The evolution of the Democratic Party in 25 words or less:

“We are going to put a man on the moon.” John F. Kennedy 1962

“We are going to put a man in the Ladies Room.” Barack Obama 2016

I’m afraid those 25 words prove no D evolution at all…

Heu! Don’t forget that National Review kicked out Mark Steyn, John Derbyshire, Ann Coulter and Joe Sorban for being too conservative. And they were supposed to be on the same side! I think Williamson got punked. His inner Admiral Akbar should have been screaming, “It’s a trap!”

They’ve gone past creating neologisms to creating secret languages. Not realizing that such languages do not prevent the Great Unwashed from divining their true meanings. They simply make actual communication impossible, while simultaneously creating a verbal gauntlet intended to weed out the Not Totally 1000% Faithful.

Frank Herbert would have understood their mentality perfectly. Of course, he would have pointed out that such antics were part of what led to the downfall of Emperor Shaddam IV, the Harkonnens, the Sardaukar, and the Bene Gesserit.

While the Fremen were communicating in plain…Arabic.

Don’t you realize they are incapable of learning through analogy and reasoning and interpretation? There are LOADS of books that would set them aright if they simply could learn that way.
I think it’s the primary reason they don’t grasp Brave, New World and 1984 as warnings, and instead seem to see them as instruction manuals.

My experience is that some are just unwilling, some are simply unable, but most are a tragic mix, each its own sad blend, of unwilling and unable. Trying to figure out that segment of humanity that, for whatever reasons or congenital defects, forever aims downward is ultimately an exercise in total frustration.

Currently reading, ‘Home Country’ by Ernie Pyle (killed in action 1945 in the Pacific) – a collection of his newspaper articles as he traveled across 1930 s America. The Americans he writes about would be appalled by the idiocy of today. His writings should be required in every classroom and every school of journalism. His articles capture the life of this country one short article at a time.
His most famous (and widely printed) piece came out of WWII – ‘The Death of Captain Waskow’ which is a recounting of a night during the Italian Campaign and the aftermath of the death of an infantry officer. This short piece is amazing reporting combined with the kind of prose that is sadly lacking today. It’s easy to find so have a look.
Ernie I wonder what you would say about the so called reporting today. Although I think you’d find many of the tough but kind religious and caring Americans you wrote about still exist in flyover country.

Ernie Pyle wrote truth as he and Americans saw it. He saw what was there, not what someone wanted him to write about.
Today the “credentialed press” writes “truth” as it can be fit, molded, lied, taqiyya-ed, mutilated, lied about, created, cremated, and made up and however necessary to the reporter to follow the particular agenda the “press reporter” is following, as per orders.
There are many people like him still in America and the world.

Kevin Williamson IS a conservative writer, no quote marks needed. If you have ever read anything by him, this is obvious. It is true that he is not a fan of President Trump, but President Trump is not a conservative. If Kevin Williamson is hated equally by the alt-right, and the Progressives, that says something good about him, in my opinion. If you really want to understand his firing, read this: https://www.nationalreview.com/g-file/kevin-williamson-thought-criminal/?utm_source=Sailthru&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=180406_GFile&utm_term=GFile

Whether Williamson is a conservative or whether Trump is, is irrelevant. If the guy wants to be an editorialist let him say so and loose his opinions freely; nobody cares because everybody has one.

But if he aspires to be a journalist he will have to learn that labels don’t apply to Trump or to the movement that hired him. It’s a brave new world; shut up and document it.

News item: Sen. Dick (Dumbass) Durbin has returned from Venezuela. You may have heard of that place, a once-prosperous country with a market-based economy. Now it is, to put it bluntly, a sewer full of people starving to death. Maduro is responsible for the entire mess.

So Dickiebird returns from his trip, appalled at what he found there, which is NOT news to any of us that were paying attention all, and moaned about the numbers of people fleeing the country. Well, what other choices do they have, Dickiebird? Starvation, homelessness, no way to get back on their feet… you idiot.

Dickiebird may have had his little squinty eyes opened to the reality that is so-called “liberalism’ and its dangers, or maybe not. He is stupid enough to demand that the US send food and medical help down there, and you and I all know where it will NOT go, right? Keep an eye out for this.

Well, boys and girls, as I found in looking for a biography of Ernie Hemingway, when you’ve been snookered by the Commies, the wake-up call can be painful… very painful.

We must be watchful at all times, for if we are not – if we assume that we are safe – they will continue their effort to try to destroy us.

I will leave you with my family motto: Vigila et ora.
