    Go, AG Barr, go!

At least now with the internet we can get the truth out as needed. I just followed a link to an AP tweet on the Alabama life-saving law. I noticed the AP’s main Twitter page top shows the herding of sheep through a city. Is that honesty or what?

I think they are just more apt to complain about it. Always be a victim!
The next step for them is to do exactly that about the Russia Conspiracy they were running. “Oh heavens, we were fooled by the Russians, oh mercy me!” Hopefully it won’t work, but it has in the past.

      Eon’s Laws

      Sixteenth Law

You can always spot a would-be tyrant, of any stripe. They consider themselves invaluable and everybody else expendable.

When Nero committed suicide before his guards could cut his throat for him, his last words were “What a great artist the world is losing!”

Hillary would no more “deprive” the world of Her Superior Self than The One would.

And when either one reaches the end of their natural duration, they will do whatever they can to resist the end no matter who else pays the price. Not out of a natural desire for life, but due to a refusal to acknowledge that they really are not deities.

    As I just pointed out to some friends;
I would pray for universal justice in the world, but for the wrath such justice would unleash against me. And if justice isn’t universal, it would be failed justice.

So can I hide behind Jesus and THEN pray for justice? I think that might make me something of a hypocrite.

So can I pray for the salvation of others? Probably, so long as I’m spreading the true Gospels, otherwise I’d be something of a hypocrite.

I note, likewise, that the Lord’s Prayer is a collective one; “OUR Father…give US…OUR daily bread..forgive US OUR trespasses as WE forgive THOSE who trespass against US. Lead US…deliver US from evil!

Many would attempt to argue that it supports socialism or communism, but they’d be horribly mistaken or misled in thinking so. The scriptures are all about liberty, from front to back and back to front, and eternal life, whereas the various socialistic forms of government, and the corrupted religions, are all about coercion, and mortality. The proper collective aspect to all this is that God loves his children and doesn’t want to lose any of them, although He knows that some will be lost as they refuse the freely-given, undeserved gift of the Savior.

Those of you with children will understand. You do everything possible for your children, and some of them refuse to be helped. Even those sorriest and saddest of cases would be welcomed back with open arms, joyfully, like The Prodigal Son, and yet some continue to refuse. Nothing is more heartbreaking for a parent than to lose a child.

Maybe that’s why humans are given the power to procreate; it’s to teach us the hard lessons, to better understand God, and His love and His wishes for His wayward children.

    • May 16, 2019 at 3:16 am

“I would pray for universal justice in the world”

And right away you have missed the most important aspect of this life, that in this life there is no universal justice, no universal fairness, nor is there meant to be. To each is given challenges. We are born with different abilities, different disabilities, into different situations. Here we moan if we haven’t worked in months, elsewhere you would starve if too ill for scavenging your food. Here you are anguishing about being a real Christian, elsewhere people are being executed simply for being Christians.

We each have our own paths, unique in their own ways. What matters is how we comport ourselves, that we try to be better and deal fairly with others, and admit our wrongs and honestly ask for forgiveness. But universal justice was never meant for this life, nor should it be, as inequality drives us to seek improvement.

      • May 16, 2019 at 7:46 am

Hear here! But there were other very good points also.
I’m not a parent, but always figured it was a good thing I was not God.
What was that? Everyone can be saved if I sacrifice my child?
        Ha! Bub-bye now!

Doc Savage and his team were guided a simple creed, created by writer Lester Dent:

Let me strive every moment of my life, to make myself better and better,
to the best of my ability, that all may profit by it.
Let me think of the right and lend all my assistance to those who need it,
with no regard for anything but justice.
Let me take what comes with a smile, without loss of courage.
Let me be considerate of my country, of my fellow citizens and my associates in everything I say and do.
Let me do right to all, and wrong no man.

Lester Dent maintained that he didn’t really create it. He said his main inspiration was the Sermon on the Mount.

The Universe we observe has precisely the properties we should expect if there is ,at bottom , no design, no purpose, no evil, no good, nothing but blind pitiless indifference. “ Richard Dawkins, “ River Out Of Eden “

    A wonderful two edge sword.

That Universe when modified by a few evolutionary imperatives is a pretty good description of Homo sapiens condition on Earth
Those simple imperatives are, self-interest/get more genes into the next generation and you can’t go it alone/you need other Homo sapiens to survive.

Given those parameters you have a working description of life one Earth, with all its wild, weirdness and wonderfulness. That pitiless Universe hasn’t checked in to give us a report card lately.

A cloud shaped like Jesus appeared in the sky over Argentina. People took pictures of it. Not spooky unless you are a very, very baa-a-a-a-ad person. People were muttering “We need him! We need him now!”

Nietsche said “God is dead” a while back.

    God’s response: “Nietsche is dead.”

    Have a nice day.

Friedrich Nietzsche is highly underrated, the closest thing to an Old Testament prophet we’ve seen in over 2000 years (and notice that excludes The Pedophile). His “God is Dead” quote was an observation of how science would affect too many people and went on to predict that the loss of Heaven in the next life would drive too many to attempt to create one in this life.
I say prophet because he went on to predict that the attempts to create Utopia would result in the murders of a hundred million people in the next century.
He was right, in fact damn near dead accurate.
His own insight drove him to nihilism, which he later cured himself of, and declared it “a disease of the mind”.
We should reflect on our own mental condition, and especially that of our youth, in our new scientific world, since nihilism and the resultant devaluation of human life is almost always the root cause of mass murder, especially in the case of school shootings.

My wish is for Cankles and Billy Jeff to be carted through every large city in a horse drawn wagon while locked up in chains of gold. (Oh the irony, it burns) So the people can see who has been usurping their rights as citizens. The rest of the cabal characters get dragged behind in barbed wire ropes till their bodies rot away.

Hillary may be in danger from her own creation. With the fall of the Clinton Foundation as wealthy donors fled, the Clintons can no longer afford their high life style, nor employ their entourage. They’re on a huckster tour for any bucks they can scrounge. Consider the mafia history. Capos used hitmen to rid themselves of enemies. When the law closed in and revenue dropped, the capos panicked and rid themselves of the evidence, including hitmen, who might turn states evidence. Hitmen, in turn, to protect themselves went after the capos.

What is love? Total, complete, and selfless sacrifice.

God sacrificed his Son for us and taught us that lesson.

I and my four siblings are so fortunate to have had parents who knew it and lived it and passed that love on so we could live it ourselves and pass it on to our own children. They were not perfect like the Father, but I can say this; there was never a moment in my life that I doubted their perfect love for me and that they would sacrifice their own life to save mine without doubt or hesitation. I too am far from perfect but if I have instilled that same perfect love and knowledge in my children then I can say I too was a success as a person and a parent and that God will welcome me Home when the time comes.

The time came for my Mom who died this morning. She was 86, ill and in a nursing home since a fall two years ago. She was ready to go and knew the legacy she left as we all were able to tell her that she gave it to us and left us with that perfect love to pass along. She lives on, in my heart and with God, until we meet again.
