Yeah, it would have been more believable if Sam had claimed Skye found a Unicorn and wanted to keep it as a pet, than that they found TP.

Read an article the other day that said many of the cases had gastrointestinal problems a week before symptoms showed up.

If true, and the toilet paper demand is a leading indicator, it’s a whole lot more widespread than even the alarmomedia is peddling.

If there were enough serious cases out there, everywhere, to need this much buttwipe, the hospitals everywhere would be overwhelmed by now. Someone without enough sense to be rated a damfool who didn’t have the runs started a run, and panic buying began.

Enjoying the Kalifornistan confinement, and embracing The Suck. Allegedly supposed to do snow flurries tonight here (Redlands), won’t that be delightful? SWMBO is NOT IMPRESSED with that forecast.

Been reading how “the media” are in the pocket of the ChiComs, but that seems overly generous and kind. The Handmaidens of Satan are en masse rooting for and doing all they can to facilitate a prolonged worldwide economic collapse, all so they can insert Dementia Joe into the Oval Office and crush MAGA forever. The Enemies of the People are certainly not the Enemies of the Kung Flu. They love the Kung Flu.

Agreed with all but the part about putting SloJo in charge…he is but a semi-useful idiot to the cause, whatever that may be beyond destruction of us and the Republic. But maybe they haven’t thought that far ahead yet.

My present conspiracy theory says TPTB behind Slo Joe will then run the country the way They want. Picture pervert Joe explaining a policy – Oh Wait! Listen to his rambling disconnected blather he puts out now. No one has any idea of what he is talking about.
Perfect to hide the reality they will do. Embarrassing to listen to. The stick in their gears could be Gov. (I donn need no stinkin ventilators. 2015) Cuomo. EX sec. (Kill them All!) Hillary.
Or Ms.(?) (AKA Big Mike) Obama.

Any of the above could be true.
The DNC actually has fiat control of who gets to run for the Democrats. The primaries are technically required but in the end only the Powers That Be will make the decision.
When the Corporate Elites bought the Democratic Party they did it with CCP wage slave money. This above all else explains Orange Man Bad. The Orange Man is truly an existential threat to the entire scheme, but there are some who think the real threat is the one-two punch of Decoupling and the ChiCom virus wrecking the CCP’s hold on China because of their failure to keep the economy soaring ever upward.
On the list of conspiracy theories is the idea that the CCP deliberately released COVID-19 to cover for their already failing economy.
But like with the fall of the Soviet Union we will never know for sure until we get hold of the internal paperwork.

It’s a little hectic now, but when on the other side of this there will be plenty of documentation about who got the panic started and I think they will be held accountable. Perhaps reap the whirlwind UpChuck Schumer had referred to.

Does anyone find it coincidental that many of the tactics being used to “combat” the Kung Flu, the Wuhan virus or whatever you wanna call this mess are playbook authoritarian suppression? Almost have to wonder if someone is doing a test run to see how much of the population folds immediately and how many resist.

It’s not coincidental. It is only indicative of Liberty’s swim against the tide. The Authoritarians are always there to take any and every opportunity.
We took on additional risk when we allowed women’s suffrage. The distaff are naturally in the majority and by the dictates of child rearing often become full blown and unapologetic authoritarians even in later life.
Eternal vigilance is the price of Liberty.

The math is simple: who benefits from Trump’s roaring economy being shot down by a viral panic, right after the spectacular failures of Coup Fake Dossier-Russia, Coup Ukraine-Fake Impeachment, and as 1. Demented Corn Pop threatens to secure the socialist(D) nomination, and 2. minorities and independents were drifting steadily toward MAGA and the Trump rallies were bigger than ever? Desperate people with the TDS-infectiontake desperate measures. They staged the still-going worldwide “Climate Extinction” scare and now they’ve staged this hysteria. The similarities are striking, and the perceived benefits (to the Left) outweigh any cost.

Panic beset the silly socialists up here in the great white north as well…
It’s odd though, I was at the store yesterday and the shelves were mostly all restocked, apparently the supply chain finally caught up with the initial rush and worked as it’s supposed to, although trusting in a ‘just-in-time’ system instead of local warehouses might need some rethinking after this all blows over.
Some items had signs on the shelves stating ‘limit of two packages’, probably the things the store was overstocked on and needed to move.
The fun part was the things that were sold out and the things left…
half-pound boxes of pasta = gone, 2kg bags = full shelves
small cans of pasta sauce=gone, 2litre resealable bottles = all kinds
4litre milk jugs = gone, 4litre bags and 2litre jugs = full coolers
small boxes of cereal = stripped, ‘family size’ boxes = plenty
the only difference was rice…big bags = gone, small boxes = more than enough

if I were limited to two of an item I kind of think I’d be taking the largest size I could get, assuming it was non-perishible and I might need it…
and the day I need the TV to tell me to wipe my arse is the day I start voting liebral

I only regularly visit three or four blogs; one of those is the excellent gunnie oriented link machine and commentary of SayUncle. A young man who has just been visited by personal tragedy that Dims even the ChiCom pestilence by comparison. Visit him there (says uncle.com) if you get a chance to confirm that even in these crazy times life -or in this case death- goes on.

It’s pure political theater of course. Anyone who knows anything about this virus knows there is a huge reservoir of symptom-less carriers out there just waiting to start another surge. This pattern will only subside when enough people have had the virus to cause herd immunity or there is a vaccine or both.
I’m hoping we will go the South Korea route with testing to ease us over the hump and perhaps cut down on deaths and disabilities using drug intervention. If the latter pans out we can get our economy up and running while the ChiComs swirl down the drain.

t’s not just toilet paper of course, but the parallel holds…

Heckuva good email to customers from the prez of Buds Gun Shop. They take some flak due to their size and certain practices but his heartfelt words put the real American Dream. and by extension the American Republic, in focus. I don’t know how to link an email to here so those in the audience here who are not customers and did not get the email can look it up.

Anyway, like with the TP, their shortages are not of guns and ammo but of people and capacity to keep up with -temporary- demand. And while he like me is wont to criticize anyone buying more guns and ammo, he makes the point that those that are just adding to their supply can wait for things to settle while those who have recently been convinced of their mortality not by rising tides or even of these Chinkbugs but by the aftermath; they who were so dismissive of our right to self-protection can now themselves imagine the diseased hungry hordes coming for those comfy McMansions on the other side of town might have their orders of the tools they now see they need delayed and hence denied .

IOW, hording all the cheap AR’s and cases of food for them might jeopardize some of our former enemies. Karma? Maybe, but ease up some on your need to add another case of 9 to the 3 you already have for a while so the newbies can load up…if they’re no longer our enemies at least some of them will ultimately be our allies.

Same for the TP…damn y’all, you can’t fend off the zombies with a roll or even a hundred of Charmin, leave some for the rest of us who are demonstrably full of shit.
