If GlobalClimateWarmingChange increases heat and drought, then the crap will dry out faster and be less dangerous.

If it increases rainfall leading to torrential downpours and more flooding, then the streets and sidewalks will get washed cleaner more often.

The worse thing is fighting it, even cooling off the planet, as diseases like malaria have had some of their worst outbreaks indoors in cold places like Siberia (the mosquitoes only need a little bit of standing water) and research shows warming won’t make it worse.

So are these die-hard progressives actually self-loathing, as individuals and as a species, and trying to die harder?

No, they want US to die off so they can have a world population that they deem sustainable.

If cold fusion was developed and every home in the world could have its own little nuclear power plant, they’d find some excuse to ban it because they think prosperous people will over breed into a Toflerian nightmare.

      They really hate people.

The problem is, there is no such thing as “cold fusion” any more than there is human-caused (anthropogenic) climate change. You can wish for it to your heart’s content but it isn’t happening. Might as well expect that some activity out around the planet Neptune to affect the sun.

Not “sustainable”… *controllable*. Never forget that. It’s all about control with these people; at their core, they are Feudalists whose fondest wish is to appoint themselves as the new Lords, ruling over their demesnes of disposable Serfs who can be forced to obey their Lords’ whims at the point of a gun.

    Too Tall

Compare and contrast the festivities yesterday on the mall with the 14 trampled, three stabbed, and 36 arrested at the 4th of July fireworks at the Navy Pier in Chicago, IL last night.

Mayor Loti Lightfoot’s Accountability Monday meeting ought to be a real hoot, given that the tally is 6 dead and 36 wounded in shootings over the 4th of July, and they have two more days to go.

Electing Progtard politicians is hazardous to your health.

According to the website Hey Jackass (http://heyjackass.com), as of 9 PM yesterday evening the total body count is: 6 killed, 36 wounded.

That does not include those who were trampled in the post-fireworks stampeded at Chiraq’s Navy Pier. BTW, those who lost their possessions – purses, cellphones, Ids, etc – in the rush and came back to search the next day, were charged again for parking – a flat fee of $28 per day.

Wondering how may visitors to Chiraq are telling their friends and neighbors how wonderful their visit was.

Chryon NBC special report just now, ~12:27AM EST, 7.1 earthquake southern California, 10 miles near Ridgecrest where it hit yesterday, felt in Las Vegas. More NBC news to come.

Two days in a row, same spot, both massive. Who here has been waiting for a sign to evacuate the People’s Republik of Kalifornia?

You are “right on the money,” as they say! Really a twofer if ya think about it.

When I went to college back in the late 70s, before going into the Army (I know, sounds backwards to me too when I think back on it all), I procured a $10,000 student loan for each of my 4 years there. Plus, I worked in the dining halls 6 or 7 days a week earning as much dough as I could to pay my way, including room & board, living in the dorms for entire time. I really don’t know just what has happened to the cost of higher education these days, to include books, room & board, and whatever else is absolutely necessary to get thru the 4 years. Then of course there may be medical school or law school or an MBA or other Masters & maybe a PhD……

Thanks, Capt! Have a great day, my friend!

In the early 1970s I worked for the USGS in earthquake research. Our main focus was movement along the San Andreas Fault, but we made measurements along the Hayward and Garlock faults, and did work at China Lake and the Nevada Test Site.

One of the real interesting sites we checked out was the old 1906 earthquake fault trace location in Roberta Drive in Woodside, California. We had a 100 meter series of surveyor hubs 5 meters apart across the old fault trace. To make a long story short, the fault has been locked up at that location since the earthquake. However, our precise trilateration network across the San Andreas Fault along much of its length to have a regional steady movement of 30 mm a year. But the most interesting thing about Woodside Drive was a redwood stump to the north of the road. It was about 4 ft in diameter. The west side of the stump had split and was moved by the earthquake 3.67 meters to the north of the stump’s east half.

So dividing a movement of 3.67 meters (12 ft) by 30 mm/year gives 122 years of time to create the strain that would cause such a large earthquake. So by extrapolation and freshman logic, my best estimate of the BIG ONE for San Francisco is 1906 + 122 years = year 2028.

I had a few hours before my flight out of SFO back to Alaska in 2013, So I drove to Roberta Drive. The stump is gone, and there are a number of upscale expensive houses built nearly on the old fault trace. Good luck to them.

      Hey Polly Cy,

I am rolling on the floor, laughing with that one!!! The “little” inanities of some of these states, cities wanting to let these people get away with all kinds ill-behavior and crimes, but then turn around and fine the guy that didn’t pick up his dog’s poop within the 25 second rule, or how about this 1: oh, it’s okay to pollute everyone else’s life with your dope smoke practically anywhere, but if you dare now use a vape cig (to be honest, I deplore all kinds of smoking, but I recognize that I am not the only 1 in this world with rights & needs & desires), you will be fined and/or arrested. And the list of inanities goes on & on & on & on.

By-the-way, all you guys and gals who haven’t coughed up a quarter or dollar or more into the once-a-year cookie jar that Chris opens up for us to help in supporting the cause of this magnificent daily breath of life known as DayByDayCartoons, please do so.

I admit I’ve been guilty in putting it off too, since I am hoping to move to North Idaho in the future, and need to save bucks. But, last night I created a PayPal account and dropped my 2 & 3/4’s into Chris’ cookie jar. It really is the right thing to do, I believe. But we all must do what we can in life to the best of our abilities and wherewithal, so look inside yourself and decide what is best for you to do. Thanks, Chris, for all your good hard effort & imagination & sticktoitofness! (Is that even a word?!)

Hey Halley, Back at ya! Happy 6th . . . oops, it is technically now the 7th . . . to you and all the other faithful readers here!

1st thing I do after turning on my computer is dial in to Breitbart’s website. For some reason, I missed that particular article by John Nolte, author and editor-at-large @ Breitbart, this time around. Thank you so much for pointing it out to us here with the web address!

I love reading everything that Nolte writes for Breitbart, even all the movie news that he very artfully and knowledgably writes now & again. (I’m a dyed-in-the-wool movie buff, thinking that the 1930s put out some of the greatest films of all time.) I can only think of 1 thing that Nolte’s topic was about sometime in the past that I disagreed with . . . & I can’t even remember what that was, since everything he writes is so “spot on,” as they say.

      Take a look @ Nolte’s piece

      https://www.breitbart.com/entertainment/2019/07/04/4th-of-july-reminder-that-jim-rockford-is-tvs-greatest-american/

It’s so fantastic how puts it all together to show that James Garner’s character in Rockford is the every-man that American so very much desperately needs right now! Here’s a piece from his article:

“And no one else could have played Jim Rockford. It was tailor-made for Garner, lightning in a bottle, and, yes, the most American television show ever made.

Note how I don’t use the word “patriotic.”

Patriotism is something different, and as much as I love patriotism, I prefer Americanism. There’s a time to salute the flag and a time to teach the world how to be an American, and anyone who wants to know how to be an American, or to be reminded of where you might fall a tad short (this includes myself), need only dive into the any one of those 123 Rockford Files episodes.”

So, Happy 7th to you all, as our Independence Day weekend continues!!!!!
