Methinks he just showed Mari his true colors via Jo’s impersonation of Mari. Which means the Caddie outside is probably Jeff in disguise.

Actually, my first thought was that it is actually The Real Mari, in league with Kiko, drawing out Evil Wick’s wick… er, wicked plan. Jo is outside, masquerading as the Caddy, for backup muscle if needed.

Of course, I could be wrong. Frequently have been, even on less torturous plots than this one.

So, he might be redeemable after all?
Possibly, but I still trust him only as far as I can throw him over my left shoulder with my right arm.

If he’s trying to con Mari, expect Jo and Jeff to do some rearranging.

People can reform, but they have to realize the error of their ways first. He clearly hasn’t, if he thinks Mari will ever “do bidness,” particularly against her family. “Two of a kind” my foot.

After hearing her parents go at it night after night, Mari wants the bad boy badly. She tells Kiko all about it. The parents meet the bad boy who is running a scam just next to the ranch. So the parents with Jo and or Jeff’s help run an undercover operation to expose the bad boy’s intentions. Bad Boy admits to who he thinks is Mari his intentions of having her betray her parents. To be continued.

Unlike the real John Wick, I don’t think there will be a sequel for this character. He deserves to be set up just like this for a humiliating and painful fall. FAFO.

This guys needs to go. The last panel lends hope that his goals are not to be met. Perhaps he can go establish a Cuban safe-haven for sanctions-busting oil tankers. Oh, wait . . .

      If whole.
I can think of no reason Jo can’t subdivide, with one part hollowed out to a more realistic weight and another being that handset the real Mari is holding.

What if she fills an interior cavity with Helium? Or for more, ah, emphatic effect, Hydrogen? Nothing like lap candy breathing fire in your mouth to ruin a perfectly good friendship.

On second thought, probably not. It’d be impossible for the amount of H/He you could get into a Mari-sized package to lift 2/3rds of 375 lbs.

So I’m going with Real Mari in a plan to trap/expose Evil Wick. Or maybe Jo the Cadillac outside is listening in and re-broadcasting to Kiko, who is spying on naive sister Mari. Or possibly Mom and/or Dad have planted a bug on Mari and Kiko is receiving the transmission also.

Of course, since Mari was packing heat, she was already ready for SOME kind of trouble, so it seems likely that she was/is in on the plan, although which plan she was ready for is not exactly clear…

My head already hurts and it’s still midmorning…

The last time I remember that “we’re two of a kind” line was Tomb Raider 2, and it did not end well for the male.

Now Jo can stop supporting herself and break his legs. 😉

Have we actually seen that Jo and Jeff are on the job or is it all speculation from the peanut gallery?

And if the bots are working it, isn’t Javier involved too? I mean he envisioned himself with Mari right? He could sure engineer some twists and turns here to make that more likely…

I don’t bother trying to speculate plot lines. I suck at it. My late wife could have most films figured out within the first 10-15 minutes. I’m just a body sitting there, just taking in what I’m told. Probably why I enjoyed ‘The Sixth Sense’.

If “Mari” is indeed Jo, John telling is peons to “have a go” would have REALLY been a spectacular fail. There might not have even been enough left to satisfy Zed.

And does that mean Travis’ last name is actually Mustard?
