Try the veal ‘Q and don’t forget to tip your waitstaff.

Julie Newmar, as Rhoda in “My Living Doll,” was once my favorite female robot; Jo has replaced her.

    • JTC

My fave ‘bot chick has to be Ray Bradbury’s TZ version in I Sing The Body Electric; the perfect female presence for everything but…

And for that it’s got to be the real deal. I mean three quarters of sexual love may be physical, but the other half is all mental…Sorry Jo.

Good luck with Zed too…all the updates even Javelon can come up with can not compete with Sam,

      • Browncoat57

Math may be hard, but it’s accurate.

        • Sexual romantic love? I give 100% on that hard part.

Then I give the rest on that other part. 😉

(Little did Yogi know the effect his wisdom would have on logic, innuendo, and social construct. How about “pair up in threes” or
“He hits from both sides of the plate; he’s amphibious”. OMG.

  • JTC

Nice ray gun. Kid’s close to ready for the tandem .22 thing out behind the barn.

    • AngryWhiteMaleChauvanistNeanderthalRightwingExtremist PaulS

Zed needs to teach him a little trigger finger discipline first. Then onward and outward with the rest. 🙂

      • That along with the other rules, is a yuge part of what tandem teaching is all about. And absolutely some of the best bonding moments between father and son -or daughter- ever in life.

  • Kafiroon

    I think they update…
    Like Windows 10.

OR, like Apple, runs on Only what they allow you to have and NO substitutions.
And when it dies… It’s Dead!

    • Henry

They update daily, just like Windows.
Masks are bad, then good, need two, need one but only to show you’re not Republican.
      HCQ is bad, then good.
All Lives Matter is bad, then good.
Calling out the military to suppress rioting is bad, then good.
      Pipelines are bad, then good.
Securing the border is good, then bad.
The filibuster is good, then bad.
Challenging elections is good, then bad.
You can go on all weekend. Order more ‘Q.

  • Mike-SMO

Dangerous language for a “literal” bott. If Skye says one wrong word, they will need a bulldozer to clean the “family” room. Does “Jo” have a “safety”?

    Pamela: [wink.]

    • Pamela

Safety is most likely 6 to 8 inches in length 😉
      Kept firmly in place

Zed, yesterday you wanted short and brief. Jo just gave you short and brief, “Progressives can’t update”.

  • My Way Or -->

When does the other shoe drop? Bitten is more and more mumbly, and we’re only 5 months into this… you know, THING! If only someone could bring him some papers to sign that restart the Keystone XL Pipeline…. and tell him it’s for more bird-killing wind farms…..

    • Neanderthal JSStryker

I am certain that xiden’s handlers carefully screen every bit of paperwork that crosses his desk to make sure nothing like that happens

  • To Kafiroon,

Apple has something called “Wine” as does Linux. They are Windoze emulators.
As for software, go look for Open Office and install it on any platform. It is a MS Office style integrated package that can save files in any format needed.

You can find an old desktop and install either RedHat, Ubuntu, SuSe or Debian Linux and get all of the software you want, 99% of it is free. Use ‘Wine’ so you can run Windoze games.

The Apple Mac has so many software platforms that allow hosting of Windoze applications, that I can’t list them all here.

They only die if you let them.

    • Kafiroon

Thanks. We all know the ridiculous problems these large corporations have built into their products that should be as stable as electronics will allow. Just like the progs, they are highly failure prone and operate on bad assumptions. I use this for entertainment value.

    • Neanderthal JSStryker

Been running open office for years, a good program.

    • President Elect Toxic Deplorable Racist SAH Neanderthal B Woodman Domestic Violent Extremist SuperStraight

      Hardthought,
There’s another Office package out there, LibreOffice.
Between Apache OpenOffice & LibreOffice, they’re close enough kissin’ cousins as shouldn’t make any difference. Libre is the newer.
As I read the link, Apache is older, and tends to make changes in less-often, bigger dumps. If the picture on the link is any example, I have an older version of Apache. Mine looks nothing like that.
Libre makes smaller changes more often.
      YMMV.

