    “Ground pounder”

Why does that make a Whopper come to mind? 🙂

      Anatoly was the pounder.
      In general, a ground pounding.

No clue. I don’t know the story. Whoever wins someone will want me to be in a camp.

I just praised the decision of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg. That decision shows that sometimes we all do get along. Civil Forfeiture has been very egregious activity in our nation.

OT but topical, referring back to NYIAC’s late comment and my followup in reference to the correct (and unanimous!) SCOTUS ruling on unreasonable search and seizure, with opinion authored by RBG…

“Is there poetry in justice? There is, and sometimes irony too.

In her writing for the court and its unanimous ruling written by Ginsburg, McDonald v. Chicago is appropriately cited multiple times to reinforce provisions and precedents.

That right there might just bite that bitch in her gnarly wrinkled old ass sometime soon. Even the smartest of socialists sometimes miss the potential of the rule of unintended consequences and end up strengthening that which they abhor in the course of arguing for that which they embrace. Heh.”

    And now we have this:

    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/washington-state-at-least-20-county-sheriffs-refuse-to-enforce-new-gun-laws/ar-BBTWfPg?li=BBnbfcL&ocid=mailsignout

Even the blueest of states (including Cali!) by vote count actually are mostly inhabited by real and reasonable people as these sheriff’s illustrate. All is not lost, unless the obstructionist hatred of everything America by leftists is allowed to run amok.

May God and Deplorables continue their holy alliance and prevail over evil.

A classic example of Tyranny of the Majority.
The city dwellers, who cannot be civil to each other or to the rest of the state for that matter, demand gun control. This is the reason why laws must be crafted and enforced to fit local conditions, or at least as local as can be practiced.
DJT won his election precisely because the Founders recognized this reality and instituted it through the Electoral College.
The greatest threat to civilization is Group Think and the massive abuse it enables.

      https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/washington-secrets/gallup-liberals-outnumber-conservatives-in-only-6-states-down-from-9

Now if only we had actual real conservatives running, instead of the typical blackmailed pseudo-conservatives put forth in sheep’s clothing to appear to the American people that they are like the American people. That is until a very important vote reaches them.

An unconstitutional law is null and void and is unenforceable. It sure makes for interesting times.

And another excessive fnes application that I can think of is the enforcement of code enforcement fines in the massive amounts they engage in in many jurisdictions. An example is one plant (alleged weed) over the height of a milk bottle (12 inches) can bring about fines and the dispatch of a jurisdiction hired contractor to abate the public nuisance of the 14 inch alleged weed. Code enforcement just became a massive target, because they made so made people targets to excessive disproportionate fines and harassment and unusual punishment that did not fit the action the property owner had allegedly done. Remember that guy living in Palm Beach who had an oversize flag and flagpole. and the non-identical hedge that was planted where a previous hedge had to be torn down? I thibk that they guy was familiar to many of us.

Go sheriffs. You are doing your job by opposing unconstitutional laws.

        @NotYet…

In light of the “unconstititutional taking” ruling and the sheriff bit, any viability to a chat with Judd over the weed issue (no y’all not that kind of weed)? Not a big fan of the overblown cornpone, but he def. is conservatively and constitutionally guided. Worth a shot?
