The most obvious difference was that as a high-school student, I could generally walk through a hallway without having half-a-dozen “minority” types surrounding me and trying to kill me for no readily-apparent or adequately-explainable reason.
I just had to worry about the jocks with football scholarships, who would beat people up “just because”.
Never went to High School (due to family situation and health reasons). When I was old enough, I took a test and got my GED. Enlisted in the Marine Corps. When I got out, got a year of college by taking the CLEP test. Went to school for another year then stopped. The lack of high school experience left me unprepared for college. Who knew? Years later, took the Civil Service Exam, did well, and ended up working for the department of Labor for 32 years. I’m good at tests.
My parents travelled North to
South regularly (East Coast) when I
was young; I experienced different
schooling.
The North was more refined, and
regulated, you either rebelled or
went along.
The South was more basic, and down
to earth, and had Corporal punishment.
After some particular infraction, you
would usually be given a choice of
staying after school for a long time,
or taking a number of licks with a
paddle, while bending over a chair.
Any guy worth anything would take
the paddle.
Up North, they were horrified that you
could get hit with a paddle down South.
Usually, they would just call your parents
and make you stay in the office.
It all gave me a certain perspective on life
in general.
Last thing a high school kid needs is “refinement”, combined with a total lack of instruction in logic, reason, and self-determination and no wonder the system has totally broken down as to any actual 3R’s education.
Couple licks from my old shop teach with his paddle that had a name and a couple holes drilled in it for good measure and my “rebellion” got reined in pretty quick.
Corporal punishment might be the actual key to taking back our schools, our education system, and our society. (Heh. I first typed in capital punishment; that applies a good ways down the road when/if the corporal punishment didn’t take).
Florida has struggled on education ever since the do-gooders stepped in to shut down Mr. McLlwain’s paddle, but we got the capital punishment down, DeSantis got an Express Lane going on, with 19 in 2025 and 12 so far this year, for what it’s worth, all but five of them were schooled elsewhere in non-corporal punishment environments even back into the 60’s.
The main problem with the 3 Rs education is it lacks that vital fourth R.
Reason’n.
That’s because said fourth R is A) just as hard as ‘rithmatic and B) teaches the child to question authority, which is absolutely verboten in an authoritarian factory model public school that relies on low quality (and thus low IQ) rote teaching.
And don’t just blame the Democrats for imposing this travesty.
Practically EVERY politician relies on a gullible electorate.

Give me an example of successful Black Civilization. (Outside the westernized world)
Let’s define success as being a net contributor to the positive things in society.
Give me an example anywhere on earth. It doesn’t have to be a whole country, even a city will do. Vacation islands with ties to European nations don’t count. Heck, find one town (3000 people or more).
It’s not just Code Twos; it’s tribalist cultures in general. They all operate on the same principles;
1. We are Perfect. Our God says so.
2. Anything that goes wrong is therefore Somebody Else’s Fault.
3. Kill that Somebody Else and Take Their Stuff- Problem Solved.
4. Repeat whenever life gets boring.
Please note that Western Post-Modern Progressivism is also definable as a tribalist culture.

We had the entitled “School board” kids to contend with.
