When “politicians” consider their citizens disposable and replaceable it is way past time for the citizens to dispose of and replace said “politicians.”

    Enough air quotes for you?

If only we had a Department of Justice that is loyal to the United States of America, the United States Constitution, and the citizens of the United States of America, and actually acts to protect and defend them.

The only thought they even give regarding citizens is: “Which ones can we collect money from, to pay off the ones we can’t, for votes? And keep our power to continue.”

That was the CAF B-17 that was hit and lost with all hands last summer at an airshow.

They are a great organization and losing them is a tragedy. Currently only 3 B-17’s left flying. Well now that Gunpowder has one, 4.

Love the “Good As Gold” B-17! The “Memphis Belle” B-17 (not the original, the one used in the movie) flew in for the Rochester, NY airshow and I went aboard and explored it. As a kid, one of my favorite TV shows was “12 O’Clock High” and the inside of a B-17 appeared bigger than it actually is and space is tight. I had to suck my gut in when passing through the bomb bay! 🙂

My inner mathematician child is dancing a jig at the very nice fractaline aspect of that last panel with the large outer prop cowlings framing the propped wow-lings in the middle of the image. And even the large fractaline cockpit at the top of the imag…um, best stop short and not go there while I’m still barely just this side of having to go to Confession, eh?…

I flew on the B-17 ‘909’ from the
    Collins Aviation Foundation 3 times.
A couple of times there were old
guys who were adding to the missions
    they had flown in WWII.
The ‘909’unfortunately crashed in Branford Ct.
on Oct. 2 2019. Some survived.
I was not on that flight. They now
are working on a replacement B-17.

B-17 bombbay load: 4-8000 lbs depending on model
Mi24 load: 4000 lbs plus eight ‘passengers’ seated in internal racks

Mi24 has a much faster climb to altitude and reload time too 😉

I spent a few minutes in the left seat of “Aluminum Overcast”, the B-17 owned by the Experimental Aircraft Association. Dad was along on that flight- – – -the first time he had been up in one since being a command pilot in WW II. Priceless! His ride cost the family $600.00- – – – -mine was a freebie, since I had fixed an essential piece of ground equipment the night before the air show!

Also SAM is an acronym for Surface to Air Missile.

Lotsa high flying targets emanating from the Great DC Swamp, and numerous high flying spy balloons from the ChiComs too!

    Two minutes to launch …

Except with our SAM it’s a SATellite, or Surface to Air Turkey that’s launched.
