.
Don’t need fancy china, silverware and table decorations.
Paper plates, plastic ware, rolls of napkins (paper towels) will do, as long as the grub and grog are good.
The only thing I might splurge on would be disposable cameras on each table so everyone will have a hand in the memories.

Socialists believe that money and wealth originate with gov; fed and otherwise…or at least they want the proles to believe it. And at the same time they want the producers to cease and desist and die. We’ll see how that works.
The original Puritan Thanksgiving proved that socialism / communism did not work. When it was all common work for the colonists and then split the goods produced, they starved.
When the leader changed it to each person or family had an assigned plot of land from which they retained the production to eat or sell any surplus, then people did not starve with the bountiful harvest private ownership produced.
Other pie in the sky to each according to their needs and work as you will colonies suffered starvation until they got off their asses and worked with the motivation of benefiting from their production.
