    Too Tall

A beautiful blond, a Stetson, a beautiful redhead, a wrench, a legendary automobile engine with a carburetor, and a handgun, It doesn’t get any more American than that.

There is a country western song in there somewhere.

I would be remiss if I did not mention this site.

Big block Ford. Is that going in the “old” Ford Pickem-up?
Could possibly be big block Dodge, but I don’t think so.
Y’all can argue about what revolver she has.

    • October 18, 2021 at 10:40 am

      looks like a 440 Mopar

      • October 18, 2021 at 11:58 am

        “Reconverted lawnmower motor…”

Right year and a 440 but at least Sam’s ain’t Plum Crazy Purple!

      • October 18, 2021 at 5:57 pm

OK. My main thought was they have an old Ford truck. Don’t remember any thing that the Mopar was from/is for. But Years ago i would have got it into that Ford.
Put In a few highly wooped up 460’s in old Fords.

      • October 18, 2021 at 6:38 pm

Sam’s sweet green (Sassy Grass?) Challenger is around there somewhere, and like I said up there, seems like it is a ‘70? Where’s that curator of The DBD when you need him?

      • October 18, 2021 at 6:44 pm
        Chris Muir

White 70 Challenger, totaled green 69 Charger.

      • October 20, 2021 at 1:12 am

silly me, I thought it was a .38 special.

  • October 18, 2021 at 12:32 am

A wrench. A gun. A hand. All tools.
Most critical one is the last one.

How bad is it in A-Stan? Pretty bad, but unlike most oppressed peoples they still have their guns. And therefore they still exist. Somewhat. For centuries. Make of that what you will.

    • October 18, 2021 at 9:37 am

It was only a few days after the fall when I saw ONE report of Taliban going Democrat and going door to door confiscating private guns. Media dropped it like a hot iron because the optics hit a little too close to home.

      • October 18, 2021 at 11:02 pm

Only the “correct” people are allowed guns in tyrannies. Ask people like Senator Feinstein and her ilk.
Death by government shown in website.

  • October 18, 2021 at 12:33 am

Looks to be a top break, so I’ll go with Webley. There’s others…

    • October 18, 2021 at 9:46 am

That would explain the “klank klank” as it was cocked.

      • October 18, 2021 at 12:58 pm

I think the klanking is from the eight cylinder not the six…point taken on the Webley though.

  • October 18, 2021 at 1:28 am

Why is the revolver cocked, Sam? You fixin’ to shoot into the air and yee haw?

    • October 18, 2021 at 3:20 am
      Bill G

It could be she cocked it to let that sound bring Mia’s attention to the gun’s presence. “Yeah, the men have guns … cl-cl-click … so do we.”
      Quite a strong emphasis.

Or she is preparing to knock a turkey loose from the rafters.

  • October 18, 2021 at 5:04 am

Better get to know that discarded child a lot better before she has access to firearms. Never know what she might “misunderstand” or “revert” to. Looks like there are still some questions of how she was brought up anf by who.

And, of course, what happened to the “real” family member? The name tag might have been dropped by some very deranged people hoping to have a “guided” weapon for some time in the future.

But then I’m a big block Mopar fan…. and a woman with big guns ( bigguns ).

Be not afraid of any man,
    No matter what his size;
When danger threatens, call on me
    And I will equalize.

    – Inscription on Winchester rifle

Be not afraid of any man
    Who walks beneath the skies,
For be he tall or be he strong,
    I will equalize.

    – Inscription on Colt handgun, attributed to Samuel Colt

    • October 18, 2021 at 12:51 pm

Always preferred the straight and true,

“God made men, Colt made ‘em equal.”

  • October 18, 2021 at 11:52 am

Where was Sam hiding that short barrel blued .22?

  • October 18, 2021 at 12:13 pm

There was a time I thought maybe here’s a black dude capable of critical and independent thoughts and actions, pragmatic in the style of Reagan, maybe even capable of being the first black prez.

But then the first “black” president got dropped on his head and that was the only criteria that mattered. Not the First RINO, we know who that was. Not the second or third either but he is up there, and he sure showed his “true color” then didn’t he? And absolutely on the cutting edge of Woke…and the beginning of the end.

    C. Powell has died at 84…complications of covid of course.

    • October 18, 2021 at 2:58 pm
      Dastardly Dan

He died from Multiple Mylenoma and Parkinsons. If he had Covid, it was a complication, not a cause.

But he’ll still be voting Democrat!

      • October 18, 2021 at 3:47 pm

The ‘vaccine’ kills off your B cells that keep your inherent conditions in check. Note the huge boom in cancers and MS that individuals had in remission re-emerging all over the nation.

        Dastardly Dan

Well, if this whole thing is about depopulation, as some believe, it is effective. If the virus don’t git ya, then the vaccine will!

That can’t be a Mopar big block, the distributor would be leaned over at around a 45 degree angle to the left if there showing the front of the engine in the picture.

    • October 19, 2021 at 9:38 pm
      Old Jack

Correct. I had a 400 CID Dodge. The distributor was on top leaning left.
