The irony is that Dependocrats and SJWs are protesting the policies and rules of the politicians that they voted for who have had decades to correct their “systemic racism” but since they kept being elected didn’t bother to change the status quo. If you voted for the system you are protesting whose fault is the problem? I’m sure there are several million people who are “outraged” but there are a few Hundred Million who think you got what you voted for, why are you surprised?

Bleak picture, that. I don’t think we’re – QUITE – at a “burning times” point. At least not yet. But things ARE getting awfully heated. Just a few days ago somebody spray painted graffiti on the Alamo Cenotaph (the monument to the fallen defenders of the Alamo). The graffiti said (roughly) “Down with white supremacy.” “Down with property (actually it spelled property “propit” but anybody can figure out what they were trying to say) over people.” and “Down with the Alamo”. Right now TPTB are trying to figure out the best way to clean off the graffiti while doing the least damage. They have a suspect in custody but, personally, I don’t expect much of anything to come of it. The mayor, District Attorney and most all the judges are democrats.

Note how that fantasy, like the fantasies of the left, shows a longing for mass killing and cultural purging, and an absolute conviction that mass killing and purging will “solve” “the problem”.

Apparently then, both “sides” want the same thing?

One wonders then, whether the imagined end goal (liberty verses communist dictatorship, or anything in between, and pick your favorite personality to build your cult around) has any real significance so long as the mass killing and cultural purging are part of the process fantasy.

Is it possible that regular people on both “sides” are being sold the same bill of goods, having the same goal but with the sales pitch being tailored very differently for the different audiences?

Is the exact route you take to get to Rome (or Babylon) terribly important, so long as you eventually get there? The anti-Christ will have you, it is said, whether by your hand or by your head, whereas Christ requires both your head and your hand.

I’ve always believed that the problem with robbing Peter to pay Paul is that when Peter goes broke, Paul is going to be very angry when further largesse is not forthcoming. And then Paul is going to come looking for the payer, not Peter.

At that point, what can the payer do? The usual progressive gambit of pointing a finger and shouting “It’s all Peter’s fault!” (For what? Not having more money to steal?) is unlikely to work.

And Paul, conditioned for literally centuries to lash out at anyone who fails to mollify him, will revert to his “training”.

But this time, it’s his “Masters” that he’s going to use the barbed-wire-wrapped 2 x 4 on.

Progressives love to stir up lynch mobs. They fail to consider the consequences of a perpetual mob mentality.

Kipling also addressed this in ‘Gods of the Copybook Headings’, still one of my favorite poems ever.

In the carboniferous epoch, we were promised abundance for all,
      By robbing selective Peter to pay for collective Paul;
But, though we had plenty of money, there was nothing our money could buy,
And the Gods of the Copybook Heading said: “If you don’t work, you die.”

When they realized Covid Apocalypse wasn’t succeeding in taking down President Trump (after also failing miserably with Russia! and Shampeachment), they immediately started this mad rioting. It proves just how desperate they are. But when this mad rioting also proves ineffective at taking down President Trump, their even more sinister plots remain as the only options left on their infected table – military coup and/or assassination. I’m thinking PDT has long known this about the Left’s evil capabilities and actual intentions, and has prepared accordingly.

The now openly treasonous “media” defending and covering up for Antifa terrorism is a criminal act against the Constitution, deserving cruel and unusual punishment.

I’m about as far from being an Ivory Tower philosophy “expert” or “social scientist” as can be imagined.

The thought hit me not long ago that a lot of our problems might be rooted in a false assumption about the basic nature of the human creature.

Civilization as we know it or think we know it in this country is NOT the norm for the human race, it an aberration among a relatively small percentage of the 7 Billion+ people on earth. Homo Sapiens have been around a lot longer than the few thousand years that Civilization as we mean it has existed.

How long have dogs been domesticated? Yet they will revert, go feral, if forced in order to survive. A feral dog can be “saved” and rehabilitated by keeping it well fed, amused and given a lot of attention but miss 2 feedings in a row and it will happily eat your cat.

So what does it take to cause a Homo Sapien to go feral? Or is feral actually the norm without domestication and training? That requires individual attention, the Government (as big and all encompassing as it is) isn’t big enough to give individual attention to over 325,000,000 people.

Maybe we need more “families” with both parents present and involved with their children from day one. I didn’t always enjoy the discipline I received as a child but it did teach me that actions have consequences and I can’t identify any lasting bad effects from a sore butt many years ago.

Would anyone like to try to expand on this thought/theme? I would like to see where someone else could take it.

ExNuke, if “feral” in this context means a population that protects and provides for its own self, then yes that *was* the norm until the domestication and training inflicted by decades of “individual attention” (aka vote/control buying) by gov.

And continuing with the wild dog parallel, there is likely no better family grouping with parents following their God-given instincts and abilities to nurse and nurture, and protect and provide…and discipline is a guaranteed given. Wild dogs prosper in nature.

Until gov came along (see vote/control buying above) homo sapiens too were self-sufficient and fruitful according to the Grand Design. If we devolve (I would say re-evolve) to a feral state, those whose domestication has left them dependent and helpless may ultimately perish by one means or another. But those who did not sell their minds and souls and in fact had their earned assets stolen by gov to hand out all that “individual attention”, will survive and prosper, having never lost their ability and desire to follow God’s law, to be and deserve to be in His Image with dominion over all else except Him.

If reverting to feral is what the domesticated think they want, so be it. Those who have retained their hearts, minds, souls, and self-dependency should prepare to defend from the rioting thieving murderous fake ferals and their gov which will seek to re-domesticate them…and us.

“Civilized” is not a natural state. It has long been observed that it is merely a thin veneer.
Since, as Jordan Peterson has pointed out, it is the responsibility of the parent(s) to civilize their little barbarians to interact with society it is little wonder that our cities are now in flames simply on account of the State making a lousy parent.
Antifa is the embodiment of the desire to revert to a State of Nature, their adherents believing it to be superior to all those stupid rules people want to push on them.
Of course, Antifa could only exist in this super-abundant society we live in. They simply cannot imagine the struggle of a Life of Want.

Several thoughts: COVID-19 has generated a demographic of folks who never owned a firearm, and have learned the hard way how hard it is to legally obtain one. For that they can thank their Blue State masters. I predict a new subset of 2A supporters. The urban riots may do the same thing for the African-American community.

If POTUS is legally barred from declaring Antifa as a terrorist group, investigating them under RICO Act would achieve the same effect.

Be positive, but assume nothing. We have seen in Minneapolis what happens when you passively observe. One Adult Paying Attention Could Have Prevented This. (This was an actual headline in the National Enquirer many years ago. Still valid.)

What mode of transportation was used?

Currently, I’m in the process of educating a blue-state liberal on the finer points of acquiring some self defense firepower and modifying the guns to optimize their home security potential. He’s learning that a Ruger Ranch Rifle fires the same .223 ammo as an AR-15, but it’s legal to own one where he lives, and a Remington Wingmaster 12 gauge is the same thing that’s carried in the riot gun rack on those tiki torch SUV’s that are so jokingly called “Police Cars”. Then there’s the matter where to of buy ammo without needing a quart of K-Y Jelly. He’s in the process of figuring out that yes, there is a difference in #4 birdshot and #4 buckshot! He’s making progress, even it they are baby steps right now!

Isn’t it the commonly accepted opinion that Sodom and Gomorrah are now at the bottom of the Dead Sea? If that’s not the case, it really should be!
