A classic Mother -Daughter conversation not meant to be heard by the men in the family. So where did Chris get his example?

Like with any guns… Lessons, Lessons, Lessons from an experienced trainer! Miss Kiko is going to be just fine, provided she pays attention. I certainly enjoy paying attention to her instructors’ weaponry… 😉

If it’s for pulling her guns on the popo…who ratted her out?

      Do you really think Sam needed a ‘rat’? She’s a mother. They… know… things…

One more thing, factory guns and ammo are ALWAYS prettier than refurbished or reloads. OEM everytime, never accept aftermarket bolt-on accessories.

And mama is right, a properly fitted shoulder rig will delay the decision of inside or outside the waistband carry in later years.

Blackrifle, I pretty stenuously disagree on the OEM vs. aftermarket thing for guns and ammo…it’s all in the parts and pieces and how they are assembled that matters, and some of the most beautiful and excellent quality EBR’s one will ever see or shoot are built with love and skill by those that will shoot them. Same with ammo; reloads do not have to be dingy lead slugs…again, parts and pieces and how they are assembled makes all the difference.

Add to all of that the QC of factory firearms -and ammo- has suffered due to the supply/demand situation of recent years. I’ve seen a lot of bad home-built stuff, and trashed quite a bit of it, due to clear and present danger of its use, but quality and skill is everything.

“…inside or outside the waistband…” doesn’t always have to happen – wifey still carries high and proud at 78. (and she’d give Sam a run for her money in that department)

Wow, thank for reminding me. I never did finish that “graphic novel” (it as coming out in installments, and it just dropped off the edge of the earth for me at one point). I’ll have to go look for it again.

3200 rounds in a RCBS Rockchucker? Damn! That’s a lot of work! That would be punishment.

You’d think they would have a Dillon S1050, or 750 around….if not an old 650!

      You and I both.
After the better part of two decades living overseas I came back to the States and bought a DIllon 1050 as a present to myself as my first reloading press….just in time for components to become unicorns.
To kill time while waiting for the component market to normalize a bit I’ve spent the time with my 3D Printer making accessories for it, currently trying to puzzle my way through an Open Source Bullet Feeder build….

Fer sure! I was well stocked in primers, buying them whenever they came on sale or just a good price. Now I am down to my last 4k of small pistol primers. I have been using small rifle and small pistol mag primers as substitutes, just to keep this tiny reserve. No seeing Any primers out in the wild for going on three years has gotten me into a foul mood with the whole manufacturing/distribution system.

Chris – Real large volume shooters use Dillion. I have two. Yes, I do own a couple green machines, but they are under my bench somewhere.
