But it’s what you do with them that defines you as good or bad. Neanderthal+JTC Dec 07 2021 at 12:27 am Might wanna ask Zed about that, and change the w to a b…related, “-umf-” did Sam have a mouthful? Pretty awesome visuals in that first panel Mr. Muir… John+M. Dec 07 2021 at 12:32 am My first post tonight, on yesterday’s strip, and I get a “too fast” flag! Neat trick when I’m hunting and pecking on a tiny little tablet keypad… Pamela Dec 07 2021 at 12:49 am Reminds me of the old joke where the Girl says She’s Bubbles steveb919 Dec 07 2021 at 3:46 am Sorry never heard it> Paladin Dec 07 2021 at 7:14 am Blowing bubbles…and the Shore Patrol? Too+Tall Dec 07 2021 at 9:14 am Skye, It all depends upon how many houses you drop on your socialist former associates. The score will be kept not by individual houses or even city blocks, but by entire subdivisions. On the other hand, it is a target rich environment. noy+fub Dec 07 2021 at 10:03 am Love those early model Learjets. DogByte6RER Dec 07 2021 at 11:23 am Dementia Joe blows big bubbles, especially when he’s visiting royal family members and other heads of state at globalist conferences aimed at reducing “greenhouse gases.” Dementia Joe also blows a lotta smoke … from the other end. https://nypost.com/2021/11/07/camilla-parker-bowles-keeps-talking-about-biden-fart-at-cop26/ WayneM Dec 07 2021 at 11:32 am For some reason, Skye’s question (good witch vs bad witch) reminds me of an old British comedy sketch… Hands, are we the baddies? https://youtu.be/hn1VxaMEjRU WayneM Dec 07 2021 at 11:33 am Damn it, AutoCorrect… Neanderthal+JTC Dec 07 2021 at 12:27 pm 7 December 80 years past… Lot of comments, thoughts, and assertions about the intent, meaning and purpose of that monstrous and unprovoked attack, and whether it was a real declaration of war… Can’t deny the realness for those innocent men in their bunks that went first to sleep with the fishes and thence in the arms of God…and of course to the psyche of a nation that had only the defense of good and freedom as its cause. Very real for me too; as an elementary school student devouring the shelves of the old schoolhouse on the shore of Lake Okeechobee. Among others, notably “A Boy And His Gun” that book We Were There At Pearl Harbor took me there too on that bright Sunday morning as the protagonist took his new little sailboat for a shakedown run and then was plunged into the unbelievable and horrific destruction that descended around him. I could see it all, and felt it all, and I see it and feel it still. What changes we have wrought and allowed in the 80 years since, and how sad and disappointed the souls of those men -and God too- must be. It is not too late, yet. And while truer words were never spoken than those uttered by FDR that the day would live in infamy, so too will our next days be infamous as our actions, like those of our nation then, determine whether or not our Republic will survive. A state of war exists now as surely as it did then, and in many ways the attacks that this time come from within are more horrendous than the bombs of Pearl and Midway and more leading ultimately to Little Boy. May God help us to achieve victory over these dark forces to continue the promise of our free Republic and live up to the sacrifices and promises of the men at Pearl and thereafter…and may He help us avoid the catastrophic destruction of it by comparable means in order to save it. Pat* Dec 07 2021 at 12:53 pm “Are you a good witch, or a bad witch?” “*I*, sir, am a *magnificent* witch.” cb Dec 07 2021 at 2:37 pm Not to detract from all that ‘Pearl Harbor’ means, thought this an interesting ‘witch’ story: The Night Witches were the first all-female combat unit in modern world history. This is their story. https://ammo.com/articles/night-witches JTC Dec 07 2021 at 5:38 pm Now those were some good witches! I regret to say that I was not aware of their history and their heroism, just incredible. It is tempting to think such could never happen now and of course that may be true, but not because of a lack of like-minded fearless female aviators. I’ve mentioned my beautiful blonde blue-eyed granddaughter Grace who got her private license two years ago at 17 and is now a junior at her strongly Christian and heavily aviation oriented college Southeastern University in Lakeland FL majoring in aviation business. She tells tales of her beloved old C-152 that spent so many hours in that she dubbed the flying soapbox, not far in austerity from those plywood biplanes, and loves VFR night-flying along the gulf coast. She would be first in line to volunteer for such an ironically elite squad…and she wouldn’t be alone; her dorm houses dozens of girls with similar passions and convictions. Papa wouldn’t be too crazy about it but hell it might come to that as our civilization seems to be in de-volutionary tailspin mode, boding a return to off-grid self-sufficiency, a gutted military, and giving new focus and potential to the Constitutional provisions for that necessary militia. Hardly a distraction cb, a great story; thank you for that link and allowing for my typical topical meandering. 😉 markm Dec 07 2021 at 3:56 pm cb: Sabaton has a pretty good video about the night witches on youtube.
