    An article by Byron York about the two parties caught my eye yesterday;

    https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/daily-memo/4649188/which-is-the-party-of-democracy/

    The answer is, neither one.

Democrats are the “Obey Me” party.

Republicans are the “Pay Me” party.

Neither party could function without the other.

Both parties hold the American people (or in their lexicon, the “peasants”) in utter and complete contempt, with a heavy leavening of sheer loathing.

All they really want from the peasants is their money, and their (forced) obedience.

As for votes, that’s what illegal immigrants are for.

Both parties have effectively disconnected elections from public opinion. They don’t care what the “public” thinks of what they do, because they know they can always import enough “new voters” to bury the ballot box in any election with enough votes to keep themselves in office.

If both parties were just naturally lazy and greedy, it wouldn’t matter so much. But unfortunately, progressives are absolutely certain they know how to create A Perfect World and they are hell-bent on doing it. No matter who they have to kill to get to Utopia.

In my estimation, more misery has been created by reformers than by any other force in human history. Show me someone who says, ‘Something must be done!‘ and I will show you a head full of vicious intentions that have no other outlet.

X-ring. Dems attract money based on their direction. Repubs choose direction by whoever pays them. Indifferent young voters need to be educated in some critical history, and fast, but the workload for that is likely too big for those who could, who are still alive.

      Accurate but incomplete eon.

We think of and talk about a “third party” to escape the ill intents of the two.

But it ain’t the goofs of the Libertarians (note the big L) or any of the odd others.

The truth is we have had one since 1986. Call it the no-name party, or call it what it is; the MAGA party, but not the one the left loves to hate and hold out as White Supremacists yadayadayada.

For better or worse, it’s the Trump Party, actually the MAGA. Or we could call it the Third Rail party; touch it and it will either energize you or kill you.

Our biggest threat is as badger notes as to the young ones coming up in the middle of this maelstrom…the ones we have given control over them, the influence of the innoculation system and the media system, virtually guarantee that they will not learn and be exposed to the truth, that it is them, not some party, that must step up with the critical thinking, the logic, and the reason. Not necessarily embracing the MAGA party as it were but rather the force that created it, the rising tide of the Preference Cascade.

But like Ol’ Possum understood and sang in an almost perfect parallel with old country music, who in the world is going to fill the shoes of the real Patriots who came before?

DT is just one man, wildly imperfect but pure of heart and soul and belief in the American Dream pursuing it without regard to personal cost; not sure of what comes next or who/what can and will step up…but it sure as hell ain’t the Dems or the Pubs.

Keep in mind that while the Fremen may have lived like the Toureg on Arrakis, their religion was Orange Catholic. The Bene Gesserit were roughly the equivalent of the pre-Vatican II Jesuit order.

I suspect the OC Church disliked Islam even more than they did ‘thinking machines”. The Butlerian Jihad was apparently named ironically, as it targeted Islamists as much as it did AIs.

Ah yes. The choice between useless, avarice peacocks and foaming at the mouth “saviours” of mankind. Both deadly to us peons.

It all boils down to a simple often overlooked aspect of most organisms, the innate need to provide as much as possible for oneself and control the means of providing it so nobody interferes with it. Some trees grow tall to gather more sunlight, not caring if they block it from other plants, baleen whales filter everything out of the water, not caring if they take in a few larger fish with it, and some people, mostly the feral gimmies and the politicians creating them to plunder the programs, want to put everything they see in their own pockets not caring if they take too much and leave nothing for anyone else. At least a businessman creates jobs and stocks while taking profits.
