Parochial school. Nuns have a grudge
against something, maybe everything.
Years passed, with my mother stopping
weekly church services after feeling insulted
about a suggested donation amount.
Everything boils down to money.
I have been planning to go to confession
(Catholics know what that is), not to
confess, but to have a Priest explain to
me, why it was necessary, for the son, of
the creator of Heaven and earth, who
created all the people, and animals,
and everything else, to be tortured and
crucified, for the sins of those, he (God)
had created.
There are some excellent minds here,
I imagine someone will have an opinion,
even, if it`s just to tell me to `Take a Hike`.
You’ll need a priest who damn-near a full-fledged theologian, and has a lot of time on his hands or a deep dive on the Internet.
It has to do with the reasons behind Sacrifice to God as a test of faith, starting with the transition from human sacrifice to animals when God stayed the hand of Abraham from killing his only son Issac; thus the reference to Christ as “The Lamb of God.”
The reasoning for the implications this has for Christians is pretty deep but actually should be a major point of `Catechism` (I can attest that Lutherans did not discard the practice with the shift to Protestantism and I fault my own teachers for not going into proper detail here. It’s important.).

Most ‘christians’ could be better described as ‘paulians’. Following the ‘new’ Testament written largely as letters from paul begging for money and prestige over the original ‘super apostles’ as he calls them goes against what Jeshua was preaching in the Temple to those who had also gone against the original Laws to make money and take power for themselves. Paul, a Roman citizen as he so often reminded people arrived in Jerusalem, heard about these preachings and decided to make a little cash for himself but when told the man he needed for that had been killed said “Oh yeah, of course, I met him on the road, just him and me, nobody else, and he told me to take over for him instead of the ones who’d been following him for years.” Nothing else in the ‘new’ Testament was written less than 80 years after the death, just paul (saul)’s epistles which are aimed at turning Jews away from the original Laws, the ones that Jeshua followed himself, so the Romans could have an easier time controlling the Jews…Then Constatine’s wife succumbed to the paulian following and the rest is histry…and so was Rome, ‘hoist by their own petard’ as the dems are finding out can easily happen with their shiny new socialist path.
I am definitely NOT a Paul follower (he was a woman-hater among other things) and what you say has a lot of truth, but isn’t all that a bit harsh?

History and religion itself notwithstanding, we need Israel almost as much as they need us. Doesn’t mean we go around with linked arms and singing kumbaya (or whatever the Yiddish version of an African song is), it just means they are are both the farthest and nearest outpost in the world war against the muzbro, and we of course are their last and final frontier of their existence in the whole world.
Israel is the sole true democracy in the Region. And Jews are closer to Christians ideologically and religiously than the Muslims are. Two good reason for the U.S. to support Israel.

Toon does not mention muslims. Why can people not talk about America and Jewish influence without dragging in muslims? And yes, muslims are our mortal enemies.
Probably because of what is currently happening here in the US. The muslim influence in our elections and in our cities is almost incomprehensible today! New York City has a muslim mayor and other muslims are vying for positions in our government agencies – both states and federal! Currently, the democrat party is almost falling under the muslim influence across the entire country! Congressional membership is under attack from muslim candidates in many states. Fortunately we have a President who is responding to the muslim problem at its point of origin.

Muslims must be officially declared apostate since they have been given the knowledge of the Truth and have refused it. Therefore they and all their possessions, including “mosques” are no longer protected by the 1st Amendment and are subject to taxation and forfeit.
