The Company R us and POTUS is CEO, helping him helps us.

The tax cuts didn’t help average Americans in need?

Now that Assange is arrested, Trump should make sure they investigate Chelsea Transmanning and get that butt back in federal lockup. I want them to find out why Barry O gave them that Get Out of Jail Free card when he no longer had worry about sucking up to any special interest group.

Actually, I had heard that people did not appreciate the tax cuts because their refunds were smaller. True story. They did not notice the slightly larger paychecks but noticed the smaller refunds. They are so brainwashed that they do not realize that it is their money they are getting back, not the “government’s money”.

“…it is their money they are getting back, not the “government’s money”.

True on the second part, gov got no money but ours.

Which brings us to the first part. Let me suggest a primer on something called the Earned Income Credit (an hilarious misnomer if ever there was one)…they’re not getting anything “back”, they are the recipients of social(ist) redistribtion on a massive scale. Gov handed it out but it came straight from our pockets.

Every year February was my biggest for sales, not December as you would expect. Some of my pawn customers talked for months about getting their check at which time they would bail out their pawned goods and spend like drunk sailors on anything their hearts desired…often well into the thousands of dollars. And all from “unemployed” or “disabled” able-bodied men, and women who got big bonuses for having too many kids by baby daddy’s they never married.

That’s what has been somewhat curtailed and that’s why freeloaders and their enablers who counted on their bought votes are majorly pissed about the great “refund” reduction.

DJT must know the Wall is going to continue to be a yuge issue and perhaps his worst liability for re-election. The more he raises the issue and gets more & more info, especially from those Americans directly impacted by the constant influx, the less credible the Democrats/mainstream media will look…

Hopefully the “Never Trumpers” in the Republican Party finally realize what DJT is achieving and will put aside their personal animus against him.

There are “Never Trumpers” like William Kristol and The Bulwark suffering their own version of Trump Derangement Syndrome, and they’d rather let it all burn if they can’t have their version of a conservative Republican Party.

The other type of “Never Trumpers” are resigned to “What the heck, we won, stuff’s getting done, we can play along and wait for President Pence or Cruz or Liz Cheney.”

I’m of the second type… The “What the heck, we won…” subspecies.

First, how the hell do you lump Liz Cheney in with the likes of Ted Cruz?

Second, what makes believers like me (still have my Cruz stickers on my truck) different than Trumpkins who will unflinchingly vote for him without a wall?

        PaulS

I’ll put it this way, being a former Cruz’r Myself.
Ted didn’t make the ticket, and since, has disappointed me with several actions and statements disparaging this President that don’t help the country.
President DJT won, and in spite of the 24/7 Multifront investigation attack’s, has accomplished quite a lot of good for the country and has not disappointed me.
Pretty much all of the “objectionability” I hear regarding PDJT are matters of style rather than substance, and shouldn’t we really be about substance?
Sure I want the wall, does anyone really believe there is no progress there, or that there wouldn’t be Current sections being demolished under the other parties candidate(s)?

Exactly how fast did you expect the unfucking of the Country to take? Especially when getting your own party onboard is as tough as the opponent. DJT ain’t the Teflon President, he seems to be more like the Unobtainium President!
Now, bring in another delivery of ShitToFix(tm), stat!!

      • April 12, 2019 at 9:06 am

        @Browncoat,

Unflinchingly keeping the Cruz faith eh? And with zero accomplishments that I have seen, and quite a bit of disappointing behavior, not least of which was damn near losing his seat to frickin’ Beta Boy, would it be the same if he were POTUS running for re-election against him/it? Not very inspiring.

And none of that gives me pleasure to say…in ’16 I was of the firm belief that DJT just wanted to win but did not really want the grueling task of being prez, and hoped for a Trump/Cruz ticket that would let the latter be a firebrand for four years and president the next four after The Donald went back to doing deals and living the high life in Palm Beach.

