Yes, but it pisses off the Democrats now. It has the pleasure of “rebellion” against the Democrat/Left controlled establishment. And to see it on Sam just magnifies the pleasure.

Granted, I would not support anything that flag first represented. In fact Lincoln banned the display of that flag in the North controlled states and territories.

It is just the backhand Chris is giving to the PC crowd.

Wasn’t the minuscule pieces of cloth on Sam once a flag belonging to the demonrats?Yes, and the Knights of the KKK was formed as the action arm of the same party. Your point? Remember, very few people under age 50 or so are even aware of the DemonKKKRats’ real history – or any real history for that matter – so that flag means exactly what academia and the LSM SAY it means.

Their current action arm wears black, so as to avoid the connection to their previous action arm, which wore white. Just like they demanded that the media assign red instead of blue to the Republican states, so as to avoid the connection to what red has meant for the past 100 years.

    • January 5, 2020 at 2:04 pm

Irrrelevant to being D’s or R’s, the KKK was a reactionary hate group formed and consisting of a few hateful racists in my father’s hometown of Pulaski, TN. at the end of the Civil War. It was a misguided and ignorant response to the crushing of the Confederacy and the genocide of its people, and was only parenthetically related to slavery and the racial inequality that these idiots seized upon.

That it came at a time and in response to the imposition of so-called “reconstruction” (actually an orgy of theft, carpetbagging, and scalawaggery) as punishment for having seceded over the primary issues of the power of states and the rights of people to self-determination, to throw off the control of a centralized government that ignored those rights while lusting for the wealth and productivity of that territory, -and pure and simple fear- explains their formation and existence more than anything else.

But the KKK did not exist was irrelevant to the Confederacy itself and the flag representing it. Those who formed it were seduced by the same lies and cruel convenient misrepresentation of slavery that Lincoln used in spite of his own stated ambivalence towards it. To him it was just a rallying cry to ensure the philosophical and financial support he needed to achieve his true agenda; to maintain control and ownership of financial and territorial assets of the South by whatever means necessary.

Those who for lo these many years and continuing until today, accept the propaganda of the “academia and mass media” as stated above in relation to this history, apparently are willing to repeat the indoctrination, innoculation, and assimilation that those evil orgs have in mind for the complete destruction and replacement of our civilization that we see now, and as Deplorables struggle against every day.

In today’s parlance the secession of the South might be called Sexit, as those same issues are what face us now and cause us to consider a similar but less geographical path to separation and sovereignty.

Nothing has changed in the plans of leftism for the elimination of the rights of people and their private property. And it’s still not about D’s and R’s…it’s about left and right, serfdom and freedom, and the life and death of our free Republic. And whether it happens by an orderly separation and secession or by violence and war that could be called Civil War II we may be close to something very similar to the original, and false narratives and alternative history aside, for very similar reasons.

Back to that flag. It’s just a flag. Like any other flag it was just a symbol of the CSA until it was given other meaning by various groups with various agendas; as with so many words and symbols its meaning was hijacked for purposes of a false narrative of hatred and turned into a true narrative of hatred by the other side. Yes there is a principle there, and Sam displays it beautifully.

      But it’s just a flag.

As far as Virginia, over 90% of the counties have become 2nd Amendment Sanctuary counties. All Gov Coonman had done is put the state in play for 2020. The peasants are pissed.

2018: Iran’s Foreign Minister Threatens to Expose Western Diplomats Who Took Bribes to Create the Iran Nuclear Deal

Ben Rhodes has been very vocal against our taking out Suleimani, many Dems are frantically scrambling to deny funding for a war with Iran. Hillary just took a five-year job in Northern Ireland. John Kerry is slated to be in Iowa Tuesday to support Biden’s “We Know Joe” campaign tour but otherwise appears vanished from news searches. Very mysterious.

America is bracing for the massive Iranian retaliation. First casualty, some allegedly-Iranian group hacked the Federal Depository Library Program website. Which of course is nonsense as skill like that requires Russian hackers, like the ones that broke into Hillary’s email, for which she would punch in the password on her Blackberry while those in the crowd standing near her tried to not look.

UN “blue helmets” and such are less of a threat than they appear.

Fact 1; As Edwin Tunis pointed out in Weapons (1954), when George III hired “Jaeger” riflemen from the Landgrave of Hesse to counter the irregular Colonial riflemen who were shooting his officers off their horses, he got men with rifles, but not actual riflemen. The Landgrave kept his trained troops at home, and sent over fresh conscripts “recruited from the plow” as Tunis put it. Many if not most of them had never even fired any sort of gun in their lives to that point. The Landgrave got the money, George III got stiffed.

Fact 2; As the “blood diamond” wars petered out in West Africa in the last two decades, the “boy soldiers” as seen in the movie aged out and found themselves largely unemployed. Most went back to the villages, but a substantial portion ended up conscripted into the national armies of states like Nigeria, mainly as second-line, reserve, and “domestic security” forces. IOW, half-trained thugs who mainly follow verbal orders because they can’t read or write.

Fact 3; UN “peacekeeping forces” today are mainly drawn from the national armies of Second and Third World countries. Notably West African states like Nigeria.

Those states tend to emulate the Landgrave. When called upon for “peacekeeping” duties, they keep their good troops at home (to keep the peasants under control) and send their “reserve formations” (the half-trained, largely illiterate ex-“boy soldiers”).

As such, this would tend to explain the UN’s insistence on primary English speakers. They want to make sure that at least whoever’s going to be in charge of the detail can read, write, and convey orders understandably, let alone “negotiating”.

The use of such low-quality troops also explains the litany of rapes, theft, drug use and dealing, and etc. that seem to be the SOP of UN “peacekeepers”. They’re just behaving the way they do at home; like a street gang.

So don’t expect some sort of elite formation when UN “blue helmets” show up today. This is reality, not a Jean Claude van Damme/Raul Julia movie named Mortal Combat.

While certainly capable of terrorizing “blue” urban areas, their effectiveness elsewhere generally is considerably lower.

Many of the Hessian soldiers based in the U.S. stayed in the Americas after the revolution. They often joined the German colonists. They were sometimes offered free land and religious tolerance.

By the way, many were “jägers” (from the German for hunter).

We now call such “hunters” Militia!

Hessians were encouraged to settle with German Americans

The US congress sought to tempt these Hessians to desertion with the offer of a 50 acre land grant and the lure of settling down with a large and culturally sympathetic German-American population.

There it is. Freed blacks were only promised 40 acres and got cheated anyway by President Andrew Jackson. More Democrat racism.

        Close, but wrong.

They may have been associated with the Amish, Mennonites, and Moravians by the Quakers and the rest of the WASPs, but those sects were so passionately anti-war, they even refused to grow mustaches (a mark of many German elite regiments).

These were, however, the farm boys, along with the roughneck Irish, who took the measure of the good ol’ boys at places like Antietam and, yes, Gettysburg.
