You know that two of them are packing.

I’d say all three are loaded for bear……

        In my best Impresario Voice:

“In this corner, Agent Smith, the Incompetent,

ANNNND… in this corner we have Naomi, Warrior Princess; Zed, Ace of Spades; Sam, Q, Scotty, and McGiver in better packaging; Alpha, Beta, Travis, Tabasco, the Sheriff…”

In real life there are no Unsportsmanlike Conduct, Piling On, or Unnecessary Roughness penalties. In war, if you ain’t cheating, you ain’t trying.

One could almost feel a slight twinge of sympathy for Agent Smith, as in: “You who are about to die (or at least get the Atomic Wedgie of the Century), we salute you!”

I wonder if the waistband of his “whitey tighties” will reach over his head and back down over the toes of his shoes.

I have visions of the fight scene in “The Quiet Man” between John Wayne and Victor McLaglen, except that it will be extremely one-sided and no one will be offering Agent Smith a drink.

I have to entertain the notion that Agent Smith has beaten his programming and may be looking to get in with the good guys. I know, a forlorn hope, but hope does spring eternal.

It could be he’s looking to get away from his bosses; he could have been given a set of orders he finally couldn’t tolerate.
OTOH, he could be stuffed in the trunk of the car.

Interesting concept. Makes one wonder if the DD is being setup for a fall.
Imagine: Can’t find Smith anywhere on the loose, finally Zed gets to opening the car, pops the trunk, there’s Smith, colder than a three day old mackerel. Suddenly, lights and agents are everywhere, “GOTCHA, yer under arrest for murder”.
Wouldn’t put it past the FIBbies, to murder one of their own, a clumsy small fish, in order to “put away” a troublesome bigger fish.
Tread carefully, all ye denizens of the DD.

Interesting song the girls are singing. I don’t know it, but I like the lyrics. What is it? Who does it?

Inner City Blues, Marvin Gaye, 1971

      Very appropriate, it seems.

Think real blues can’t be contemporary? Just listen to this…esp. the soft bongo lead-in and the very bluesy horn and drums at the end…listen it through.

        https://www.bing.com/search?q=youtube+inner+city+gaye&form=EDNTHT&mkt=en-us&httpsmsn=1&refig=9106ce3433a24a6d95fa791dbdcbcff9&PC=HCTS&sp=-1&ghc=1&pq=youtube+inner+city+gaye&sc=1-23&qs=n&sk=&cvid=9106ce3433a24a6d95fa791dbdcbcff9

Replace those images with stressed-out ragged-out businessmen, working families or retirees and change the name to American Blues, and that beautiful haunting song becomes an anthem for those of us on the overworked overtaxed rolls.

Chris, even though you can only write in a few obscure lines I think you know this gallery will recognize it and seek it out…what an awesome and inspired detail telling the story of the lives of the inhabitants of DBD, and our own. And mellow, evocative Marvin Gaye singing the blues; from 1971…but as appropriate for now as for then.

Note the difference in the words though?

The Graces sing it as “Spend it all have nots” while that youtube link with 14 million views has the lyric “Spend it on the have-nots”. I like the latter and think that’s what our girls meant, I can hear them breathy and bluesy, skipping the word “on”. Fits our demographic very well too as does much of the lyric story.

I didn’t know that Travis could tickle the ivories. Also what is the half life of a Federal Agent on the ranch? Asking for a friend.

Oh Travis, too bad you can’t pull an Agent Medina (before she cleaned up her act) and shove Smith into a trunk to cook for three days with some illegal white powder up his nose. Do you think he would see the error of his ways?

Or does Smith have a hard boned hankerin’ for one of the Three Graces…

Smith may have a hankering for the Three Graces, but a hankering is as far as he’s going to get.
Just like the Playboy Clubs of old, Lookee, but no touchee. Otherwise there will be consequences — drawing back a broken and bloody stump, an extra “acupuncture”, being tossed with the bull (btw, where IS Tabasco?).
