The most numerous tank in the world is the T-54/55. Over 120,000 built from 1948 to 1993. They are still in use worldwide because they are so simple and mule-stupid mechanically that even Third World peasants unfamiliar with things like basic math can keep them running.
Next up is the T-72. 67,000 built from 1971 to 1986.
Those two models alone, plus their variants (the T-80 is a T-72 with better electronics) account for over 60% of the total number of tanks in the world.
Somebody running Russian-made tanks used to mean they were Soviet “clients”.
Today it mostly means they picked them up on the tank equivalent of the used-car market.
Imagine what Javier could devise for simple economical upgrades!

The purpose of a military is to kill the enemies who threaten you and break their stuff until they stop being enemies, no more, no less. Up here the military is now codified as a ‘make work project’ used to shovel snow in cities that didn’t hire any plow operators and fight fires caused bu not clearing out the underbrush for decades. We’ve effectively disarmed ourselves and the General ranks are filled with those too ‘woke’ to find jobs on the street. All enlistees now have to check off the proper boxes signifying their lack of citizenship and non-white, non-straight status. As a result, basic Training is filled with different groups that have gang fights on the parade ground and refuse to listen to female instructors.
I’m glad I served when I did because I couldn’t do it now, but you can’t even say ‘served’ anymore…

How long was slavery in place and operating in Canada? I was under the impression that except for Indians (Y’all call them First Nations) that there had never been slavery in Canada.
It wasn’t. What they call ‘slavery’ was indentured servitude where you willingly signed over a defined period of your time in exchange for forgiveness of an owed debt. Any ‘slaves’ we had came up from the US or moreoften immigratd from Africa or the Carribean. They may have been slaves there but not here and quite frankly I owe them NOTHING !
Any ‘reparations’ should come from the other tribes in Africa that conquered their ancestors and took them as slaves to sell to the muslim traders some of whom were known as the ‘Barbary Pirates’ who took anyone they found regardless of origin.
Islam is a tyrannical system of governance masquerading as a religion; Communism, conversely, is a religion masquerading as a tyrannical system of governance. Neither deserves to exist.

By far the majority of slave trade deliveries was to Brazil and the Caribbean with about 5 million each. Less than a half million went to mainland America. Have you ever heard of reparation demands made against Brazil or the countries of the Caribbean (Jamaica, Barbados, Trinidad etc)? No? Is that because most of the slave holders there were/are themselves black? Or because they would be laughed out of the country or worse if such claims were made?

Ultimately, most wars are about either land or loot.
Some are also about the extermination of what the aggressors define as “vermin”.
The usual definition of “vermin” is “anybody who is not us”.
It is tribalism carried to its logical conclusion with utter ruthlessness and nothing remotely resembling a conscience.
Islamists, most Third World cultures, and all post-modern progressives are tribalists.
As such, their behavior really should not surprise anybody.
