OT (somewhat) I find it infinitely fascinating that an attempt to bork a republican candidate for the senate has produced so very much hassle for dems. The real irony is that while the attempted borking of Judge Moore is utterly transparent and the witnesses against him would not withstand the slightest scrutiny in a court of law, the climate produced has led to the outing of numerous leftist icons. Yet another example of what the late Mike Vanderboegh called the iron law of unintended consequences. I think it’s rich.

That, of course, is one of the reasons that the Special Counsel is looking into the President’s personal financial transactions.

If, on the other hand, your complaint is with his exploitation of the Law as it stands then remember this: The Law is an Ass.
Capitalism is purely the creature of the Law. If you have complaints about any aspect of Capitalism, Change the Law.
Some of us here even advocate a separation of Economics and State simply because the temptation for lawmakers to stuff their pockets and those of their friends and family at the expense of the public is far too great. Any infraction Trump may have done in the past pales in comparison to what Congress and the Federal Bureaucracy does on an ongoing basis.

However, after seeing Deep State, venal government bureaucracy, lechers in congress and the self protecting laws they pass for themselves while ignoring the people they have conned into voting for them, I am thankful that even though I have reached the age of 83 I am no longer anxious to carry out my “Methuselah” dreams.
