Methinks he just showed Mari his true colors via Jo’s impersonation of Mari. Which means the Caddie outside is probably Jeff in disguise.

People can reform, but they have to realize the error of their ways first. He clearly hasn’t, if he thinks Mari will ever “do bidness,” particularly against her family. “Two of a kind” my foot.
Mari wanted the Bad Boy but it seems her parents did an end run to save her. Well played!
