I hope the critical defense in .40 cal. The round is a little light at 165 grains, but it packs 504 ft-lbs of goodness at the muzzle.

Though I would forgive you for using the Hornady 100 grain short barrel 9 mm in a pocked 9 like the Sig p365, I hope if you’re using a full size 9 that you get either Gold Dot 124 gr +P or the equivalent Federal HST.

    5-6 thousand of Hornady what?

Might want to hold off turning dollars into noise and fun for a while, maintain the reserves, just in case.

My thought too. Hornaday-what-caliber? Whatever, Zed is ready to start reloading. Will the twins help? Hope he has powder enough, and keeps lots and batches separated by bullet weight and powder charge.

Samuel help Zed with the reloading? I think Samuel is small enough to be a powder charge weight.

    Our girls prefer Nosler Ballistic Tips (.224″ x 55 grain) in the 5.56 x 45. Sub-MOA to 300 meters.

        Different frequencies and different realities.

It is just necessary to “Ack” the transmission.

        Or so I was told.

Only 25 per magazine. 30 is hard on the springs.

The 20 was originally designed for 15 as per the USAF spec. The 30 was designed for 25 but some mother’s son at Army Ord found he could force 30 into it.

15 and 25 was always the rule and it still should be.

Not arguing, but “originally designed” AR magazines should be in the antiques bin, but good to know if they need to be used. 😉
And seriously, if they wanted them to hold-5, the follower would have been designed to bottom out sooner, which likely would have improved performance characteristics anyway.
Suggest getting some currently designed mags for full capacity.
        Powder dry! 🙂

I have read in one gun mag or another that new spring metallurgy eliminates the need to “underload” newer magazines, like Magpul Pmags,

      • March 12, 2020 at 11:55 am

I have paid as little as $7 in bulk for P-Mags; I’ll junk a few if needed before I will short them. Which is unlikely as I rotate fully a dozen each loaded and empty mags once or twice a year, never noticed any weakening of springs. Also knowing the company’s history, if we asked they’d probably ship us each a dozen gratis.

Not listening – to the Crown, to the slavers, to the Totalitarians, to the home-grown Commie/Socialist stooges… is why we kept what Liberty and Freedoms we still have. Only six thousand? Yer slippin’, Zed. You know history well enough to buy it cheap and stack it deep, along side the other vicuals against Der Tag….

“Precious Metals” indeed- – – – – -when the defecation hits the air handler, gold and silver will be worth a lot less than lead and brass. With a good supply of ammo, getting the other stuff necessary for survival becomes a lot easier!

‪What’s an AR-14?!? Now that Biden wants to take them away, I want to go out to buy one. Obviously Biden’s brain has gone CornPop!

Listed on eBay, an AR-14 seems to be a model of windshield wiper blade, a decommissioned US Navy auxiliary ship, or a vintage set of acoustic speakers.

So this is what Biden wants to seize?!? You can have my wiper blade when you pry it from my cold dead fingers.

Check out the Palmetto State Armory website- – – – -they’re taking orders for a laser-engraved “AR-14” stripped lower receiver. It’s got a lot of other nice “Quid Pro Joe” quotes engraved on it as well! Be sure to give them the shipping information for your FFL dealer when you make your order.
