“Engrams.” Please, Chris, for the love of Xenu, please don’t tease the old Dianetics / Scientologists with this loose-lipped talk of “Engrams.”

Chris may have taken the word “engrams” from Star Trek (TOS) episode ‘The Ultimate Computer’.

People have sexes—and there are only two.

Words (specifically, nouns) have genders. In my long-ago Latin studies (Jesuit High, Tampa—and yes, I attended with Lou Pinella and Ken Suarez, for you MLB fans), we were taught that there are three genders: masculine, feminine, and neuter. The gender assignments always seemed somewhat random to me, but I’ve never claimed to be a Latin scholar. Most of it I learned by rote—particularly the liturgical Latin (I was an alter boy—and no, I was never approached by a pervert priest!).

If one wants to really split hairs on sexes (but not infinitives), eunuch (sp?) and androgyne could be considered. Otherwise you have the right of it.

With the exception of guppies and cockroaches, bi-polar sexuality is the rule on this pretty blue-green marble we call Earth. To borrow from Baron von Richtoffen, “All else is rubbish.” Although I would characterize deviation as the ravings of a lunatic mind.

You have a penis, or you have a vagina. Anything beyond that point is what you choose to do with said unit.

Hermaphrodite. But, even in that, one is dominant. Make babies, or have babies.

What about Dora, on Lazarus Long’s yacht? And Athena, on Tertius?

(Well, OTOH, they weren’t decanted into meat bodies. Pity….)

Have you ever read “To Sail Beyond The Sunset”? Final volume of the Howard Family series. Seemed at the end, all the computer people were flesh and blood and married into the Long Family, including Mike.

Have I ever read it? The question is how many times have I read it? Lost count after 5 or 6… goes for all the middle-late novels, too. Yes, it is implied, flesh and blood Longs one and all. Best career-ending, ever.

I wonder if the LBGTAlphbet gaggle picked 52 as the magic number of imagined genders because of the number of weeks per year?

Sex is hardware…there are objectively two.

Gender is software…they are subectively infinite.

    Diagnosis? Easy enough. Insanity.
