That’s one way to accomplish three things at once: show off your firepower, get rid of a crapton load of overwhelming gubberment regulations, and start a fire for the DDQ BBQ.

An efficient use of time and materials.

As someone mentioned on yesterday’s DBD, the hard work is just begun. The leftards will be doubling down with the nastiness. We can’t let up and we must keep destroying their rhetoric. Meme wars redux.

      • January 1, 2017 at 3:45 pm

Ol’ South was a real place in Clewiston FL just an hour and a half from Sebring where I am now, and it WAS good if a little hokie. Had those Burma-shave esque ditties for miles up and down US 27…maybe not exactly like mine. 😉

I think NYIAC said he remembers them too, like me he is/was a child of 60’s Flarduh. Place burned down several years ago unfortunately…I didn’t know about that until fairly recently.

But I’ve got a friend who has won the local BBQ cook off a couple times, calls himself the Ribmaster, so I will definitely get you fat ‘n happy when you come. (Not like that Dirty Girl, I want to see what ’17 brings without getting either the Bobbit Bob in my sleep; wifey is a sweetie but she don’t play no shit…nor as I know, do you).

But come on down! We’ll get NotYet too and maybe Chris if he will, and any other DBDeplorables who are close enough to get together for some good chat and chow.

        Ol’ South BBQ Ranch.
Yup. Clewiston. Whenever we could convince the parents to stop on the drive to Lake Placid we stopped and ate. With 6 kids it was not cheap. It was right there on the South side of the road in Clewiston on US 27 about halfway to our lake house on Lake June in the Winter in Lake Placid, Florida.
        Real good BBQ.

Ole South BBQ Ranch used Cypress knees and cypress logs as the signs.
They were not normal signs. Each sign was different and was a work of folk art. The cypress wood lasted for decades.

Ah, the mighty Frag-12 12 gauge grenade round. USMC’s been eyeballing them since at least 2005, as this document shows:

I recall first hearing about them watching “Future Weapons” on Discovery Channel. The former SEAL host was a hoot, with his Shatner-esque line delivery.

    HAPPY NEW YEAR!

And real hope and real positive change is back again. Happy days will rule again. Ooops. almost broke into Happy Days are Here Again. 🙂

Should the globalists move against DJT, he should be sheltered by the military and at the appropriate time take the oath of office and take Constitutional command of the position of President.
I have just heard too many Democrats say that a Republican President would never relinquish power at the end of his term to not consider that the Democrats do what they accuse others of doing.
Obama’s action show how much the removal of funding by government of leftist institutions and the people in them is needed. That cuts across all of the USA. Back to productive labor rather than paid indoctrination personnel.

Those not super obvious must be ready to go into three person (PC for old inclusive word man) cells and disseminate information. TThere are basic rules for that.
    Boy! Am I a doomer?

And may people in local power positions such as sheriffs do their historical duty as they have done for many centuries when they are good people of the people and for the people.

    Is that happy enough, yet?

    • January 1, 2017 at 11:42 am

That globalists are (and have been) moving against DT and all that he represents (that would be us) is a given.

As always it is the enemy within that is (and has been) doing the most damage. McCan’t spent his New Year’s doing his best to foment war with Russia. I think the Rinos and the Dims (leftists all) are really worried that the two greatest powers on Earth are now headed by smart Pragmatics who (finally) see that the best chance to defeat those globalists (really just advocates for worldwide jihad) is a joint “trust but verify” system working together for the survival and advancement of mankind…and it scares ’em.

The good thing is, both men recognize the threats from within and from without and are already mobilizing to defeat them. And let’s not forget the strength and resolve of Israel as a base right in the backyard of the beast. The Trump/Pootie/Bibi triumvirate; who’da thunk it?

Anybody know where (or even IF) a body could buy a couple of those fin-stabilized rounds? Watching Taofliedermaus play, it would appear that fin stabilization won’t work at close range. looks like it takes a few feet for the fins to deploy and begin to stabilize the round. It also would appear that using a small spring to deploy the fins might not be a bad idea.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!!!! Don’t know ’bout you folks, but I am really HOPE-ful that we will see some genuine CHANGE for the better soon. If not, there’s always 2020. At least we can all hope for a reduction if not outright cessation of things going into the shitter they way they have been.

  • January 1, 2017 at 11:58 am

That Kel Tec is one badass little bullpup…thirteen rounds of 12 ga can really cause a ruckus! Prob’ly not what Uncle Joe envisioned when he said (in his ignorant little diatrible against AR’s for home defense)…”Get a shotgun, get a double barrel shotgun…” 🙂

Not expensive (under 700) But like most funs they are subject to the careless doing things like festooning with gingerbread which can cause injury if not done right, to wit:

    Warning, graphic:

    http://gunwriter.wpengine.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/KelTec-injury.jpg

So herewith is my suggestion as the only fed warning/regulation needed when you playing with or using lethal toys: “KNOW THE RULES, HAVE FUN, BE CAREFUL”

      Old Codger

If I were on the jury hearing the lawsuit against Kel-Tec and ProMag, I would be utterly disinclined to award this guy anything if he had health insurance. Injuries like that are the Universe’s way of telling us we screwed the pooch royally. Here is a pic of the configuration the KSG was in at the time of the injury:
      http://gunwriter.wpengine.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/ksg.jpeg

Handgrips like that are fine for steadying the barrel of a rifle but they are not built to be a lever to rack the slide of a pump SG. According to the accident report, the user was operating in “rapid fire” mode when the ProMag handle broke off whereupon the hand continued forward and wound up catching part of the muzzle blast.