I was wrong. Trump has stunned me with his stamina and his pure pursuit of what is good for the Deplorables that put him in the big chair, and by extension what is best for America and the world. Odd methodology for sure, but you just cannot argue with the successes that he likes to tick off as in the ‘toon here and in real life.

Further and even more important, I have come to believe that his patriotism is real, that his heart is pure, and that his aims are dead-on accurate to save the country from devolving into a macrocosm of TBWGBUTB…or worse, a full-on Socialist Republic.

Thank God things went as they did and Cruz was relegated to frustrated and envious sniping and obscurity. And let me say thank God for Pence as well…I don’t know if he is up to the top job, but by the time Trump is done in ’24 (prayers that it will be so) the country might be more able to be administered by someone with his quiet but strong methods and personality.

Someone’s going to be the first female President. Would you prefer Representative Liz Cheney or Senator Elizabeth Warren? I don’t think Stacey Abrams is going to make the cut, and as Wikipedia puts it, “Cheney is the House Republican Conference Chair, the third-highest position in GOP House leadership.” Do you got a better choice?

      • April 12, 2019 at 12:49 pm

I like Liz. I like Judge Jeanine too, but not for prez, neither of them, nor any other female, at least in my lifetime; 20 years at the outside.

And with two 40-something very conservative and quite accomplished daughters, it ain’t got nothing to do with misogyny or any of that other made-up lefty label crap.

It just is not what the country or the world needs at this stage of evolution/revolution. SCOTUS OTOH…

The presidency of DJT is only a brief reprieve just before the USA goes fully to hell, losing its status as a real nation and folding into the new world order. If he can keep succeeding on his campaign promuses, including securing our borders, guve us second term, then leave his clone in office, we stabd a chance if surviving as a free nation. If he fails to keep the support of the American people, well, get ready to write off one country. Obama’s handlers will have succeeded.

‘Sick And Twisted’: Liberals Flip Out Over Trump Proposal To Drop Illegals In Sanctuary Cities

And some of them suddenly appeared to be concerned that a rapid influx of illegal migrants might actually pose some of the threats Trump has been claiming it would.

Trump has been lying, there have been no problems, we can keep absorbing 1,000 to 4,000 new people a day without issue. As long as we don’t put them in the communities that will welcome them the most and have sworn to protect them, because then ‘some people might do something’. Primo logic there, proggies.

New York Dems Block Tuition Aid for Gold Star Families — After Voting to Spend $27M on Aid for Illegals

Dems pointed to an existing plan giving $2.7 million tuition aid to dependents of combat vets, after giving illegals $27 million in tuition aid, thus illegals are deemed ten times the worth of veteran family members to NY Dems.

They call doing it to good governments a Cloward-Piven Strategy, named for the 2 Columbia radical professors who proposed this form of it.

The strategy has been used for millenium as a means of war against populations one desires to defeat or destroy. Clog them up with useless consumers of the state’s production. an old and venerated plan.

Once you know the game, you know the game doesn’t change.

If you want to get hyped up over one party verses another, have at it and enjoy yourself, but they’re still both parties of Babylon. They know how to speak your language, or how to ignore it, such as it suits them. Welcome to the machine. Welcome to Rome. Welcome to Babylon.

Welcome to the Hotel California. You can checkout any time you like, certainly, but you can never leave because the alternatives presented as competition all lead you back to another franchise of Hotel California. They even pretend to hate each other, and may even put one another’s branches out of business, but it’s all to keep up the show so you’ll always be putting your hope into one of their affiliates. It’s the Dialectic Method.

Lyle, if the rise of Deplorables has exemplified anything it is that parties no longer mean shit, if they ever really did. lt ain’t about a party.

Also, in this particular venue it is more than a little annoying to try to come off as the only one uniquely gifted with the insight that for the most part politicians are only about their own perpetuation. Got it.

But as usual the exceptions prove the rule and what is undeniable is that there are factions who have real and dark agendas bent on destruction and domination and a few who are willing and ready to fight to the death to prevent it.

Fatalism is not preordained but it is self-ordaining.
