1. Expect a lot of urging to collect Citizen’s firearms by the usual suspects.
2. Citizens check and zero your personal firearms and lay in ammunition.
3. When these animals try to do what they did in Israel be prepared to defend yourself and your family AND other helpless Citizens. Veterans get up off of your couches and get back into shape!
4. Pray to your God for strength.
Any action by an outside force against citizens ,whether or not said citizens manage to exact their toll against the attackers, will indeed be seized upon as a reason to remove any and all firearms from the populace to ‘protect’ them since it’s obviously the firearms that are the problem, never mind that anything that will be used against the populace will have come in via an iranian shipping container labelled as a ‘diplomatic pouch’.
They discovered a few of those in Germany a couple of years back and there’s no reason not to think there are hundreds more scattered around the world waiting for the time they’re to be issued out once enough military aged male ‘refugees’ are in place.
The sad part is that I’m starting to think that Western governments are not only aware of this but complicit in it. They’ve probably been assured that they’ll be allowed to rule over what’s left once thay have a reason to invoke permament ‘martial law’ or in our case the ‘Emergencies Act’ that so far has only been used to stop peaceful protests against overreaching and punitive gov’t policies. The reality is that they’ll be next.
Our ‘PM’ has stated very clearly that “Canadians have no right to defend themselves” and has made any means of self defence comparable to that which is expected to be used against them illegal by Order-in-Cabinet and subject to seizure with no discussion whatsoever in Parliament or anywhere else.
We’ll be reduced to kitchen knives or a stick of firewood against an AK or perhaps an AR taken from the stockpile the *resident gifted the taliban as a congratulatory present for their conquest, and if someone manages to stop one attacker and take their weapon and dare to use it against the others to defend their family or neighbours, they’ll be the ones punished for ‘possessing a prohibited weapon’

Same here weapon/ammo-wise; and I have a year on you — both of us pre-War. I have arranged for my son and two daughters (all of whom are excellent shots) to quietly gather up the weapons, et al, upon my leaving this mortal coil, and see to protecting their families (one son-in-law is a Marine…)
From what I’ve seen from that old sojer and knowing where you are, I might have my son and fam in Abacoa (Jupiter) look you up (with advance notice so as not to trigger your defense mechanism themselves) when the big one comes…he can bring two sets of 39 yo eyes and better marksmanship than me (I ain’t bad, used to be better) to add to the squad. Anyway, you got married almost as young as me, so if I got to 83 (I won’t) I would have a 66 year anniv…but damn whenever I get feeling old y’all shake me right out of it with all these octogenarian tales!
Since we alternate hosting Thanksgiving and Christmas each year, the sons and I and the eldest g-daughter take an afternoon and go to a local range and perforate a few dozen targets. The Coastie and the engineer are very good shots but the big surprise a few years back was my wife. She and a girl-friend showed up at the range to collect the g-daughter for a shopping trip. She asked to pop off a few since it had been several years since she had fired a pistol (a nice 9mm). She promptly put 8 out 12 in the 10-ring.
I have no doubt that if some bad guys head to our little ranch with bad intentions they will pay a heavy price.
Sounds like my girlfriend, but she’s a crack shot even using her off hand, However I am a much better shot than she is with the long gun.
She knows if it looks like a possible SHTF scenario to pack up and head up here. She knows to also avoid the main highways, taking routes we’ve scouted out over the past couple of years.
Are we paranoid? Wrong question. The proper question is “Are we paranoid enough?”
I’m so old I even forget my Birthday. So Happy Birthday DBD and any others for this year remaining and the next as far as it goes. If those military age invaders, or any others, come looting within my eyesight, they are getting a load of buckshot complete with pureed Black Widow venom from the un-evicted spiders in the barrels.