Here is a pic of the hand now:
      http://gunwriter.wpengine.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/keltec-injury-fixed.jpg

HAPPY NEW YEAR to all here enjoying DBD! Chris, my thanks for years of laughter and enjoyment. To my fellow readers (and wannabe patrons of DDQ) it’s encouraging to know there are many more “deplorables” across these United States holding the same values as myself.
Epador, knowing Sam and Zed,s “deplorable” mindset (and mine! ;-)) I’d say 3″ magnum flechette loads. Use the FRAG-12 rounds to kill the vehicle and the flechettes to shred any resistance. Either round would also defeat any armored cyotes: flechettes for soft armor and FRAG-12s for those having hard on. (Sorry…like hell! That’s what I’d be packing after that double tap!). Now if you’ll excuse me, thinking of Sam, the DDQ women and the KSG loaded with FRAG-12 and flechette rounds, I need to change. 😉

Also, progressives progress their agenda by filing law suits with the cooperation of the federal agencies or other agencies and they have a consent agreement already planned that loses the position for the progressive control.

These consent agreements need to be repudiated.

The DOJ and the Democrats cut off the GOP’s balls back in 1982 or 1992 when the GOP signed a consent agreement for some local bad actors, maybe put up to it.
During the Trump campaign they became a problem. The consent limited the GOP in basic voter check actions. Roger Stone also ran into these problems in his efforts. lawsuits were also filed against him that he won. The GOP people locally turned tail back when i would talk with them about the need to end those restrictions.
Classical Hegelian dialectic. Set up the problem and then get the solution you desire that is already planned and ready.

No need for a vote of the people or of a legislature when they do that court fraud.

Think of how many small marginal businesses that provided employment to a few people and jobs and independence were closed duee to such things as required renovations to bathrooms and aisle size in warehouses due to regulations. These were businesses that could have remained marginal and producing jobs and production for many more years.
Everything has to be at the state mandated level per government force. Prices rise. The common wealth lowers. People lose jobs. More welfare taken from other taxpayers today or in future generations by bonds. And more such destruction of this civilization.

Chili odor was a public nuisance.
Lakeland said that a weed growing by a cable box (on or off the property) was a public nuisance requiring a approx $400 plus lot clearing charge. May they all rot ion hell is the nicest thing that I can say about them. This occurred even after I thought that we had agreed to a truce.
Trump had his $5000 a day fine for a non conforming flag display, and the ~$8000 for replanting a hedge shorter than the original hedge.
Progressives will go after anyone and everyone not them. Trump maintained the assets to go against them. This means that I will never have anything positive to do or say about with Lakeland again.
        They broke the truce.

This comment from Ace’s place http://ace.mu.nu/ explains what I think many of us were trying to put into words.

Let me start this in the literary sense and then segue also into Thanksgiving.

I love Tolkien’s work. As I get older, I appreciate it more and more for its themes and ideas. As I learn more about Tolkien’s life, it becomes more breathtaking in the way it shows the kind of man he was.

Before the Jackson movies, the scene that always grabbed be in the books was the Battle of the Pelenor Fields. It was best typified in the Rankin Bass animated movie from umpteen years ago. That sense of defeat. That heavy weight of evil settling over the land. The despair on every face. The sight of Gandalf sitting his horse as the men of Gondor ran for their lives. One man against the tide, knowing he would fail, but standing still. You knew he was doomed. There was no hope.

Then somewhere in the darkness, a cock crowed. Speaking not of war, death , and despair, but of the dawn. And a single ray of light pierces the darkness.

And then the Riders come like the fist of an angry God.

Jackson’s version lacked that simplicity, that feeling, for me.

How this ties into today and what I feel thankful for is obvious. We all know the general feeling we have had these past 8 years. And I am not saying that Trump is in any way a savior or God sent. I am saying in the past few days, it has been amazing that the feeling of hope has seemed to have pierced the blanket. Trump is not the savior.

But I will buy that he is that rooster crowing.

      Very good find.

All of us standing at the wall who will either win or end our days where we stand as there is no where else to go to win over the enemy appreciate both his sentiments and all of our sentiments.
Trump is one on our side making our defeat a lesser possibility, and he is joining us in our fight for victory over what is obviously evil. Trump is here because of all of us across the nation heard someone stand up who was not part of that evil two headed beast. He rallied many more who always rally to what they feel is a good cause.
There are so many more besides Trump willing to step up who have been crushed every time they spoke. Some of those who step up will survive the attacks now.
We have hope. (not your hope Michelle. We have hope for responsibility and work at what people desire to do.)

We have change. The change people were conned that Obama was bringing.