  • CaptDMO

Oh, they can “update”, to “The latest Studies Show…”
It’s just that they can’t reboot.
    And NEVER “Back it up”.

  • CaptDMO

Historically, it’s in their code to crash.
    Oh, like Roundup Ready corn?
And by the way, “Be sure to drink your Ovaltine, and get your children’s Pfizer experimental RNA shots!”

  • WayneM

I’m glad you have a healthy skepticism about Big Tech & Big Government, Chris… Saving my pennies for this year’s donation. Let’s make it BIG, DBD regulars…

  • Chris, love the breakdown of your system walls and proofing, and I will be among the first if no longer the highest contributors. But I do want to talk about that last part…

One, I won’t be doing any bank info forms for authorize.net or anybody else, over my line of shit I won’t do because fuck them all that’s why. I’ll send a paper check.

Two, not sure if it will be to “restore” or ‘replace” the Republic…but we best not dick around too long or neither will be possible. My preference? CRA Now!

    • I worded it poorly; it’s like any online purchase where you fill in credit card data only. Or, you can send a good ol’ check or money order. Or ammo. Or 36x24x36 woman. Prime rib…

        • Too Tall

          The lady has exquisite tastes.

      • AngryWhiteMaleChauvanistNeanderthalRightwingExtremist PaulS

What kind of ammo you need? Worth considering 😉
Heck, I can get Cabelas points and donate?!? Awesome!

    • Did I leave this correction off or did you zap it? Oh well, zap it again if you need to. Truth though.

      Correction: It’s “Murka, Bytches!”
It’s that East Coast (of Florida! 🙂 ) illiteracy again.

  • President Elect Toxic Deplorable Racist SAH Neanderthal B Woodman Domestic Violent Extremist SuperStraight

CM, I’m like a race horse at the starting gate, waiting for the “donate” whistle.

  • Pamela

Wonder what a “Hard Reset” to Factory Specs would do to the them?
Outside of disconnecting from the Grid and Pulling the Motherboard etc…
Can’t toss anything into the Recycle Bin as they would surface later on in a different risky configuration.

  • NotYetInACamp

Progressives may not update, but they create another new normal.
Facts do not matter to them.
Facts are what they say they are. Facts change as they say so.
    The agenda programming never changes.
Two steps forward, then one step back, then two steps forward is acceptable and part of their programing.
They never concede. Any agreement is only a new barricade to the enemy and a new position to fight for more on whatever the current agenda and facts are.
    and so on.

    https://consentfactory.org/2021/05/25/greetings-from-new-normal-germany/

    Progressives in action.

    • TBeholder

it is reality itself that progressivism attacks. Reality is the perfect enemy: it always fights back, it can never be defeated, and infinite energy can be expended in unsuccessfully resisting it.
      — An Open Letter to Open-Minded Progressives by Mencius Moldbug

“The new normal” is not the goal here, it’s the problem.
Whenever you let them have their way, their only possible courses of action are:
      A. to quickly make up something even crazier.
      B. return to some sober state… which is what they try to avoid.

So when they win (which usually happens when facing a mostly-fake opposition), they end up like junkies: eventually the old dosage stops working, and they have to crank it up a little more. Even those who are afraid of this.

      • But Moldbug couldn’t have been more backward in his terminology.

It is “facts” that are inalienable but it is “reality” that is infinitely malleable…create a perception (through constant teevee and censored online content which they totally control), and that morphs into reality rather readily when made palatable with a spoonful of sugar. And that reality is then real, whether or not facts are involved.

Hence their new normal quickly becomes our new normal too. I mean, just look around you. Could you have conceived this as normal two years ago?

  • That right there is some truth NotYet…

But we’ve discussed this before; facts may be facts but they are irrelevant.
It’s “reality” that matters, that’s what the “new normal” is…

They don’t update, they “reset” to their created reality. If they are allowed.

“Never again”? I dunno. That German blurb says otherwise.
